Love of the world.... Serious admonition....

People don't want to relinquish the world and so they try to make compromises which I, however, cannot accept. No-one can serve two masters.... especially not when both are entirely opposite in their nature. And thus, the world with all its pleasures and attractions is completely opposite to what you humans should strive for.... the spiritual kingdom, whose Lord I Am and will remain. You certainly live in the midst of the world but only in order to prove yourselves, in order to learn to overcome it, and not in order to savour it to the full and to satisfy your every corporeal wish, for then you will leave your soul dissatisfied to the same extent. You count on a natural decline of your cravings and wishes as you get older and think that you will still find enough time to consider your soul.... But do you know how long you will live on earth? Do you know whether you will experience old age according to your will? Have you any idea how poor and wretched you will enter the kingdom of the beyond were you to be recalled suddenly? Consequently, it is unwise to defer what is most important in earthly life to an uncertain time and thus you should realise that worldly pleasure, an earthly satisfying life on this earth, cannot be right in My eyes, otherwise you would not have to take into account that every day could be your last one. Every person with only a little faith in Me and a continuation of life after death will feel uncomfortable if he thinks about his sudden death, because he knows that he does not live in accordance with My will, but instead he silences himself with the world and its pleasures. Only total unbelievers have no second thoughts or qualms of conscience of any kind by getting out of the world whatever they can.... They have long quelled their indwelling silent admonisher which still makes his voice heard in those who are not without faith. My Words are intended for the latter to bear in mind that the world will not give them anything of lasting value for eternity, that they cannot take anything which seems desirable to them on earth along into the spiritual kingdom. They should bear in mind that they ought to detach themselves from worldly things and that they can easily do this if they develop the love within themselves.... Then they will find nothing desirable anymore if it belongs to the one who is My adversary and therefore devoid of all love.... Love will give a person the right realisation regarding the value and worthlessness of things, love alone is the counteracting force to the world, for anyone in possession of love makes contact with the Eternal Love and This becomes the goal of his wishes and cravings, the world will grow pale and no longer exert an attraction, the soul will receive more attention than the body, the human being will learn to overcome the world and live a meaningful and appropriate life on earth and need not fear a sudden recall either, for the soul will have found the path which leads to its true home....

세상 사랑. 진심으로 하는 경고.

세상은 사람을 포기하려고 하지 않고 그러므로 세상은 내가 인정할 수 없는 타협을 하려고 한다. 어느 누구도 두 주인이 그들의 성품이 전적으로 반대가 된다면, 두주인을 섬길 수 없다. 이처럼 세상의 모든 즐거움과 자극이 있는 세상은 너희 사람들이 추구해야 하는 영의 나라와는 전적으로 반대이다. 영의 나라의 주인은 나이고, 나로 머물게 것이다. 너희는 실제 세상을 즐기고, 너희의 모든 육체적인 소원을 만족시키는 일이 아니라, 너희 자신을 증명하고 세상을 극복하는 일을 배우기 위해 세상 한 가운데 있고, 너희가 그렇게 사는 만큼 너희 혼을 만족시키지 못하게 된다.

너희는 나이가 들어 감에 따라 너희 안에 정욕이나 소원이 자연적으로 감소되기를 기대하고, 아직 혼을 생각할 충분한 시간이 있다고 믿는다. 그러나 너희가 얼마 동안 이 땅에서 살지 아느냐? 너희가 원하는 나이에 도달할 수 있느냐? 너희가 갑자기 부름을 받는다면, 얼마나 가난하고, 비참하게 저 세상으로 가게 된다는 것을 아느냐? 그러므로 너희가 인생에서 가장 중요한 일을 훗날 어느 때로 미루는 일은 현명한 처사가 아니다. 결과적으로 너희는 세상 즐거움과 세상적인 만족을 추구하는 삶이 내 눈앞에 올바른 일이 될 수 없음을 깨달아야만 한다. 그렇지 않으면 너희는 매일이 너희의 마지막 날이 될 수 있음을 고려할 필요가 없다.

단지 나를 믿는 작은 믿음과 죽음 후에도 계속 산다는 작은 믿음이라도 가진 모든 사람이 갑작스러운 죽음을 보면, 불편한 감정에 빠질 것이다. 왜냐면 그가 내 뜻대로 살지 않았고, 세상과 세상의 즐거움으로 자신을 마취시킨 것을 알기 때문이다. 전적으로 믿음이 없는 사람이 세상으로부터 자신이 단지 얻을 수 있는 것을 얻으려 한다면, 이런 사람은 단지 아무런 생각이 없거나 또는 양심의 가책이 없고, 그는 이미 오래전에 믿음이 없는 사람에게 항상 소리를 내는 자신 안의 조용한 경고자를 마취시켰다. „이 땅에서는 갈망의 대상으로 보이지만 영원히 지속되지 않고, 영의 나라로 가지고 갈수 없는 것을 세상이 제공한다는 것을 생각하고, 항상 갑작스럽게 부름 받는 날을 생각하라“ 는 내 말씀이 그들에게 해당된다.

이런 사람들은 자신을 세상으로부터 자유롭게 해야 함을 생각해야 하고, 자신 안의 사랑을 발전시키면, 쉽게 세상으로부터 자유로운 상태에 도달할 수 있음을 알아야 한다. 그러면 내 대적자이고 그러므로 사랑이 전혀 없는 자에게 속한 세상이 그들에게 더 이상 갈망의 대상이 아니다. 사랑이 또한 그가 모든 것이 가치가 있는지 가치가 없는 지 올바르게 깨닫게 하고, 사랑이 유일하게 세상에 대한 대항마이다. 왜냐면 사람에게 사랑이 있다면, 영원한 사랑과 연결을 이루기 때문이다. 그러면 영원한 사랑이 그에게 그가 소원하고, 갈망하는 목표가 되고, 세상이 퇴색되고 더 이상 그를 자극하지 못하게 되고, 이제 육체보다 혼이 더 많은 돌봄을 받게 된다. 사람은 세상을 극복하는 법을 배우고, 그의 이 땅의 삶을 의미 있게 목적대로 살고, 갑작스러운 죽음을 두려워하지 않게 된다. 왜냐면 혼이 자신의 영원한 본향으로 인도하는 길을 찾았기 때문이다.
