Responsibility for accepting misguided teachings....

It is very difficult for people to disassociate themselves from knowledge they were taught from an early age on and which they therefore do not want to renounce as misguided. They accepted this knowledge without thinking about it and since their education is not their fault they cannot, at first, be held responsible for accepting wrong doctrines. Nevertheless, as soon as they are able to use their intellect themselves it is their duty to scrutinise whether this spiritual knowledge is true. And they will have to be answerable as to whether they used their intellect as soon as they were able to do so. They should not accept all spiritual values as truth without scrutiny, neither can they justify themselves on the basis that they received this knowledge and are therefore innocent if they endorse it during their earthly life. They forget that they are responsible for their souls. They forget that I do not punish them but that they punish themselves, that is, that they remain in their state of imperfection, which can never result in their bliss.... but that I cannot release them from this state because their redemption requires their active free will which they, however, did not use correctly or they would have used their intellect to examine these spiritual doctrines. They remained passive. To a certain extent they allowed themselves to be imposed by something which they could just as well have rejected if they had wanted to.

The fact that people are answerable for their souls means that they have to recognise their guilt, that they have to realise that their wretched position was their own fault and justly identify and admit their own neglect, thus they cannot unburden themselves at the expense of those who instructed them wrongly. Indeed, these teachers, too, will one day have to be accountable according to their guilt, yet someone who accepts misguided teachings is not exonerated from guilt, since I have given the human being intellect which he should use for the salvation of his soul first. Anyone who seriously wants the truth will make an effort and find it too. And every instruction offered to the person has to be reviewed if it claims to be true. Thus the human being is duty bound to compare the spiritual knowledge imparted to him with those teachings, and the right will shall also yield the right results. Yet the state of his soul after his death depends on the person’s attitude towards the truth conveyed to him by My will.... full of light or darkness.... For only truth gives light to the soul, whereas error keeps the soul in darkness in which it had languished at the beginning of its earthly course of life as a human being but which it could have escaped had it used its will correctly....

Responsabilité pour l'acceptation de doctrines erronées

Les hommes ont des difficultés à se séparer d’un savoir qui leur a été enseigné depuis leur jeunesse, et auquel ils ne veulent pas renoncer. Sans réfléchir ils ont accepté ce savoir, et vu qu’ils ne sont pas fautifs de leur éducation, ils ne peuvent pas être tenus responsables de l'acceptation d’une fausse doctrine. Mais dès qu'ils peuvent employer eux-mêmes leur entendement, il est aussi de leur devoir, d'examiner ce bien spirituel quant à sa véracité. Et ils devront en répondre, s'ils n’ont pas laissé devenir actif leur entendement dès qu’ils étaient en mesure de le faire. Mais ils ne doivent pas retenir comme vrai chaque bien spirituel sans examen, ils ne peuvent pas se justifier avec le simple motif qu’ils ont reçu ce savoir, et donc qu’ils seraient innocents si pendant la vie terrestre ils l’ont approuvé. Ils oublient qu'ils sont responsable de leur âme, ils oublient que Je ne les punis pas, mais qu'ils se punissent tous seuls eux-mêmes, c'est-à-dire qu'ils restent dans un état d'imperfection, dans lequel ils ne peuvent jamais devenir bienheureux, mais Je ne peux pas les sauver de cette situation, parce que leur libre volonté doit devenir active pour ce salut, car ils n'ont pas employé bien leur volonté, autrement ils auraient employé leur entendement pour examiner ce bien spirituel. Ils sont restés inactifs, ils se sont laissé d’une certaine manière forcer à quelque chose qu’ils pouvaient refuser s'ils le voulaient. Si maintenant les hommes doivent répondre pour leurs âmes, cela signifie qu'ils doivent reconnaître leur faute, qu’ils doivent reconnaitre leur situation malheureuse comme étant leur propre faute et que cela est juste, et ils doivent admettre leurs manques, c'est-à-dire qu’ils ne peuvent pas se décharger au dépens de ceux qui les ont instruits faussement. Même ces enseignants devront un jour rendre compte selon leur faute, celui qui accepte une doctrine erronée n'est pas à déclarer innocent étant donné que J'ai donné à l'homme l'entendement qu’il doit utiliser pour le salut de son âme. Celui qui désire sérieusement la Vérité fera un effort, et il la trouvera. Et chaque enseignement offert à l'homme doit être examiné s'il prétend être la Vérité. Donc l'homme a aussi le devoir de confronter les biens spirituels transmis avec ces doctrines, et la juste volonté pour l'examen apportera aussi de justes résultats. Toutefois l'état de son âme après sa mort sera lumineux ou bien obscur selon comment l’homme se dispose envers la Vérité qui lui est apportée à travers Ma Volonté. Parce que seulement la Vérité donne la Lumière à l'âme, tandis que l'erreur fait rester l'âme dans l'obscurité, dans laquelle elle avait langui au début de sa carrière terrestre en tant qu’homme, mais à laquelle il aurait pu échapper très vite s'il avait bien employé sa volonté.
