Overcoming matter....

Never forget that you are indeed children of the world but that you have to overcome the world in order to become aspirants of My kingdom, which is not of this world, and that this is your actual purpose of earthly life. Do not regard your earthly life as an end in itself but know that it is only a means to an end and that the end is only to detach yourselves from matter, thus to completely overcome the world. You have indeed been placed into this world and surrounded by matter which you can also make use of, yet only ever to such an extent that you, as well as the matter you use, are of service, that its actual purpose is fulfilled and at the same time you are able to serve your fellow human beings again through the use of matter and are thus active in neighbourly love. You shall overcome matter, but matter will overcome you.... it will try to captivate your thoughts, your souls, for this is the world's seduction, that everything worldly appears to you so appealingly that your desire for it is aroused and this desire can suffocate every other feeling if it is not fought against. You stand in the middle of the world, behind you lies the material world, i.e., all spiritual bound in matter still surrounds you, yet in front of you lies the spiritual kingdom, and both kingdoms seek to exert their influence on you. But your senses are still imprisoned by the material world and therefore cannot find the entrance into the spiritual kingdom. Therefore you have to fight against your desire, you have to fight against all covetousness which aims at earthly-material things. And in order to be able to do so more easily, the worthlessness of everything that surrounds you is presented to you; I constantly let you recognize the impermanence and nothingness of material things so that you detach your hearts from them, so that you become free from matter and can enter the spiritual kingdom unhindered by directing your thoughts to where there is no more passing away, where everything you acquire in spiritual possessions is permanent and imperishable.

You are indeed in the midst of the world but at the same time you can also occupy the spiritual kingdom if your soul desires it and only grants the body the right to dwell in matter, yet completely untouched by it, because the soul, the human being's thinking, feeling and wanting dwells in spiritual spheres and has found the true kingdom there where it feels at ease and will never again exchange it for the material world. Overcome matter, imagine its worthlessness and turn away from the goods of this world.... Seek to gain My kingdom and you will possess far more than the earthly world can ever offer you. For even if you are children of the world, the spiritual kingdom is open to you and accepts everyone who leaves the world behind in his desires and only strives upwards, who wants to enter My kingdom because he has recognized that the earthly world is My adversary's share and whom I therefore help to reach the aim....

물질을 극복하는 일.

너희가 실제 세상의 자녀임을 절대 잊지 말라. 그러나 너희의 세상에서 사는 삶의 실제 목적대로 세상으로부터 오지 않은 나의 나라의 후보자가 되기 위해 세상을 극복해야만 한다는 것을 절대 잊지 말라. 그러면 너희의 세상의 삶 자체에 목적이 있는 것으로 여기지 말고, 세상의 삶은 단지 목적을 위한 수단임을 알라. 이 목적은 너희가 단지 물질로부터 자유롭게 되는 일이고, 그러므로 세상을 전적으로 극복하는 일임을 알라. 너희는 세상으로 보냄 받았고, 너희가 활용할 수 있는 물질로 둘러 쌓여 있다. 그러나 너희는 항상 단지 이 물질을 너희의 실제적인 목적을 성취하도록 너희를 섬기고 또한 너희가 사용하는 물질을 섬기는 정도로 활용해야 한다. 너희는 동시에 물질을 사용함으로 이웃 사람을 섬기는 위치에 있어야 하고 그러므로 이웃사랑을 행해야 한다.

너희는 물질을 극복해야 한다. 그러나 물질이 너희를 극복할 것이고, 너희의 생각과 너희의 혼을 묶으려고 시도할 것이다. 왜냐면 모든 세상적인 것이 너희 눈 앞에 아주 자극적으로 나타나는 일이 세상 유혹이고, 너희의 물질을 향한 갈망이 활발해지는 일이 세상 유혹이고, 이런 갈망에 대항하여 싸우지 않으면, 이 갈망에 의해 다른 모든 감정이 사라질 수 있게 되는 일이 세상의 유혹이기 때문이다. 너희는 세상 한 가운데 있고 너희 뒤에 물질 세계가 있다. 다시 말해 모든 물질 안에 묶임을 받은 영적인 존재들이 아직 너희 주변에 있다. 그러나 너희 앞에 영의 나라가 있다. 두 나라가 너희에게 영향을 미치려고 시도하고, 너희의 생각은 아직 물질적인 세상에 사로잡혀 있고 그러므로 영의 나라에 들어가지 문을 찾지 못한다.

그러므로 너희는 너희의 갈망에 대항하여 싸워야만 한다. 너희는 이 땅의 물질적인 것을 목표로 하는 모든 갈망에 대항하여 싸워야만 한다. 싸움을 쉽게 해주기 위해, 너희가 너희 주변에 있는 모든 것들이 가치가 없음을 알게 해줄 것이다. 나는 너희에게 물질의 유한성과 쓸모 없음을 항상 깨달을 수 있게 해, 너희 심장이 물질로부터 해방되고, 너희가 물질로부터 자유롭게 되어, 이제 소멸되는 것이 없는 영의 나라로, 너희가 영적인 재물로 얻는 모든 것이 지속적이고, 소멸되지 않는 영의 나라로 너희 생각이 향하게 하고 너희가 방해받지 않고 영의 나라에 들어갈 수 있게 한다.

너희는 실제 세상 한 가운데 있다. 그러나 너희 혼이 동시에 영의 나라를 갈망하고, 단지 물질에 영향을 받지 않고, 물질 안에서 거할 수 있을 정도 만의 권리를 육체에게 부여하면, 너희는 영의 나라를 차지할 수 있다. 왜냐면 혼이, 사람이 생각하는 것과 느끼는 것과 원하는 것이 영의 영역에 거하고, 영의 영역에서 자신을 행복하게 느끼고, 절대로 더 이상 물질의 세계와 바꾸지 않을 진정한 나라를 찾았기 때문이다.

물질을 극복하고, 물질의 가치 없음을 생각하라. 이 세상의 재물로부터 돌이키고 나의 나라를 구하려고 하라. 그러면 너희는 이 땅의 세상이 언제든지 너희에게 제공할 수 있는 것보다 더 많이 소유할 것이다. 왜냐면 너희가 세상의 자녀라 할지라도 영의 나라가 너희에게 열려 있고, 자신의 소원으로 세상을 뒤로 하고 단지 위를 추구하며, 이 땅의 세상이 나의 대적자에게 속한 것을 깨달았기 때문에 영의 나라가 나의 나라에 들어가기 원하는 모든 사람을 영접하기 때문이다. 나는 나의 나라에 들어가기 원하는 모든 사람이 목표에 도달하도록 도울 것이다.
