Meaning and purpose of existence: turning away from the world....

And it will soon become certain to you that the world cannot fulfil your wishes and desires, for it will disappoint everyone who still has a spark of spiritual life in him, i.e. it will not be able to permanently satisfy him who strives for the life which lasts forever. Only the one who is completely enslaved by the world and thus by the lord of this world will not cease his striving for this world, for the lord will not let him who holds him captive. Yet again and again God Himself will let the human being recognize the signs of this world's transience, again and again the world will disappoint the one whose soul God is still struggling for.... and again and again this will therefore be a means to release the human being from his love of the world, even though he still has to stand in the midst of the world because this is what life as a human being demands. But he will realize that the world is not the meaning and purpose of earthly life but that he is on earth for the sake of his soul and that it desires something else than the world can offer it. For this reason you humans can also expect a change in world events with certainty, you can be certain that many things will happen and might startle you out of your rest, for for the sake of the few who are still undecided which path they should take, the path will obviously be shown to them.... They shall still surrender their love for the world, and they will be helped to do so, for anyone who recognizes the world as deceptive and worthless will also not hesitate to surrender it for that which appears more valuable to him. And this purpose is pursued on God's part when He allows things which you humans often cannot understand and reconcile with God's love. For He always takes the individual's spiritual hardship and attitude into account and is always ready to help. And if the world seriously disappoints a person he will also find the path to God more easily.... And this is what He wants to achieve, that they seek God of their own free will and that He can then also let Himself be found. (18.5.1960) But as long as the world fulfils people's desire their gaze will also remain turned towards the world, and then they will not pay attention to a God, for they still regard earthly life as an end in itself which, after all, is only a means to an end. And only recurring failures can inspire them to think differently and make them reflect. And what people first perceive as a severe blow of fate can soon reveal a great blessing, it can change the person inwardly and also determine a different way of life which is beneficial for his soul. People are placed in the world, they are meant to prove themselves, to meet the requirements which serve the preservation of the body, but they should not forget the spiritual life for the sake of the world, which they absolutely have to live next to the earthly life if the earthly path of life is to be fulfilled. For the soul should mature, and it must be thought of, which is all too often neglected because of the world. And yet, the transience of earthly life, the worthlessness of the world, is so obvious and can be recognized by every person of good will and is also recognized by those who are responsible and therefore also think about the meaning and purpose of existence on earth. And God helps all those by letting them become ever more aware of the transience of the world.... by often forcibly removing what is only an obstacle to the ascent upwards.... And He will still often manifest Himself through fateful events which are not dependent on human will but clearly betray the intervention of a higher power. For He wants to be recognized, He wants to be called upon and asked for His help, He then wants to prove Himself to people through His obvious assistance, and He wants to push people away from the world and turn them towards the kingdom which is not of this world.... He wants people to seek Him so that He can also let Himself be found...._>Amen

Senso e scopo dell’esistenza: distogliersi dal mondo

E presto sarà per voi certezza che il mondo non può esaudire i vostri desideri e le vostre brame, perché ognuno che ha ancora in sé una scintilla di Vita spirituale sarà deluso, cioè il mondo non potrà accontentare a lungo colui che tende alla Vita che dura in eterna ma, soltanto colui che è caduto totalmente nel mondo e quindi nel signore di questo mondo perché questo signore non lo lascia andare. Ma sarà sempre Dio Stesso che farà riconoscere agli uomini i segni della caducità di questo mondo, il mondo deluderà sempre colui per la cui anima Dio lotta, e questo sarà sempre di nuovo un segno di liberare l’uomo dal suo amore per il mondo, benché debba ancora stare in mezzo al mondo, perché questo lo richiede la vita come uomo. Ma egli riconoscerà che il mondo non è il senso e lo scopo della vita terrena, ma che è sulla Terra per via della sua anima e questa desidera altro di ciò che il mondo può offrire. Perciò voi uomini potete anche con certezza aspettarvi un cambiamento nell’avvenimento mondiale, di questo potete essere certi, che certe cose avverranno e potrebbe spaventarvi dalla vostra calma, perché per via dei pochi che sono ancora indecisi quale via devono prendere, a costoro viene mostrata con evidenza la via. Devono ancora rinunciare all’amore per il mondo, ed in ciò saranno aiutati, perché chi riconosce il mondo come inganno e senza valore, non indugia nemmeno di rinunciarvi per ciò che gli sembra più prezioso. E da Parte di Dio viene perseguito questo scopo, quando concede delle cose che voi uomini sovente non comprendete e non potete far coincidere con l’Amore di Dio, perché Egli tiene sempre conto della miseria spirituale e della predisposizione interiore del singolo ed è sempre pronto ad aiutare. E quando il mondo delude seriamente un uomo, costui trova anche più facilmente la via verso Dio. Ed Egli vuole ottenere questo, che cerchino Dio nella libera Volontà ed Egli poi si fa anche trovare. (18.05.1960) Ma finché il mondo esaudisce il desiderio degli uomini, lo sguardo rimane anche rivolto al mondo, e non badano ad un Dio, perché considerano ancora la vita terrena come scopo a sé stessa, che è però soltanto il mezzo allo scopo. E soltanto dei fallimenti che si ripetono sempre di nuovo possono stimolarlo ad un pensare diverso e farli diventare riflessivi. E quello che dall’uomo dapprima viene percepito come duro colpo del destino, può presto far riconoscere una grande benedizione, l’uomo può cambiare interiormente e può anche esser spinto ad una diversa conduzione di vita, che sia adeguata alla sua anima. Gli uomini sono stati posti nel mondo, devono affermarsi a perseguire le pretese che servono alla conservazione del corpo, ma per via del mondo non devono dimenticare la vita spirituale, che devono condurre assolutamente accanto alla vita terrena, se la via della vita terrena deve essere compiuta. Perché l’anima deve maturare e si deve pensare a lei, cosa che viene troppo sovente dimenticato per via del mondo. E ciononostante la caducità del terreno, il senza valore del mondo è così evidente e riconoscibile da ogni uomo di buona volontà e viene riconosciuto da coloro, che sono responsabili e perciò riflettono anche sul senso e lo scopo dell’esistenza sulla Terra. E Dio aiuta tutti costoro, facendo loro imparare a conoscere sempre di più la caducità del mondo, mentre Egli stesso toglie con la Forza tutto ciò che significa soltanto un ostacolo per la risalita verso l’Alto. Ed Egli Si farà ancora sovente riconoscere mediante avvenimenti del destino, che non dipendono dalla volontà di un uomo, ma fanno riconoscere chiaramente l’Intervento di un Potere superiore. Perché Egli vuole essere riconosciuto, vuole essere invocato e che si chieda Aiuto a Lui, allora Egli Stesso vuole dimostrarSi agli uomini mediante la Sua evidente Prestazione d’Aiuto, e vuole respingere gli uomini dal mondo e rivolgerli al Regno che non è di questo mondo. Egli vuole, che gli uomini Lo cerchino, affinché Egli Si possa anche far trovare.
