Self-redemption.... only with Jesus Christ....

No-one will be able to redeem himself by his own efforts, and yet it depends solely on his will whether earthly life brings a person complete redemption from the bound state which was the result of his past apostasy from God. Redemption therefore means liberation from the power of satan, who separated the spiritual beings from God, who let them become sinful and unhappy. It was impossible for the once fallen spiritual beings to achieve this redemption on their own until Jesus Christ descended to earth to accomplish this work as a human being. He stood up as an adversary against satan and defeated him, i.e. His will was so strong that He resisted him, that He developed love as God's part in Himself to such an extent that God's adversary became powerless, because love is strength from God.

Every person is able to kindle this love, thus every person could also redeem himself if he wanted to.... But precisely this will is weakened by the past sin, the human being is inferior to God's adversary and his own strength is not enough to liberate himself from him, because the will to love is too small as an inheritance from the one who is devoid of all love. But through Jesus Christ the human being has been enabled to increase his will to love as soon as he avails himself of the grace of the act of salvation, as soon as he has Him as His support, Who died for him on the cross and paid the purchase price for all souls to God's adversary with His blood.... The latter can now no longer keep him bound if the human being wants to free himself. Thus the redemption of the human being on earth is certainly a work of free will which, however, only becomes active in the right direction when Jesus Christ is called upon for help as the redeemer of humanity. Then the human being redeems himself, which he cannot do without Jesus Christ, since satan still has him in his power, whose power was only broken by Jesus, thus the human being has to stand behind Him in order to get out of satan’s power. Self-redemption without Jesus Christ is impossible, but with Him it can very well be achieved, but the human being first has to muster the will to set himself free, otherwise even the divine redeemer cannot accomplish the work of redemption in him, even though He died for all people on the cross. Yet no human being is prevented from making use of the blessings acquired by Him, which is why the whole of humanity also participates in Christ's act of salvation, but this does not mean that people will be redeemed against their will....

(18. 4.1951) They can freely give themselves to Jesus Christ but also remain faithful to satan, who to a certain extent participated in the creation of the spiritual world because he drew the strength for it from God but used the strength according to his will and thus also placed willful resistance against God into the beings, from which Jesus Christ wants to redeem them through His greater than great love.... The act of salvation is accomplished for all, yet no being is forcibly redeemed but it must be of its own will to be redeemed through Jesus Christ's blood.... otherwise the act of salvation has been accomplished in vain for this being, because it still recognizes its lord in satan and has no desire to escape his power....

자신의 구원. 단지 예수 그리스도와 함께.

아무도 자신의 힘으로 자신을 구원할 수 없다. 그러나 이 땅의 삶이 전에 하나님을 떠나 타락한 결과로 묶임을 받은 상태에서 사람을 완전히 구원할 지 여부는 전적으로 그의 의지에 달려 있다. 그러므로 구원은 영의 존재가 사탄의 권세에서 해방되는 일을 의미한다. 사탄은 영적인 존재들을 하나님으로부터 분리시켜 죄악되게 만들고 불행하게 만들었다. 한때 타락한 영적인 존재는 예수 그리스도가 인간으로 구원역사를 완성하기 위해 이 땅에 임하기 전까지는 자신의 힘으로는 구원을 이룰 수 없었다. 예수 그리스도는 사탄에 대항해 물리쳤다. 즉 예수 그리스도의 의지가 아주 강했고, 사탄에게 저항했고, 자신 안의 하나님의 일부인 사랑을 성장시켜, 하나님의 대적자를 무기력하게 만들 정도가 되게 했다. 왜냐면 사랑이 하나님에게서 온 힘이기 때문이다.

모든 사람에게 사랑이 불타오르게 하는 일이 가능하다. 그러므로 원하는 모든 사람이 자신을 구원할 수 있다. 그러나 이전에 지은 죄로 인해 의지가 연약해졌고, 하나님의 대적자보다 열등하고, 단지 자신의 힘으로는 하나님의 대적자로부터 자유롭게 될 수 없다. 왜냐면 사랑이 전혀 없는 자의 유산으로 인해 사랑을 행하려는 의지가 너무 적기 때문이다. 그러나 인간이 예수 그리스도를 통해 구속사역의 은혜를 활용하고, 자신을 위해 십자가에서 죽었고, 그의 피로 모든 혼들을 위해 하나님의 대적자에게 구매 가격을 지불한 예수 그리스도를 그가 돕는 분으로 얻으면, 그는 사랑을 행하려는 의지를 높일 수 있는 위치에 서게 된다. 하나님의 대적자는 이제 사람이 자신을 해방시키기를 원하면, 그는 더 이상 사람을 묶어 둘 수 없다.

그러므로 이 땅에서 인간의 구원 역사는 자유의지의 역사이다. 그러나 인류의 구세주인 예수 그리스도에게 도움을 청할 때, 자유한 의지가 올바른 방향으로 일하게 되고, 그러면 사람은 자신을 자유롭게 한다. 그러나 자유롭게 되는 일은 예수 그리스도 없이는 할 수 없는 일이다. 왜냐면 사탄이 아직 그를 통제하고 있고, 그의 권세는 단지 예수에 의해 꺾이기 때문이다. 그러므로 사람이 사탄의 권세를 벗어나기 위해 예수 뒤에서 서야만 한다.

예수 그리스도가 없이 자신을 구원하는 일은 불가능하다. 그러나 예수 그리스도와 함께 하면 자신을 아주 잘 구원할 수 있다. 그러나 사람은 먼저 자신을 자유롭게 하려는 의지를 가져야만 한다. 그렇지 않으면 하나님의 구세주가 모든 사람을 위해 십자가에서 죽었을지라도, 그를 위해 구속역사를 진행할 수 없다. 그러나 어느 누구도 예수 그리스도 자신이 얻은 은혜를 활용하는 일에 방해를 받지 않는다. 그러므로 모든 인류가 그리스도의 구속역사를 활용할 수 있다. 그렇다고 인간이 자신의 의지와는 반대로 구원을 받는다는 의미가 아니다.

(1951년 4월 18일) 사람들은 자유의지로 예수 그리스도에게 자신을 드릴 수 있다. 그러나 사람들은 사탄에게 신실하게 머물 수 있다. 사탄은 어떤 의미에서 영적인 존재의 창조에 참여했다. 왜냐면 그가 창조하기 위해 하나님으로부터 힘을 받았기 때문이다. 그러나 사탄의 자신의 뜻대로 힘을 사용했고, 예수 그리스도가 자신의 아주 큰 사랑으로 구원하기를 원하는 존재 안에 하나님께 저항하려는 의지를 넣었다. 구속사역은 모든 존재를 위해 이뤄졌다. 그러나 어떤 존재도 강제로 구원받는 존재는 없고 존재 자신이 예수 그리스도의 피를 통해 구원받으려는 의지를 가져야만 한다. 그렇지 않다면 구속역사가 존재를 위해 헛되게 이뤄진 것이 된다. 왜냐면 존재가 아직 계속하여 사탄을 자신의 주님으로 깨닫고, 그의 권세를 벗어나려는 소원이 없기 때문이다.
