What did Jesus' body consist of?.... II.

(Supplement regarding B.D. 8586)

You need never fear misguided teachings if you turn to Me directly for clarification. I will always provide you with the correct explanation as soon as something is incomprehensible to you. For you, who shall spread the truth, must also be able to refute every objection, you yourselves must know how everything relates to each other, otherwise you cannot be true representatives of the truth.... And thus you should also know that all matter is solidified spiritual substance.... spiritual strength, which was once emanated by Me as a being and did not fulfil its actual purpose.... because these beings refused to be active according to My will. As a result of this refusal the spiritual substance hardened, that is, it solidified and I gave shape to this substance.... The hardened substance became matter....

However, by virtue of My power I can also let matter arise which has not first gone through the process of hardening of spiritual substance.... By virtue of My will I can solidify spiritual strength into a form.... This is what I did in order to create a cover of flesh for Myself which, however, was not meant to be any different from that of any other human being, with the exception that it did not originate from My adversary's realm but I joined the spiritual substance directly to creation, so that it indeed took the path through the creations which matter has to take in order to carry out its serving functions and thereby gradually develops to the stage where it shall serve as an abode for a soul....

Every person's cover of flesh is still at the initial stage of development, it is not yet spiritualised and after a person's death it must generally still travel a very long path of development until it may shelter as part of a soul in a body.... The time the spiritual substance needed in order to serve a soul as a body was also granted by Me to this solidified strength in order to travel the path through the creations until it was permitted to serve Jesus as an external form. For this soul required a body which was of the same consistency as any other human body, because He wanted to spiritualise this body as well and because, through His body, He was also subject to all temptations by immature spirit which had hoped to gain influence over the soul through the body.

Thus, His body's substance was effectively non-fallen spirit, yet it had travelled through the realm of the fallen spirits, the body likewise belonged to the creation which shelters the fallen beings and during this path of development had to prove itself already by experiencing and enduring the pain of its bound, constrained state.... which was part of Jesus' act of Salvation as well, nevertheless also contributed towards the complete spiritualisation of Jesus' body.... For as a result of the process through creation the body was as similarly natured as any other human body, and Jesus the man had to fight the same battles against cravings and weaknesses, and yet the body was without sin because it was intended to serve Me as an abode and I already dwelled in Jesus the infant and at times also proved it to Jesus.

It must be understandable to you that Jesus' spiritualised body could not have belonged to another original spirit, that I therefore took care of this physical body Myself and that it was an act of My power and wisdom.... but that, on the other hand, its nature had to be such that its spiritualisation could also take place in order to substantiate the process of His resurrection and to give people the incentive to strive for the body's spiritualisation as well. For this purpose the individual substances of Jesus' body took the path through the works of creation too and endured the torment of constraint, so that Jesus' act of Salvation would be a complete and utter success.... For then the external immature forces exerted influence on Jesus the man, they tried to entice the still weak bodily substances to become sinful, yet Jesus resisted them, He fought against all temptations and silenced the body's every craving, so truly, His battle was not an easy one despite the fact that he was without sin.... Nothing was spared Him precisely because He wanted to exemplify to his fellow human being how to live, He wanted to provide the evidence that it is possible for every person to achieve the same.... to spiritualise body and soul....

Nevertheless, even if it is not yet entirely comprehensible to you, you should believe that Jesus' body and soul were without sin and that precisely because of this Jesus had to suffer far more, because He had entered a sinful region and had to succeed in the harshest battle on earth a person will ever have to go through, for everything of an earthly nature besieged His body and His soul, and only His greater than great love stood up to these pressures, for Jesus, the human being, sheltered the fullness of 'God' within Him and together with Me He was victorious and broke the adversary's power....

Aanvulling op BD. 8586 - Wat was het lichaam van Jezus?

U hoeft nooit bang te zijn voor verkeerde onderrichtingen, wanneer u zich tot Mij zelf wendt om opheldering. En Ik zal u steeds het juiste uitsluitsel geven, zodra iets voor u onbegrijpelijk is. Want u die de waarheid zult moeten verbreiden, zult ook zelf elke tegenwerping moeten kunnen weerleggen. U zult zelf moeten weten hoe alles samenhangt, daar u anders geen juiste vertegenwoordigers van de waarheid zou kunnen zijn.

Weet dus dat elke materie verhard geestelijks is. Geestelijke kracht die door Mij eens als wezen werd uitgestraald en haar eigenlijke doel niet vervulde, omdat deze wezens weigerden volgens mijn wil werkzaam te worden. Deze weigering had het verharden van de geestelijke substantie tot gevolg, dus werd ze dichter en Ik gaf deze substantie nu vormen.

De verharde substantie werd materie.

Nu kan Ik echter krachtens mijn macht ook materie laten ontstaan die niet eerst de verharding van geestelijke substantie heeft doorgemaakt.

Ik kan de geestelijke kracht door mijn wil verdichten tot vorm.

En dat heb Ik gedaan om Mij eenmaal een vleselijk omhulsel voor Mij zelf te verschaffen, dat echter niet anders moest zijn dan dat van ieder mens. Ze was alleen niet afkomstig uit het rijk van mijn tegenstander, maar de geestelijke substantie werd rechtstreeks van Mij uit aan de schepping toegevoegd. Ze legt dus wel de gang door de scheppingen af, die de materie moet afleggen om haar dienende functies te verrichten en om zich dus langzaam te ontwikkelen tot aan het stadium waarin ze een ziel tot verblijfplaats moet dienen.

Elk vleselijk omhulsel van een mens staat nog in het beginstadium van de ontwikkeling. Ze is nog niet vergeestelijkt en moet meestal na de dood van de mens nog een hele lange ontwikkelingsgang afleggen, tot ze zelf zich als behorend bij een ziel in een lichaam mag bergen.

De tijd nu, die het geestelijke nodig heeft om als lichaam van een ziel te kunnen dienen, is ook aan deze door Mij verdichte kracht toegekend, om de gang door de schepping te gaan, voordat ze de ziel van Jezus mocht dienen als uiterlijke vorm. Want deze ziel had een lichaam nodig dat net zo geaard was als elk ander menselijk lichaam, omdat Hij ook dit lichaam wilde vergeestelijken en omdat ook Hij door Zijn lichaam aan alle verzoekingen van onrijpe geesten was blootgesteld, die door het lichaam invloed hoopten te krijgen op de ziel. In wezen was dus de substantie van Zijn lichaam geen gevallen geestelijks, maar was het door het rijk van het gevallene heen gegaan. Het lichaam behoorde eveneens tot de schepping die het gevallene bergt en het moest zich in deze ontwikkelingsgang ook waarmaken, doordat de geestelijke substantie in haar onvrije, gebonden toestand kwellingen onderging en moest verdragen. Dat behoorde ook al tot het verlossingswerk van Jezus, maar het droeg ook bij tot de volledige vergeestelijking van het lichaam van Jezus.

Want het lichaam was door de gang door de schepping net zo geaard als elk ander menselijk lichaam. En de mens Jezus had dezelfde strijd te voeren tegen de begeerten en zwakheden en toch was het lichaam zonder zonde, omdat het Mij zelf als verblijfplaats moest dienen en Ik ook al in het kindje Jezus vertoefde en Jezus daar af en toe ook het bewijs voor leverde. Het moet voor u begrijpelijk zijn dat het vergeestelijkte lichaam van Jezus geen andere oer-geest kon toebehoren. Dat dus Ik zelf voor dit materiële lichaam zorgdroeg en het een werk van mijn macht en wijsheid was, maar dat het anderzijds zo geaard moest zijn, dat zijn vergeestelijking eveneens kon plaatsvinden om juist de toedracht van de opstanding te funderen en de mensen aan te sporen eveneens de vergeestelijking van het lichaam na te streven. Met dit doel dus ging ook het lichaam van Jezus in zijn afzonderlijk geestelijke substanties door de scheppingswerken en nam het de kwellingen van het gebonden zijn op zich om het verlossingswerk van Jezus in alle opzichten tot een succes te laten worden. Want nu werkten van buiten af de onrijpe krachten op de mens Jezus in. Ze probeerden de nog zwakke lichamelijke substanties aanleiding te geven tot zonde, maar Jezus bood weerstand. Hij streed tegen alle verzoekingen en bracht alle begeerten van het lichaam tot zwijgen. En Zijn strijd was waarlijk niet gemakkelijk, ondanks dat Hij zonder zonde was.

Er is Hem niets bespaard gebleven, juist omdat Hij Zijn medemensen het leven wilde voorleven, omdat Hij het bewijs wilde leveren dat het voor ieder mens mogelijk is hetzelfde te volbrengen:

lichaam en ziel te vergeestelijken.

Maar dit ene zult u moeten geloven, ook wanneer het voor u nog niet helemaal begrijpelijk is: dat het lichaam en de ziel van Jezus zonder zonde waren, maar dat Jezus juist daarom veel meer te lijden had, omdat Hij zich in een zondig gebied moest begeven en de zwaarste strijd moest doorstaan die een mens ooit doorstaan zal. Want al het aardse rondom Hem bracht Zijn lichaam en Zijn ziel in het nauw. En alleen Zijn overgrote liefde hield stand tegen deze benauwenissen en kwellingen. Want de mens Jezus droeg “God” in alle volheid in zich. En met Mij tezamen heeft Hij gezegevierd en de tegenstander en diens macht gebroken.
