Love of the world.... Serious admonition....

People don't want to relinquish the world and so they try to make compromises which I, however, cannot accept. No-one can serve two masters.... especially not when both are entirely opposite in their nature. And thus, the world with all its pleasures and attractions is completely opposite to what you humans should strive for.... the spiritual kingdom, whose Lord I Am and will remain. You certainly live in the midst of the world but only in order to prove yourselves, in order to learn to overcome it, and not in order to savour it to the full and to satisfy your every corporeal wish, for then you will leave your soul dissatisfied to the same extent. You count on a natural decline of your cravings and wishes as you get older and think that you will still find enough time to consider your soul.... But do you know how long you will live on earth? Do you know whether you will experience old age according to your will? Have you any idea how poor and wretched you will enter the kingdom of the beyond were you to be recalled suddenly? Consequently, it is unwise to defer what is most important in earthly life to an uncertain time and thus you should realise that worldly pleasure, an earthly satisfying life on this earth, cannot be right in My eyes, otherwise you would not have to take into account that every day could be your last one. Every person with only a little faith in Me and a continuation of life after death will feel uncomfortable if he thinks about his sudden death, because he knows that he does not live in accordance with My will, but instead he silences himself with the world and its pleasures. Only total unbelievers have no second thoughts or qualms of conscience of any kind by getting out of the world whatever they can.... They have long quelled their indwelling silent admonisher which still makes his voice heard in those who are not without faith. My Words are intended for the latter to bear in mind that the world will not give them anything of lasting value for eternity, that they cannot take anything which seems desirable to them on earth along into the spiritual kingdom. They should bear in mind that they ought to detach themselves from worldly things and that they can easily do this if they develop the love within themselves.... Then they will find nothing desirable anymore if it belongs to the one who is My adversary and therefore devoid of all love.... Love will give a person the right realisation regarding the value and worthlessness of things, love alone is the counteracting force to the world, for anyone in possession of love makes contact with the Eternal Love and This becomes the goal of his wishes and cravings, the world will grow pale and no longer exert an attraction, the soul will receive more attention than the body, the human being will learn to overcome the world and live a meaningful and appropriate life on earth and need not fear a sudden recall either, for the soul will have found the path which leads to its true home....

L’amore per il mondo - Severo Ammonimento

Gli uomini non vogliono rinunciare al mondo e perciò cercano di fare dei compromessi che, però, non posso lasciar valere. Nessuno può servire due padroni, in particolare, quando ambedue sono totalmente contrari nel loro essere. E così il mondo con tutte le sue gioie e fascini è totalmente l’opposto di ciò a cui gli uomini devono tendere, al Regno spirituale, di cui il Signore Sono e lo Rimarrò. Vi trovate bensì in mezzo al mondo per affermarvi, per imparare a vincere il mondo, ma non per gustarlo fino in fondo in modo, che tutti i vostri desideri corporei trovino soddisfazione, perché nella stessa misura lasciate insoddisfatta l’anima. Contate su una naturale retrocessione delle vostre bramosie e desideri con l’età avanzata e credete di trovare poi ancora abbastanza tempo per pensare alla vostra anima. Ma sapete voi, se dimorate ancora per molto sulla Terra? Sapete, se sperimentate un’età secondo la vostra volontà? E sapete, quanto poveri e miseri entrate nel Regno dell’aldilà, quando venite richiamati all’improvviso? Di conseguenza è stolto, rimandare la cosa più importante nella vita terrena in un tempo a voi ancora incerto, e di conseguenza dovete anche riconoscere che il godimento del mondo, una vita terrena soddisfacente su questa Terra, non può essere giusta davanti ai Miei Occhi, altrimenti non avreste da tener presente che ogni giorno possa essere l’ultimo. Ogni uomo che ha soltanto una minima fede in Me e nella continuazione della vita dopo la morte, sarà preso da una spiacevole sensazione, quando si tiene davanti agli occhi una morte improvvisa, perché sà che non vive secondo la Mia Volontà, ma intontisce sé stesso con il mondo e le sue gioie. Solo degli uomini totalmente miscredenti non hanno nessuna preoccupazione o scrupoli di coscienza, quando ricavano dal mondo qualunque cosa possono. Hanno già da tempo fatto tacere il silenzioso ammonitore in sé, che però fa sempre ancora sentire la sua voce a coloro che non sono senza fede. A costoro sono rivolte le Mie Parole, affinché debbano riflettere su una improvvisa richiamata, che il mondo non dà loro ciò che ha consistenza per l’Eternità, che non possono portarsi nel Regno spirituale nulla di ciò che a loro appare desiderabile sulla Terra. Devono pensare di staccarsi dal mondano e che lo possono anche con facilità, se sviluppano in sé l’amore. Allora non è più desiderabile per loro ciò che appartiene al Mio avversario e quindi è privo di qualsiasi amore. L’amore gli dà anche la giusta conoscenza sul valore e l’inutilità delle cose, l’amore soltanto è il contrappeso al mondo, perché chi ha l’amore, allaccia anche il collegamento con l’Eterno Amore e Questo diventa ora la meta dei suoi desideri e brame, il mondo impallidisce e non ha più alcun fascino, ora pensa di più all’anima che al corpo. L’uomo impara a vincere il mondo, allora vive secondo il senso e lo scopo della sua vita terrena e non ha nemmeno da temere una improvvisa richiamata, perché l’anima ha trovato la via che conduce nella sua vera Patria.
