God's word unusual resource....

An unusual hardship requires unusual help.... And that people's hardship is unusually great is beyond doubt, for it is not about earthly hardship which only affects a part of people but about spiritual hardship which is far worse because its consequences extend into eternity. Admittedly, only the earthly adversity will be obvious to people and they will not try to remedy it either, which would certainly be within their power.... For they have too little love for their fellow human beings, they don't want to help unselfishly, and this is also the great spiritual adversity, that people lack love. For without love they are in the power of God's adversary, without love they face a dreadful fate, without love they end up in the abyss. But people nevertheless don't believe and therefore do nothing to remedy the great spiritual adversity.... Therefore, if they are to be helped this has to be done in an unusual way, because there is not much time left until the end and otherwise there is no prospect that a change of their attitude will be aspired to of its own accord. And this unusual aid is the great gift of grace of the divine word which God Himself conveys to earth and which could certainly bring about a change if it were listened to and taken to heart. Admittedly, the latter is also dependent on the human being's free will, but even a person of good will would no longer take the path to God without an obvious grace as long as He appears to be far away from him.... which, however, is also the case in recent times due to people's unkindness. And the proclamation of the word in the hitherto customary way can hardly cause a person to establish a closer bond with Him, which, however, His direct address can still achieve. It is an unusual act of help because the spiritual need is unusually great but God's love still uses every means to control this need. What empty words without spirit and life can no longer achieve, a living word can still achieve: that the person thinks about it, goes into himself and changes.... This is the only thing God wants to achieve through the transmission of His word, that the ear and heart are touched, that the word does not fall on the ears, because a dead proclamation of the word is completely without power and because power is necessary in order to bring about a change.... The water flows slowly and sluggishly, it already carries a lot of impurities with it, it has neither a cleansing nor a revitalising effect, and where no attempt is made to free it from impurities or additives it will soon be unable to fulfil its actual purpose.... But the fresh, clear water which flows from the spring is different and has an exceedingly beneficial, invigorating and revitalizing effect.... And therefore God opens the spring and lets His word flow to people in all purity, so that those who had already fallen prey to death will come to life, if only they withdraw their strength from the precious gift of life.... if they willingly listen to the living word of God and live according to it.... Through this unusual remedy spiritual hardship can truly be remedied, and countless souls could still be saved before the end.... But no compulsion will be done to them either.... God gives delicacies, and He gives abundantly.... But anyone who is satisfied with dead proclamations of the word cannot eternally recover or awaken to life. He is in deep spiritual distress, for he lacks one thing: the love which would also let him realize that his life is an empty run.... He first has to let himself be addressed by God Himself, Who will present love to him as the first and most important thing he has to practice.... And if he allows himself to be addressed by God Himself, then he will be touched by God's love and feel its strength.... And then he, too, will change, his will will turn towards God, and he will draw from the well of life, he will recover and grow stronger.... he will come to life and will no longer lose life....

하나님의 말씀은 특별한 도구이다.

특별하게 응급한 상황이 특별한 도움이 필요하게 한다. 사람들의 위험이 특별하게 큰 일은 의심할 여지가 없는 일이다. 그러나 이 위험은 단지 사람들 일부에게 영향을 미치는 세상적인 위험이 아니라 영적인 위험이고 훨씬 더 심각한 위험이다. 왜냐면 이런 위험의 결과가 영원에까지 영향을 미치기 때문이다. 사람들은 단지 세상의 위험을 보게 될 것이고 이런 위험은 실제 그들의 권세 아래 있게 될 것이다. 그러나 그들은 이를 해결하려고 하지 않을 것이다. 왜냐면 그들의 이웃을 향한 사랑이 너무 적기 때문이다. 그들은 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 도움을 주기를 원하지 않고 사람들에게 사랑이 부족한 일이 또한 큰 영적인 위험이다. 왜냐면 사랑 없는 그들은 하나님의 대적자의 권세 아래 있기 때문이고 사랑 없는 그들은 끔찍한 운명을 향해 가고 있고 사랑이 없이는 깊은 곳으로 떨어지기 때문이다.

그럴지라도 아직 사람들은 믿지 않고 그러므로 큰 영적인 어려움을 해결하기 위해 아무 일도 하지 않는다. 이제 그들을 도우려면, 이 일은 특별한 방법으로 이뤄져야만 한다. 왜냐면 종말까지 남은 시간이 많지 않고 특별한 방법으로 돕지 않으면, 그들이 생각의 변화시키기 위해 스스로 추구할 가능성이 없기 때문이다. 이런 특별하게 도움을 주는 수단은 큰 은혜의 선물인 하나님의 말씀이다. 사람이 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 심장으로 영접하면, 실제 변화될 수 있다.

사람이 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 심장으로 영접하는 일은 인간의 자유의지에 달려 있다. 선한 의지를 가진 사람조차도 하나님이 그로부터 멀리 있는 것처럼 여기는 동안에는 하나님이 분명한 은혜가 없이는 그가 더 이상 하나님께 가는 길을 가지 않을 것이다. 그러나 마지막 때에 사람들에게 사랑이 없기 때문에 이런 일이 일어나게 될 것이고 지금까지 일반적인 방법으로 말씀을 설교하는 일이 사람이 하나님께 더 가까워지게 하는 일이 어렵게 될 것이다. 그러나 하나님이 직접 들려주는 음성이 사람이 하나님께 더 가까워지게 하는 일을 아직 이룰 수 있다. 이런 역사는 영적 위험이 비정상적으로 크기 때문에 특별하게 도움을 주는 역사이다. 하나님의 사랑은 아직 영적인 위험을 해결하기 위해 모든 수단을 사용한다.

영이 없고 생명이 없는 공허한 말이 더 이상 성취할 수 없는 사람이 말씀에 대해 생각하고 자신의 내면으로 들어가 자신을 변화시키는 일을 생명력 있는 말씀이 아직 이룰 수 있다. 하나님은 단지 자신의 말씀을 제공하는 일을 통해 귀와 심장에 도달하기를 원하고 말씀이 귀를 스쳐지나가는 일을 원하지 않는다. 왜냐면 생명이 없이 말씀을 선포하는 일은 전혀 힘이 없고 변화를 이루기 위해서는 힘이 필요하기 때문이다.

이미 많은 쓰레기가 포함 된 물은 느리고 더디게 흐르고 정화시키는 능력이나 생명을 주는 능력도 없다. 쓰레기나 첨가물을 정화시키려는 시도를 하지 않는 곳은 곧 물의 실제적인 목적을 성취시킬 수 없게 될 것이다. 그러나 원천에서 흘러나오는 맑고 깨끗한 물은 다르다. 이 물은 아주 유익하고 힘을 주고 생명을 주는 효과가 있다. 그러므로 하나님은 원천을 열어 주고 자신의 말씀을 모든 순수한 상태로 사람들에게 흘러가게 한다. 이로써 사람들이 단지 귀한 생명의 샘에서 힘을 얻고 하나님의 생명력 있는 말씀을 자원하여 듣고 말씀대로 살면, 이미 죽음에 빠진 사람들이 생명을 얻게 한다. 이런 특별한 도움을 통해 진실로 영적인 위험을 치료할 수 있고 종말 전의 마지막 때에 무수히 많은 혼을 구원할 수 있다. 그러나 사람들은 전혀 강요받지 않는다.

하나님은 귀한 것을 주고 풍성하게 준다. 그러나 죽은 말씀의 선포에 만족하는 사람은 절대로 건강하게 되거나 생명으로 깨어날 수 없고 깊은 영적 위험에 빠진다. 왜냐면 그에게 한 가지 사랑이 부족하기 때문이다. 사랑이 또한 그가 그의 삶이 헛된 삶이라는 것을 깨닫게 한다. 그는 먼저 하나님 자신이 자신에게 말하게 해야만 한다. 하나님은 그가 실천해야만 하는 가장 중요한 첫 번째 것이요 가장 중요한 것이 사랑임을 그에게 알려줄 것이다. 그가 스스로 하나님이 자신에게 말하게 하면, 그는 하나님의 사랑에 감동을 받고 하나님의 사랑의 힘을 느끼게 될 것이다. 그러면 그는 변화가 될 것이고 그의 의지는 하나님께 향할 것이다. 그는 생명의 샘에서 기를 것이고 건강하게 되고 강하게 될 것이다. 그는 생명을 얻고 이제 더 이상 생명을 잃지 않게 될 것이다.
