Purification of the soul through love....
It contributes a lot to your purification if you only keep reminding yourselves of the commandments of love for God and your neighbour and ask yourselves how far you comply with these commandments. For if you are honest with yourselves you will never be satisfied with yourselves and your way of life, because you could always be more eager in your activity of love and often miss an opportunity. But already the will to act right and already the fact to carry out this self-examination is an advantage for your soul, for every good will has a beneficial effect. And during such a serious examination you will also become aware of your weaknesses, which every person still has, even if his will is good, until he is so eagerly active in love that he is now filled by the strength of love which also gives the will the right strengthening. Just never believe that you no longer need to purify your soul; never believe that you have already reached the degree which secures your entry into the kingdom of light. You must strive and work on yourselves as long as you live on earth, and you will only do well if you often devote yourselves to such inner reflections and try to fathom your faults and weaknesses. And your will will also be strengthened to constantly carry out the work on your soul, because such introspections already testify to your serious will to become perfect. Every omission of a good deed will come to your mind during self-examination, every failure or disregard of the divine commandments of love will come to your mind, and then you should only ever firmly resolve to improve yourselves and use every opportunity to make up for what you have neglected, and it will only result in a blessing for you that you will always fulfil the commandments of love for God and your neighbour more easily, because you will receive strength if your will is serious. The human being should once consider his duties towards his neighbour if he wants to fulfil this very commandment.... He should always remind himself that he should help his neighbour in every adversity and distress, be it of an earthly or spiritual nature.... And therefore he should not close his eyes to his neighbour's adversity, he should always remember how helpful help would be to him in the same adversity and how gratefully he would accept it. And he should always consider what his fellow human being is in need of, be it spiritually or physically.... For he should also try to remedy spiritual hardship where possible, because this is a work of love with a special effect on his fellow human being's soul. For this reason the human being cannot go into himself often enough and think about everything God requires of him through His commandments of love, for these are always the guideline for a correctly lived earthly change, he can always keep to these commandments if he wants to live his earthly life correctly and according to God's will, always as a blessing for himself and his fellow human beings.... For God requires nothing else of the human being than that he change into love, He only requires that he fulfils His commandments in order to grant him a blissful life in light and strength and freedom, which, however, is inconceivable without love.... And all perfection of the soul solely depends on the transformation (of selfish love) into unselfish love, which then also guarantees love for God and establishes the union with Him, on which all beatitude in the spiritual kingdom depends....

Beaucoup de choses contribuent à votre purification, si vous vous tenez devant les yeux seulement toujours de nouveau les Commandements de l'amour pour Dieu et pour le prochain et vous vous demandez jusqu'où vous exécutez ces Commandements. Parce que si vous êtes honnêtes envers vous-mêmes, vous ne serez jamais satisfaits de vous-mêmes et de votre chemin de vie, parce que vous pourriez être toujours plus fervents dans vos actions d'amour et souvent vous perdez une opportunité. Mais déjà la volonté d'agir bien et déjà le fait de dérouler cette auto-observation, c’est un avantage pour votre âme, parce que chaque bonne volonté a pour conséquence une Bénédiction. Dans un tel sérieux examen vous vous rendez aussi compte de vos faiblesses que chaque homme a encore, même lorsque sa volonté est bonne, tant qu’il est fervent dans ses actions dans l'amour qui maintenant le remplissent de Force d'amour qui donne à la volonté une juste fortification. Vous ne croyez jamais avoir besoin d'une purification de votre âme ; vous ne croyez jamais avoir déjà atteint ce degré qui vous assure l'entrée dans le Règne de la Lumière, vous devez tendre et travailler sur vous-mêmes tant que vous vivez sur la Terre et vous ferez seulement bien, si vous vous consacrez plus souvent à de telles observations intérieures et cherchez à sonder vos erreurs et vos faiblesses. Votre volonté sera fortifiée et cherchera à exécuter continuellement le travail sur l'âme, parce que de telles auto-observations témoignent déjà de votre sérieuse volonté à devenir parfaits. Chaque omission d'une bonne action vous viendra à l'esprit durant une auto-observation, il vous reviendra à l'esprit chaque échec ou négligence des divins Commandements d'amour, et alors vous devez seulement toujours prendre la solide résolution de vous améliorer et d’utiliser chaque occasion de faire ce que vous avez manqué de faire, et pour vous ce sera seulement une Bénédiction, et vous vous acquitterez avec toujours plus de facilité des Commandements de l'amour pour Dieu et pour le prochain, parce que vous sentez la Force si votre volonté est sérieuse. L'homme doit toujours s'occuper avec ses devoirs envers le prochain, lorsqu’il veut s'acquitter justement de ce Commandement. Il doit toujours tenir compte du fait qu'il doit aider le prochain dans toute misère et oppression, qu’elle soit de genre terrestre ou spirituel. Donc il ne doit pas tenir fermé les yeux devant sa misère, il doit toujours imaginer comment il apprécierait une aide s’il était dans la même misère et avec combien de gratitude il l'accepterait. Il doit toujours se rappeler du prochain qui est dans le besoin, soit spirituellement aussi bien que corporellement, parce qu'il doit chercher à soulager aussi la misère spirituelle là où cela est possible, parce que cela est une œuvre d'amour d’un effet particulier pour l'âme du prochain. Donc l'homme ne peut pas entrer en lui assez souvent et réfléchir sur tout ce que Dieu exige au travers de Ses Commandements de l'amour, parce que ceux-ci sont toujours la ligne de conduite pour un chemin de vie terrestre vécu d’une manière corrigée, il doit toujours se conformer à ces Commandements, s’il veut mener sa vie terrestre d’une manière juste et selon la Volonté de Dieu, toujours pour sa Bénédiction et celle de son prochain. Parce que Dieu n’exige pas de l'homme autre chose que de marcher dans l'amour, Il exige seulement qu’il s'acquitte de Ses Commandements pour lui offrir une Vie bienheureuse dans la Lumière, la Force et la Liberté, chose qui n'est pas concevable sans amour. Chaque perfectionnement de l'âme dépend uniquement de la transformation (de l'amour propre) en amour désintéressé, qui ensuite garantit aussi l'amour pour Dieu et établit l'unification avec Lui dont dépend chaque Béatitude dans le Règne spirituel.
