Body, soul and spirit.... Explanation....

People cannot understand the relationship between body, soul and spirit, which makes it difficult to explain to them the working of the spirit. The spirit is in opposition to the body, whereas the soul finds itself between both, thus it effectively has to side with either the body or the spirit but it can never pay attention to both. In the beginning of embodiment as a human being the soul is totally attached to the body. Hence it endeavours to fulfil the body's every desire, that is to say thought, feeling and will.... the human soul.... are wholly focussed on the body which, still consisting of matter itself, also seeks to unite with matter. Thus the person will long for material possessions because they epitomise the body's satisfaction. Therefore the spirit will not come into its own, the soul ignores the spirit's demands, the spirit cannot find acceptance because the body is still stronger and completely occupies the soul, thus dominating its thoughts and aspirations. However, the soul can also recognise the worthlessness of earthly things, it can consider its bodily wishes to be unimportant, it can demand more of earthly life than mere material goods.... then the spirit comes into its own.... Then it will express itself and be listened to by the soul. The soul will start to move in a different direction, it will no longer ask for the body but strive for spiritual values. It will accept being taught, that is, it shall willingly accept what the spirit conveys. Indeed, it will feel happy and pay consistently less attention to the body, or it will try to incline the body to do what the spirit demands of the soul.... to renounce earthly matter in exchange for spiritual knowledge. Now the spirit will be victorious over the body. Both spirit and body try to win the soul for themselves. And as soon as the spirit has succeeded in displacing the desires of the body, it is the stronger....

But what is meant by spirit?.... The spirit is the Divine in the human being; it is that which identifies the human being as God's living creation, the spirit is the bond which connects the human being to the eternal Father-Spirit. It is the human being's realisation that he will always be in contact with the Father of eternity. The human being only recognises himself as God's living creation when the spirit becomes active, until then he will merely be conscious of himself as a living being who wants whatever life has to offer. But once the human being recognises himself, the world will no longer mean anything to him. Then he will search for higher values, then his thoughts will be directed towards the spiritual kingdom, then he will try to make contact with the One Who gave him life, then his thoughts will be right and his wishes and actions in accordance with divine will. Then the spirit of God will be working within the person. The soul subsequently will give itself to the spirit to be guided and taught so that body, soul and spirit unite at last and seek unity with God, because the human being's spirit constantly strives towards the Father-Spirit to Whom he is, and remains, inseparably joined for eternity....

Corpo, alma e espírito.... Statement....

É incompreensível para as pessoas como corpo, alma e espírito se relacionam uns com os outros, e é por isso que o trabalho do espírito também é difícil de lhes explicar. O espírito está em oposição ao corpo, enquanto a alma está entre os dois, pelo que deve, por assim dizer, decidir por corpo ou espírito, mas nunca pode virar-se para ambos. No início da sua encarnação como ser humano, a alma é completamente dedicada ao corpo, por isso esforça-se por realizar todos os desejos do corpo, ou seja, pensar, sentir e querer.... a alma do ser humano.... está apenas sintonizado com o corpo, que, como ainda matéria em si, também procura unir-se à matéria. Assim, o homem terá um desejo de bens materiais, porque estes são o epítome do que agrada ao corpo. O espírito quase não é eficaz, a alma não ouve o que o espírito lhe exige; não se pode afirmar porque o corpo ainda tem a predominância e ocupa plenamente a alma, dominando assim os seus sentidos e as suas aspirações. Mas a alma também pode reconhecer a inutilidade das coisas terrenas, pode considerar o desejo do corpo como sem importância, pode exigir mais da vida terrena do que apenas bens materiais.... então o espírito vem para a sua.... Agora expressa-se à alma e é por ela escutada. A alma começa a tomar uma direcção diferente, já não exige o corpo mas esforça-se por bens espirituais, deixa-se ensinar, ou seja, aceita sem contradição o que o espírito lhe transmite, de facto, sente-se feliz e presta cada vez menos atenção ao seu corpo ou também procura torná-lo inclinado para o que o espírito exige da alma.... para desistir da matéria terrena em troca de bens espirituais. Agora o espírito triunfou sobre o corpo, tanto o espírito como o corpo procuram conquistar a alma para si próprios. E assim que o espírito consegue suprimir os desejos do corpo, é vitorioso.... Mas o que é que se entende por espírito?....

É o espírito o divino no ser humano, é o que marca o ser humano como criatura de Deus, é o espírito o laço que liga o ser humano com o Pai-Espírito desde a eternidade. É a consciência no homem de estar eternamente unido com o Pai desde a eternidade. Assim que entra em acção, o ser humano reconhece-se a si próprio como uma criatura de Deus, antes disso só tem consciência de si próprio como um ser vivo que quer ganhar tudo da vida que ela oferece. Mas quando o ser humano se reconhece a si próprio, então o mundo não é nada para ele, então ele procura bens superiores, então os seus pensamentos voltam-se para o reino espiritual, então ele procura entrar em contacto com Aquele que lhe deu a vida, então o seu pensamento está certo e a sua vontade e acção correspondem à vontade divina. Então o espírito de Deus trabalhará no ser humano, a Quem a alma se entrega agora para que Ele o guie e o instrua, para que corpo, alma e espírito se tornem agora um e procurem a união com Deus, porque o espírito no ser humano urge constantemente para o Pai-Espírito, com Quem ele é e permanecerá inseparavelmente unido por toda a eternidade...._>Ámen
