Effect of distress on faith....

In times of great earthly adversity some people find their way back to their God and creator as soon as all earthly hope in them is destroyed and they no longer see any other way out than to call upon God for help. They have not yet completely lost their faith in God, only it has been suppressed by the world, by the influences of their fellow human beings and their own indifference.... This is why the thoughts always resurface when a person is in earthly adversity.... Faith can now become great strength through the often miraculous help through which God now expresses Himself.... And then the earthly adversity will not have been pointless, it will have helped the human being to progress spiritually, and his path can now lead ever further.... he will no longer lose faith, and the soul is saved for eternity.... But how many people sink back into their worldly life and also immediately give up faith when they see themselves in carefree living conditions again, when the earthly adversity is over.... Even if they have obviously experienced divine help they are more inclined to regard such as a coincidence, and they turn away from God again to now sink deeper than ever into their faithlessness.... to serve the world more than ever and thus the one who is lord of the earthly world.... Trying to win these people back through renewed adversity is mostly hopeless, for now they are increasingly helped by God's adversary, because they themselves have devoted themselves to him through their obvious rejection of God.... And they will always become more addicted to the world because they will always be considered more worldly by it. These people will certainly be approached by God in many ways, thus they would be able to find their way back to Him if they seriously took themselves to court.... Yet it becomes increasingly more difficult for these people because their desire for matter becomes ever more intense and the great earthly hardship before remains a spectre for them which they believe they can escape through increased earthly striving.... And they do not consider that everything is transient, that everything can be taken away from them at any time if it is in the will of the one Who created everything.... Their faith in this God and creator has probably been lost, yet deep in their hearts there is always the inexplicable fear of renewed strokes of fate.... So man also knows that there is a power that is stronger than he is and that he is at the mercy of this power.... He can believe in it, but he does not want to burden himself with this belief and therefore intellectually rejects something which his innermost feelings must accept.... He does not want to believe and is therefore far more responsible for his actions.... And God's adversary uses this very unwillingness and rewards him with earthly goods.... But every person can find his way back to God at any time.... He will be helped in every way, but it is always up to him how he decides....

L'effet de la misère sur la foi

En temps de grande misère terrestre quelques hommes trouvent la voie du retour à leur Dieu et Créateur dès que tout espoir terrestre est anéanti en eux, dès qu’ils ne voient plus aucune autre porte de sortie que d'invoquer Dieu pour de l'Aide. Ceux-ci n'ont pas encore entièrement perdu leur foi en Dieu, elle a seulement été repoussée par le monde, par l’influence du prochain et par sa propre indifférence. Donc la pensée vers Dieu se lève toujours de nouveau lorsque l'homme se trouve dans la misère terrestre. La foi peut maintenant devenir une grande force à travers l'Aide souvent merveilleuse à travers laquelle Dieu se manifeste maintenant. Et alors la misère terrestre n'a pas été sans but, elle a aidé l'homme au progrès spirituel et dorénavant il peut arriver en haut, il ne perdra plus la foi et l'âme sera sauvée pour l'Éternité. Mais beaucoup d'hommes retombent dans leur vie mondaine et renoncent vite à la foi lorsqu’ils se voient de nouveau en conditions de vie sans préoccupation, lorsque la misère terrestre est passée. Même lorsqu’ils ont expérimenté une Aide divine évidente, ils sont plutôt enclins à la considérer comme un hasard et ils s'éloignent à nouveau de Dieu pour se précipiter maintenant plus profondément qu’auparavant dans leur absence de foi, pour servir plus que jamais le monde et avec cela celui qui est le seigneur du monde terrestre. Chercher à reconquérir ces hommes à travers une misère renouvelée est presque toujours sans espoir, parce que maintenant l’adversaire de Dieu les aide dans une mesure renforcée, parce qu'eux-mêmes se sont donnés à lui en refusant ouvertement Dieu. Et ils tomberont toujours davantage dans le monde, parce qu'ils sont toujours plus pourvus par lui en mode mondain. Ces hommes sont certes alors interpelés par Dieu de multiples manières, donc ils pourraient Le retrouver s'ils entraient sérieusement en autocritique avec eux-mêmes. Mais pour ces hommes cela devient toujours plus difficile, parce que le désir pour la matière devient toujours plus véhément et la grande misère terrestre reste pour eux un fantôme qui les effraye, auquel ils croient pouvoir échapper à travers une tendance terrestre accrue. Et ils ne pensent pas que tout est périssable, qu'à eux tout peut être enlevé à tout instant, si cela est dans la Volonté de Dieu, Lequel a tout créé. Leur foi en ce Dieu et Créateur ira se perdre, mais profondément dans le cœur il y a de toute façon toujours la peur inexplicable de coups renouvelés du destin. Donc l'homme sait qu'il existe une Puissance, laquelle est plus forte que lui-même et qu'il est exposé à cette Puissance. Il peut croire dans Celle-ci, mais il ne veut pas se charger avec cette foi et donc il refuse intellectuellement quelque chose que cependant son sentiment intime doit accepter. Il ne veut pas croire et donc il est beaucoup plus responsable pour ce qu’il fait. Et justement cette mauvaise volonté est utilisée par l'adversaire de Dieu et il le récompense avec des biens terrestres. Mais chaque homme peut retrouver Dieu à chaque instant, il est aidé de toute façon, mais il lui est toujours laissé la liberté de comment il se décide.
