Mental blindness....

No light can shine on the spiritually blind unless he asks for his eyes to be opened so that he can see the light that shines on him. Therefore, the request for this is a prerequisite, which arises from the will to be allowed to see the light that has been withheld from him for so long. Therefore the human being must feel his own blindness, it must be a nuisance to him, he must be aware of the lack of being allowed to enjoy himself like sighted people, and he must therefore want to become sighted. Then the eye will also be opened to him, he will be allowed to receive light, for My light of love from eternity denies itself to no-one and finally to a person who desires it. But as long as people live in spiritual blindness, as long as they lack all knowledge about spiritual things, about spiritual correlations and about their own relationship with Me, their God and creator of eternity, then these people will not be aware of the fact that they are inadequately formed, that they are spiritually blind, instead, they will only consider their earthly abilities as important in order to successfully live their earthly life.... and they again only see earthly success and are satisfied when the world offers them what they desire. And since they themselves don't feel inadequately formed they also don't ask for what they lack.... for the light of realization.... and they remain blind in spirit. Thus the will has not yet become active, but without it the supply of light, of truth, is fruitless, for although they hear such through their fellow human beings they do not recognize it but only hear words and do not grasp their meaning. And the will again cannot be forcibly directed, it has to decide on its own. But through sermons they can nevertheless be made aware of their spiritual blindness, because it is sometimes possible that their hearts will open to such a sermon and then the will can be kindled to receive more light. For such people cannot be influenced in any other way than by conveying My word, and even this can still be fruitless but should nevertheless not be omitted, because the blind person should first experience that he is blind.... For what he has never known before he does not lack. And so the light shall be brought to every man, and the benefit of light shall be explained to him.... He should be told what other people can see with their healthy eyes and that it is also possible to give him the healthy eyes if he wants this himself.... Spiritual blindness is so serious because it has an effect in the kingdom of the beyond, for the human being enters that kingdom after his death in profound darkness if he has not succeeded in at least acquiring a glimmer of light on earth, in which he would then also know his way around the spiritual kingdom better. But the completely blind will hardly reach the light on the other side because they will then resist every spark of light which touches them; after all, they don't yet know the blessing of light, and the bliss of being able to move in spheres full of light will also remain denied to them until they enter a circle of light themselves and allow their eyes to be opened there, which, however, is much more difficult for them than on earth. For this reason the light shall already be brought close to all people on earth, and anyone who accepts it will do well, for then the darkness will have left him and he will never ever need to fear being devoured by it, for the light will then shine for him forever....

Geestelijke blindheid

Voor de geestelijk blinde kan geen licht schijnen, tenzij hij vraagt dat hem de ogen worden geopend om het licht dat hem toestraalt, te kunnen zien. Dus is de vraag om licht voorwaarde, voortkomend uit de wil, om het licht te mogen zien dat hem zo lang onthouden was. Daarom moet de mens zijn eigen blindheid gewaar worden, ze moet hem tot last worden, hij moet zich bewust zijn van het gemis om zich net als ziende mensen te mogen verheugen, hij moet het dus willen dat hij ziende wordt. Dan zal hem ook het oog worden geopend, hij zal Licht mogen ontvangen, want het eeuwige Licht van Mijn Liefde is voor iedereen beschikbaar en niet in de laatste plaats voor een mens die het begeert.

Zolang echter de mensen in geestelijke blindheid voortgaan, zolang hun elke kennis over geestelijke zaken ontbreekt, over geestelijke verbanden en over hun eigen verhouding tot MIJ, hun GOD en Schepper van eeuwigheid, zolang dus zijn deze mensen zich niet bewust, dat ze gebrekkig gevormd zijn, dat ze blind zijn in de geest; veeleer beschouwen ze hun aardse capaciteiten als alleen voornaam om hun aardse leven met succes af te leggen, en ze zien weer alleen het aardse succes en zijn tevreden wanneer de wereld hun dat biedt wat ze voor zichzelf wensen.

En daar zij zelf zich niet gebrekkig gevormd voelen, vragen ze ook niet om datgene wat hun ontbreekt, om het licht van het inzicht, en ze blijven blind in de geest. De wil is nog niet aktief geworden, maar zonder dit is de toevoer van het licht, van de waarheid, vruchteloos, want ofschoon ze hiervan horen door hun medemensen, herkennen ze haar niet, maar ze horen alleen maar woorden en begrijpen de zin er niet van. En de wil kan weer niet gedwongen gericht worden, hij moet uit zichzelf een beslissing nemen.

Maar door predikingen kunnen ze toch gewezen worden op hun geestelijke blindheid, omdat het toch soms mogelijk is dat hun harten zich openen door zo'n prediking en de wil dan kan worden opgewekt meer Licht te ontvangen. Want anders dan door het doen toekomen van Mijn Woord kan op zulke mensen niet worden ingewerkt, en ook dit kan nog vruchteloos zijn, maar moet toch niet worden nagelaten, omdat de blinde eerst eens moet ervaren dat hij blind is. Want wat hij tevoren nooit heeft gekend, dat mist hij ook niet. En zo moet het licht aan ieder mens worden voorgehouden en de weldaad van het licht moet hem duidelijk worden gemaakt. Er moet hem gezegd worden wat andere mensen allemaal kunnen zien met hun gezonde ogen en dat ook de mogelijkheid bestaat hem die gezonde ogen te geven wanneer hij dit zelf wil.

De geestelijke blindheid weegt daarom zo zwaar omdat ze zich doet gevoelen in het rijk hierna, want in diepste duisternis betreedt de mens dat rijk nà zijn dood aan wie het niet gelukt is, zich minstens een glimpje licht op aarde te hebben verschaft, waarin hij dan ook beter de weg kan vinden in het geestelijke rijk. Maar volledig blinden zullen daarginds moeilijk het licht bereiken, en omdat zij zich dan verweren tegen elk lichtvonkje dat hen treft, kennen ze toch nog niet de weldaad van het licht; en de gelukzaligheid van het kunnen verkeren in lichtvolle sferen zal hun ook zolang onthouden blijven, tot ze zelf een lichtkring binnengaan en zich nu daar hun ogen laten openen, wat hun toch heel wat moeilijker valt dan op aarde.

Daarom moet al op aarde het licht dicht bij de mensen worden gebracht en wie het aanneemt, doet daar goed aan, want dan heeft hij de duisternis verlaten en hij zal nooit meer bang hoeven te zijn door haar verslonden te worden, want het Licht zal hem dan eeuwig bijlichten.
