Spurning the power of God.... (His word)....

God's strength must not be spurned if the human being wants to reach his aim on earth, which is the purpose of embodiment, the maturing of his soul. It is indeed a free decision of will to tackle this work, the human being himself must strive for perfection, yet the most important thing is the supply of strength from God in order to be able to turn the will into action. For even the best will is incapable of doing anything on its own, since the being is still imperfect, thus without strength, whereas in the state of perfection the will is already sufficient to be able to be creatively active. But the power is with God.... The state of imperfection is remoteness from God, i.e. lack of strength.... God, however, does not deny His strength to any being which desires it, because the desire already expresses the will to come closer to God again.... But without the application of strength the human being is completely incapable of taking a step forward, and then his will to approach God is also absent. This is why a spurning of strength from God is also a sign of resistance which the human being has not yet relinquished, which is why every person who rejects the word of God, God's direct transmission of strength, thereby admits that he still remains in resistance to God and does not desire to receive strength from Him. And such a person cannot progress in his development, his soul cannot mature, it remains at the stage of the beginning of its embodiment.... In His word God Himself comes close to people and imparts His strength to them, and then it is easy to reduce the distance from God, for the distance is bridged by God's love, and a flow of strength flows into the human being's heart who accepts His word into himself and lives accordingly, who thus now puts his will into action with the help of the strength from God which now makes the striving possible for him in the first place. But to reject strength from God means to once again offend against God's love, to reject a gift of grace which the human being does not have to demand but which is offered to him undeservedly through God's great love, which can change his state of misery into a blissful state in a short time, which can lift him up from the depths of the earth.... And understandably, such a rejection of a gift of grace will result in the human being being deprived of grace for a long time, that he will become increasingly distant from God, that his lack of strength will have an ever increasing effect and that he will fall prey to God's adversary without resistance, from whose power only God's strength can deliver him.... God wants to be called upon for strength, for help.... But He also comes to those who do not call upon Him, but He does not force Himself upon those who reject Him. Yet their state is hopeless, for no human being can free himself from satan’s power by his own strength, and no human being will ever possess strength unless he accepts it from God Himself, the original source of strength from eternity....

하나님의 힘을 거부하는 일.

이 땅의 사람이 자신의 목표요, 육신을 입은 목적인 자신의 혼을 성장시키는 일을 이루기 원하면, 그는 하나님의 능력을 거부해서는 안된다. 혼을 성장시키는 일을 시작하는 일은 진실로 자유롭게 결정해야 하는 일이고, 사람이 스스로 온전하게 되기 위해 추구해야만 한다. 그러나 가장 중요한 것은 그의 의지가 행동으로 옮겨지게 할 수 있는 하나님으로부터 주어지는 힘이다. 왜냐면 가장 좋은 의지도 자기 자신만으로는 어떤 일도 할 수 없기 때문이고, 존재가 아직 온전하지 못하고, 힘이 없기 때문이다. 반면에 온전한 존재는 창조적으로 일할 수 있기 위해 의지만 가지면 충분하다. 그러나 힘은 하나님께 있고, 온전하지 못한 상태는 하나님과 멀어진 상태이고, 힘이 부족한 상태이다.

하나님은 당신의 힘을 요구하는 사람에게 거절하지 않는다. 왜냐면 요구를 통해 이미 하나님께 다시 가까이 가려는 그의 의지를 나타내기 때문이다. 그에게 힘이 주어지지 않으면, 사람은 전적으로 무능하고, 한 걸음도 성장할 수 없다. 그러면 하나님께 가까이 가려는 의지도 존재하지 않게 된다. 그러므로 하나님의 힘을 거부하는 일은 사람이 아직 자신을 포기하지 않고 저항한다는 증거이다. 그러므로 하나님의 말씀과 하나님으로부터 직접 힘이 전해지는 역사를 거절하는 모든 사람 자신이 아직 하나님께 대항하고 있고, 자신이 하나님부터 힘을 받기를 원하지 않는 다는 것을 인정하는 것이다. 이런 사람은 자신의 성장을 이룰 수 없고, 그의 혼은 성장할 수 없고, 그의 혼은 육신을 입을 당시 초기의 수준에 머문다.

하나님 자신이 말씀 안에서 사람들에게 가까이 다가가고, 그들에게 그의 힘을 제공한다. 그러면 하나님과의 거리를 줄이는 일이 쉽다. 왜냐면 하나님의 사랑을 통해 벌어진 간격이 연결되고, 하나님의 말씀을 자신 안에 영접하고, 말씀대로 살고, 즉 그가 추구하는 일을 이제 비로소 가능하게 하는 하나님의 힘의 도움으로, 자신의 의지가 행동으로 옮겨지기 때문이다. 그러나 하나님의 힘을 거절하는 일은 새롭게 하나님의 사랑에 대적하여 죄를 짓는 일이고, 은혜의 선물을 거절하는 일이다. 이런 은혜의 선물은 사람들이 요청할 수 없고, 단지 하나님의 큰 사랑으로 자격이 없는데도 그에게 주어지고, 자신을 깊은 곳으로부터 끌어올릴 수 있고, 짧은 시간 안에 자신의 처량한 상태에서 복된 상태로 바꿔 줄 수 있다.

이러한 은혜의 선물을 거절하는 일은, 사람에게 오랫동안 은혜가 주어지지 않게 만들기 때문에 그가 항상 더욱 더 하나님으로부터 멀어지게 되고, 그의 무능력의 영향력이 더욱 커져, 저항하지 않고 하나님의 대적자에게 빠져들어가는 결과가 나타나는 일은 이해할 만한 일이다. 단지 하나님의 힘으로 하나님의 대적자의 권세로부터 구원을 받을 수 있다. 하나님은 힘과 도움을 요청받기를 원한다. 그러나 하나님은 자신을 부르지 않는 사람들에게도 다가가지만 그러나 하나님은 거절하는 사람들에게 강요하지 않는다. 그러나 그들의 상태는 희망이 없다. 왜냐면 어떤 사람도 자기 자신의 힘으로 사탄의 권세로부터 자신을 자유롭게 할 수 없기 때문이다. 어떤 사람도 영원으로부터 능력의 근원인 하나님 자신으로부터 힘을 받지 않으면, 절대로 힘을 소유할 수 없기 때문이다.
