Living water.... source - pure and clear....

The water gushes forth pure and clear from the spring, and it will also initially wash away everything impure in its course and therefore remain clear and pure as long as it is not wilfully polluted, because water has the property of purifying what does not escape its influence. But the course of the water is prescribed to flow as a stream, to refresh people, animals and plants, and it will always remain a refreshment according to God's will, as long as the stream flows in God's free nature, unclouded and constantly renewing itself through the inexhaustible spring.... But the brook can very easily be clouded by an influx of filth, and that the further it moves away from the source.... And polluted water is not healthy for humans and animals.

This example is intended to show you humans that the water of life, the word emanating from God, should also be drawn from the source where it possesses the greatest power of salvation and purification, that it can indeed still be passed on pure and clear and loses nothing of its invigorating and refreshing strength, but that attention must always be paid to the riverbed as to whether it is protected from contamination, and that it has no effect or only a poor effect if it has been polluted by impure influx, so that the water, which once flowed clear and pure from the source, carries impurities with it, substances which have mixed with the water and can no longer be removed, so that the water has become useless and can no longer claim to be the purest water of life for people. Pure and clear the divine word flows from the fountain of truth, pure and clear the children receive it who have climbed up to the source to draw the living water from the fountain of life, pure and clear these children will also pass it on, and all who are of good will will gratefully receive it and guard it against contamination. But the deeper it flows down, the more the divine word comes into contact with the people of the deep, the less it is protected, for the people of the deep do not recognize the precious gift and its value. They certainly sometimes try to make usable what has become useless through their own fault, but they can no longer expect the strength of a fresh spring water, no matter how many means they use.... They will never be able to speak of the living water, of the life-born, at which those who walk upwards can constantly refresh themselves, at the spring which God Himself has opened up for them. But whoever does not shy away from the path upwards, God Himself calls him and shows him the way to the source of eternal life.... Then he will never be without strength, even if his earthly path leads uphill; he will be able to cover it easily because he is constantly strengthened by God Himself through His word, which he receives directly from Him....

Lebendiges Wasser.... Quell - Rein und klar....

Aus dem Quell sprudelt das Wasser rein und klar hervor, und es wird auch anfangs in seinem Lauf alles Unreine wegspülen und so lange daher klar und rein bleiben, wie es nicht mutwillig verunreinigt wird, weil das Wasser die Eigenschaft hat, zu reinigen, was sich seiner Einwirkung nicht entzieht. Doch dem Wasser ist sein Lauf vorgeschrieben, als Bächlein dahinzufließen, Menschen, Tieren und Pflanzen zur Erquickung, und es wird auch immer eine Erquickung bleiben nach Gottes Willen, solange das Bächlein in Gottes freier Natur dahinfließt, ungetrübt und ständig sich erneuernd durch den unversiegbaren Quell.... Doch es kann der Bach sehr leicht getrübt werden durch Zufluß von Unrat, und das, je weiter er sich vom Quell entfernt.... Und ein verunreinigtes Wasser ist nicht gesund für Mensch und Tier.

Dieses Beispiel soll euch Menschen zeigen, daß auch das Lebenswasser, das von Gott ausgehende Wort, möglichst aus dem Quell geschöpft werden soll, wo es die größte Heils- und Reinigungskraft besitzt, daß es zwar auch noch rein und klar weitergeleitet werden kann und nichts an seiner belebenden und erquickenden Kraft verliert, daß aber immer auf das Flußbett geachtet werden muß, ob es geschützt wird vor Verunreinigung, und daß es keine oder nur noch schlechte Wirkung hat, so es durch unreinen Zufluß verbildet wurde, so das Wasser, das einstmals klar und rein vom Quell entströmt ist, Unrat mit sich führt, Stoffe, die sich mit dem Wasser vermengt haben und nun nicht mehr entfernt werden können, so daß das Wasser unbrauchbar geworden ist und keinen Anspruch mehr darauf erheben kann, reinstes Lebenswasser für die Menschen zu sein. Rein und klar entströmt das göttliche Wort dem Urquell der Wahrheit, rein und klar empfangen es die Kinder, die bis an den Quell sich verstiegen haben, um aus dem Lebensborn das lebendige Wasser zu schöpfen, rein und klar werden diese Kinder es auch weiterleiten, und alle, die guten Willens sind, werden es dankend in Empfang nehmen und vor Verunreinigung hüten. Doch je tiefer es hinabfließt, je mehr das göttliche Wort mit den Menschen aus der Tiefe in Berührung kommt, desto weniger wird es geschützt, denn die Menschen der Tiefe erkennen nicht die köstliche Gabe und ihren Wert. Sie suchen wohl zuweilen, brauchbar zu machen, was unbrauchbar wurde durch eigene Schuld, sie können aber nicht mehr die Kraft eines frischen Quellwassers erwarten, und wenn sie noch so viele Mittel anwenden.... Nimmermehr können sie von dem lebendigen Wasser sprechen, von dem Lebensborn, an dem sich ständig laben können, die zur Höhe wandern, an den Quell, den Gott Selbst ihnen erschlossen hat. Wer aber den Weg nicht scheut nach oben, den rufet Gott Selbst an und weiset ihm den Weg zum Quell des ewigen Lebens.... Dann wird er nimmer ohne Kraft sein, und ob sein Erdenweg auch bergan führt; er wird ihn leicht zurücklegen können, weil er ständig gestärkt wird von Gott Selbst durch Sein Wort, das er direkt von Ihm empfängt....
