The infant Jesus....

A Saviour was born to you, the Redeemer, Who descended from above in order to set you free and bring salvation to you. You humans suffered utmost adversity for you were held captive by Satan, you were in his power and lacked the strength of will to free yourselves from him.... Your souls were ailing and a Physician had to come to heal you; a strong Saviour had to come to release you.... One had to come to bring you peace.... Salvation came to earth in a child Which was born in the midst of you, Which, in great poverty, came into the world in a stable. Yet His birth alone already testified to His divine origin, His extraordinary task and His great love for people, for an exceedingly bright light shone above the child, and this light entered into the hearts of those who were allowed to behold it and who recognised His divine mission. For the eternal Light Itself came to earth, It shone in the darkness which had cast a shadow across the whole earth.... The eternal Love had embodied Itself in the child Jesus, and the ray of love shone brightly in this significant night when the child Jesus came into the world. And the human race should have rejoiced and cheered about the eternal Love's act of compassion to descend to earth and to bring light into the darkness. But humanity kept its eyes closed so as not to have to see the light, apart from a few who knew of their Saviour and called for help, who cried for a Saviour and gladly opened themselves to the light from above....

And to these few the eternal Love came to help, and it came to pass what seers and prophets had proclaimed a long time before.... The Messiah came into the world, the Bringer of light.... the Son of God came down to earth, He wanted to redeem the world from sin because he took pity upon humanity which, bowed down with sorrow, almost broke down under the burden of sin and was unable to defend itself against the constraints placed on it by God's adversary. These constraints caused humanity to stray increasingly more towards the abyss, as it obeyed every command by the enemy of souls because it was too weak to resist.... which thereby only increased its burden of sin from which it would never be able to release itself.... The Son of God descended to earth.... A most elevated being of light from God, Which knew of the fallen beings' hardship, offered Itself to carry the infinitely great sin on behalf of humanity and to redeem it through a self-sacrifice on earth as a human being, through suffering an extremely painful death on the cross.... This being of light took abode in the child Jesus in order to accomplish Its mission to redeem the human race from sin and its consequences.... And the brightest light shone forth when the child was born, a light which called all those of good will, who waited for their Messiah and who beseechingly prayed to God in their distress. It was an act of grace of inconceivable significance, for the whole of the universe participated in it.... Heaven and Earth touched each other at the moment of Jesus birth.... the bridge was established from one kingdom to the other.... war was declared on God's adversary by the man Jesus, Who indeed remained victorious. For He fought for and with God, Who had sent Him to earth and taken abode in Him, Who permeated Him completely.... thus God manifested Himself because He, being the eternal Love, was able to take complete possession of a human being Who had unfolded the love within Himself to utmost perfection.... Who had shaped Himself into a vessel for the divine spirit, into the shell of the eternal Deity.... He could justifiably say 'The Father and I are One'. He brought people redemption, He gave them light, He brought Salvation for their souls, for through His crucifixion he became victorious over the one who wanted to keep the souls in the abyss and from whom people were unable to release themselves on their own.... He became their Redeemer, their Saviour from sin and death....

아기 예수.

너희 사람들의 구세주인 구원자가 태어났다. 그는 너희를 구원하고, 너희에게 영원한 축복을 주기 위해 높은 곳에서 내려왔다. 너희 사람들은 가장 큰 위험 가운데 있었다. 왜냐면 너희가 사탄에게 묶여 있었고, 너희는 사탄의 권세 아래 있었고, 너희 자신을 사탄의 권세로부터 해방시킬 의지의 힘이 없었다. 너희 혼은 병이 들었고, 너희를 치료하는 의사가 너희에게 다가가야만 했고, 강력한 구원자가 너희를 자유롭게 하기 위해 임해야만 했다. 너희에게 평화를 전해줄 한 분이 와야만 했다.

가장 큰 빈곤 가운데 마구간에서 세상으로 임한, 너희 사람들 가운데 태어난 아이 안에서 구원이 이 땅으로 임했다. 그러나 그의 출생만으로도 이미 그의 기원이 신적이고, 그의 특별한 사명과 사람들을 향한 그의 큰 사랑을 증명했다. 왜냐면 아주 밝은 빛이 아기를 비추었고, 아기를 볼 수 있고, 아기를 하나님이 보낸 것으로 깨달은 사람들의 심장 안으로 이 빛이 임했고, 영원한 빛 자신이 이 땅에 임했고, 온 땅을 덮고 있는 어두움 속에 빛을 비췄기 때문이다. 영원한 사랑 자신이 아기 예수 안에서 육신을 입었고, 영원한 사랑의 빛이 아기 예수가 세상에서 태어나게 한 중요한 의미를 가진 밤을 밝게 비추었다. 인류는 이 땅으로 임하고, 어두움 속으로 빛을 가져온 영원한 사랑의 긍휼의 역사를 기뻐하고 환호해야만 했다.

그러나 소수를 제외한 인류는 빛을 볼 필요가 없도록 눈을 감았다. 소수이 사람들이 구세주를 알았고, 도움을 구했고, 구세주를 보내주기를 구했고, 위로부터 온 빛에 기쁨으로 자신을 열었고, (1953년 12월 25일) 영원한 사랑이 그런 사람들에게 도움을 주기 위해 임했고, 오래 전에 선견자와 선지자들을 통해 선포한 일이 성취되었다. 빛을 주는 메시아가 임했고, 하나님의 아들이 세상을 죄로부터 구원하기 위해 이 땅에 임했다. 왜냐면 하나님이 죄의 짐으로 짓눌려 하나님의 대적자의 속박에 맞서 자신을 방어할 수 없었고, 깊은 곳으로 항상 더 많이 빠져들어갔고, 인류가 저항하기에는 너무 연약했기 때문에 혼의 원수가 요구하는 모든 일을 행했고, 이로써 인류의 죄짐이 단지 더 커졌지만 그러나 절대로 이 조짐으로부터 자유롭게 될 수 없었던 인류를 긍휼히 여겼기 때문이다.

하나님의 아들이 이 땅에 임했다. 타락한 존재들의 고통을 아는 하나님으로부터 온 최고로 높은 빛의 존재가 인간으로서 인류의 끝없이 큰 죄짐을 짊어지고 극심한 십자가의 고통과 죽음을 당하는 이 땅의 희생을 통해 죄짐을 해결하기 위해 자신을 드렸다. 이 빛의 존재가 죄와 죄의 결과로부터 인류를 구원하는 자신의 사명을 완수하기 위해 아기 예수 안에 거하게 되었다. 아기가 태어났을 때 가장 밝은 빛이 빛났고, 이 빛이 선한 의지를 가졌고, 메시아를 기다렸고, 그들의 어려움 속에서 하나님께 긴밀하게 기도한 모든 사람을 불렀다.

이 역사는 상상할 수 없는 의미를 가진 은혜의 역사였고, 온 우주가 이 역사에 참여했다. 예수의 탄생의 순간에 하늘과 땅이 연결되었고, 한 나라에서 다른 나라로 연결되는 다리가 세워졌고, 인간 예수는 하나님의 대적자에게 싸움을 선언했고, 이 싸움에서 승리했다. 왜냐면 인간 예수가 하나님을 위해 하나님과 함께 싸웠기 때문이다. 하나님이 그를 이 땅으로 보냈고, 그 안에 거했고, 그를 자신으로 완전히 채웠다. 즉 하나님이 자신을 나타냈다. 왜냐면 하나님이 영원한 사랑으로서 그 안의 사랑을 가장 높게 확장시켰고, 자신을 하나님의 영의 겉 형체로 형성했고, 자신을 영원한 하나님의 그릇으로 형성한 사람을 소유할 수 있었기 때문이다. 그는 "아버지와 나는 하나이다. " 라고 올바르게 말할 수 있게 되었다. 그는 사람들에게 구원을 주었고, 빛을 주었고, 그들의 혼을 구원했다. 왜냐면 그가 자신의 십자가의 죽음을 통해 대적자를 패배시켰기 때문이다. 대적자는 혼을 깊은 곳에 붙잡아 두기를 원했고, 사람들이 혼자서는 대적자로부터 자신을 자유롭게 할 수 없었고, 그는 사람들의 구세주가 되었고, 죄와 죽음에서 구원하는 구원자가 되었다.
