Mental blindness....

No light can shine on the spiritually blind unless he asks for his eyes to be opened so that he can see the light that shines on him. Therefore, the request for this is a prerequisite, which arises from the will to be allowed to see the light that has been withheld from him for so long. Therefore the human being must feel his own blindness, it must be a nuisance to him, he must be aware of the lack of being allowed to enjoy himself like sighted people, and he must therefore want to become sighted. Then the eye will also be opened to him, he will be allowed to receive light, for My light of love from eternity denies itself to no-one and finally to a person who desires it. But as long as people live in spiritual blindness, as long as they lack all knowledge about spiritual things, about spiritual correlations and about their own relationship with Me, their God and creator of eternity, then these people will not be aware of the fact that they are inadequately formed, that they are spiritually blind, instead, they will only consider their earthly abilities as important in order to successfully live their earthly life.... and they again only see earthly success and are satisfied when the world offers them what they desire. And since they themselves don't feel inadequately formed they also don't ask for what they lack.... for the light of realization.... and they remain blind in spirit. Thus the will has not yet become active, but without it the supply of light, of truth, is fruitless, for although they hear such through their fellow human beings they do not recognize it but only hear words and do not grasp their meaning. And the will again cannot be forcibly directed, it has to decide on its own. But through sermons they can nevertheless be made aware of their spiritual blindness, because it is sometimes possible that their hearts will open to such a sermon and then the will can be kindled to receive more light. For such people cannot be influenced in any other way than by conveying My word, and even this can still be fruitless but should nevertheless not be omitted, because the blind person should first experience that he is blind.... For what he has never known before he does not lack. And so the light shall be brought to every man, and the benefit of light shall be explained to him.... He should be told what other people can see with their healthy eyes and that it is also possible to give him the healthy eyes if he wants this himself.... Spiritual blindness is so serious because it has an effect in the kingdom of the beyond, for the human being enters that kingdom after his death in profound darkness if he has not succeeded in at least acquiring a glimmer of light on earth, in which he would then also know his way around the spiritual kingdom better. But the completely blind will hardly reach the light on the other side because they will then resist every spark of light which touches them; after all, they don't yet know the blessing of light, and the bliss of being able to move in spheres full of light will also remain denied to them until they enter a circle of light themselves and allow their eyes to be opened there, which, however, is much more difficult for them than on earth. For this reason the light shall already be brought close to all people on earth, and anyone who accepts it will do well, for then the darkness will have left him and he will never ever need to fear being devoured by it, for the light will then shine for him forever....

Geistige Blindheit....

Dem geistig Blinden kann kein Licht leuchten, es sei denn, er bittet, daß ihm die Augen erschlossen werden, um das Licht sehen zu können, das ihm erstrahlt. Also ist die Bitte darum Voraussetzung, die aus dem Willen hervorgeht, das Licht sehen zu dürfen, das ihm so lange vorenthalten war. Es muß daher der Mensch die eigene Blindheit empfinden, sie muß ihm lästig sein, er muß sich des Mangels bewußt sein, gleich sehenden Menschen sich erfreuen zu dürfen, und er muß es also wollen, daß er sehend werde. Dann wird ihm auch das Auge erschlossen werden, er wird Licht empfangen dürfen, denn Mein Liebelicht von Ewigkeit versagt sich niemandem und zuletzt einem Menschen, der es begehrt. Solange aber die Menschen in geistiger Blindheit dahergehen, solange ihnen jegliche Kenntnis mangelt um geistige Dinge, um geistige Zusammenhänge und um ihr eigenes Verhältnis zu Mir, ihrem Gott und Schöpfer von Ewigkeit, so lange also sind sich diese Menschen nicht bewußt, daß sie mangelhaft gestaltet sind, daß sie blind sind im Geist, sondern sie sehen ihre irdischen Fähigkeiten als allein wichtig an, um ihr Erdenleben mit Erfolg zurückzulegen.... und sie sehen wieder nur den irdischen Erfolg und sind zufrieden, wenn ihnen die Welt das bietet, was sie sich wünschen. Und da sie selbst sich nicht mangelhaft gestaltet fühlen, bitten sie auch nicht um das, was ihnen abgeht.... um das Licht der Erkenntnis.... und sie bleiben blind im Geist. Der Wille also ist noch nicht tätig geworden, ohne den aber das Zuführen des Lichtes, der Wahrheit, ergebnislos ist, denn wenngleich sie solche hören durch ihre Mitmenschen, erkennen sie sie nicht, sondern sie hören nur Worte und fassen deren Sinn nicht. Und der Wille kann wieder nicht zwangsweise gerichtet werden, er muß sich von selbst entscheiden. Aber durch Predigten können sie doch hingewiesen werden auf ihre geistige Blindheit, weil es doch zuweilen möglich ist, daß ihre Herzen sich öffnen einer solchen Predigt und dann der Wille entfacht werden kann, mehr Licht zu bekommen. Denn anders als durch Zuführen Meines Wortes kann auf solche Menschen nicht eingewirkt werden, und auch dieses noch kann ergebnislos sein, soll aber dennoch nicht unterlassen werden, weil erst einmal der Blinde erfahren soll, daß er blind ist.... Denn was er nie zuvor gekannt hat, das entbehrt er auch nicht. Und so soll das Licht an jeden Menschen herangetragen werden, und es soll ihm die Wohltat des Lichtes erklärt werden.... Ihm soll gesagt werden, was andere Menschen alles sehen können mit ihren gesunden Augen und daß auch die Möglichkeit besteht, ihm die gesunden Augen zu geben, wenn er selbst dies will.... Die geistige Blindheit ist darum so schwerwiegend, weil sie sich auswirkt im jenseitigen Reich, denn in tiefster Finsternis betritt der Mensch jenes Reich nach seinem Tode, wenn es ihm nicht gelungen ist, sich wenigstens einen Lichtschimmer auf Erden verschafft zu haben, in dem er sich dann auch besser auskennen würde im geistigen Reich. Doch völlig Blinde werden drüben schwerlich zum Licht gelangen, weil sie sich dann wehren gegen jeden Lichtfunken, der sie berührt; kennen sie doch noch nicht die Wohltat des Lichtes, und die Seligkeit, in lichtvollen Sphären sich bewegen zu können, wird ihnen auch so lange verwehrt bleiben, bis sie selbst in einen Lichtkreis eintreten und sich dort nun ihre Augen öffnen lassen, was ihnen jedoch sehr viel schwerer fällt als auf Erden. Darum soll auf Erden schon allen Menschen das Licht nahegebracht werden, und wer es annimmt, der tut wohl daran, denn ihn hat die Finsternis dann verlassen, und er wird nimmermehr zu fürchten brauchen, von ihr verschlungen zu werden, denn das Licht wird ihm dann leuchten ewiglich....
