Value of divine revelations....

The value of spiritual revelations is only recognized by a few and cannot be proven to people in a school-like manner, but it will make all who awaken the spirit in themselves and are now worthy to receive divine revelations extremely happy. It can only be mentioned to fellow human beings, but the extraordinary grant of grace only becomes comprehensible to the spiritually awakened. And yet, fellow human beings should be made aware of it, because every divine revelation contains the strength within itself and can therefore still have an effect on the heart so that it feels the benefit and truth of what is brought to it as divine revelation and now desires it again and again, which can also lead to the awakening of the spirit. What comes from God will never be without beneficial effect.... only this effect presupposes a certain attitude towards God.... the human being must acknowledge God and be of a will turned towards Him.... Then he will also feel His word, His revelations, as a benefit, he will feel the strength which flows forth from the word of God, and he will seek to turn to this benefit more often, he will desire the word of God, gratefully receive it and be aware that he thereby draws closer to God Himself, because God is present to him as well as He knows the human being's desire and will to be directed towards Himself. A divine revelation is therefore always proof of God's presence, even if it is not passed on directly but through the mouth of man. The listener will always be able to feel the power of the word in the form of increased desire for the divine gift. Many people can place themselves in the blessing of divine revelations but most lack knowledge and therefore do not know about the extraordinary gift of grace, about the love which manifests itself through a revelation to those who want to know God. And without knowledge they don't strive for it, but without striving and desire no gift of grace can be given to them either, because then it would remain completely unnoticed. The fact that God reveals Himself proves the creator's intimate relationship from eternity with His living creations, whom He wants to let participate in His emanation of love, whom He wants to put into possession of light and strength.... (2.7.1949) For He knows about people's weak state in need of help, who are indeed His eternal living creations but who, due to their wrong will, started earthly life as spiritual beings turned away from Him and should turn to Him again of their own free will. Yet they are unable to do so without help, therefore God's love comes to meet them and wants to strengthen them and motivate them to change their will. But in order for them to recognize Him He reveals Himself to them in various ways so that it is now possible for them to change into the enlightened state from the beginning if only they want to. This is why divine revelations are of such immeasurable value, since they can shape the spiritual being's fate into a blissful one for all eternity, yet always dependent on the human being's free will during his earthly existence. God has constantly revealed Himself since the beginning of creation, the connection between God and people has never ceased, His revelations have always been the light which broke through the darkness of night.... the fallen creatures' lack of knowledge.... and thus the possibility was always given to reach the original source of light, to God.... But again and again the light was dimmed, i.e. what emanated brightly and radiantly from God was darkened or completely extinguished by human will. Pure truth was interspersed with error or displaced by falsehood. Divine revelations were disfigured and in this state still presented to people as divine. As a result, humanity fell more and more into darkness, except for a few who opened themselves in free will to divine revelations and were now able to receive radiant light again. Such rays of light shine sporadically in the middle of the darkness of night and their effect is indescribably beneficial for the perfection of souls which are in the process of ascent development and need help from God, but conversely the disfigured revelations have an unfavourable influence on this process, indeed, they mostly prevent it. For this reason God will again and again reveal Himself to those who are of good will and place themselves in a state which allows direct or indirect revelations. For God is the eternal truth and also wants to guide people into truth, because truth alone is light and leads people to the right realization of God's essence, which is love, omnipotence and wisdom, and thus also awakens the right love for God in them....

하나님의 계시의 가치.

영적인 계시의 가치는 단지 소수에 의해 인정을 받고, 학교 교육 방식으로 사람들에게 증명해줄 수 없다. 그러나 영적인 계시의 가치가 자신 안에 영을 깨어나게 하고, 자신을 이제 하나님의 계시를 받기에 합당하게 만든 모든 사람을 행복하게 할 것이고, 이웃 사람에게 말할 수 있지만, 단지 영적으로 깨어난 사람이 특별한 은혜를 주는 일을 이해할 수 있게 될 것이다. 그러나 이웃 사람들이 특별한 은혜에 주의를 기울이게 해야 한다. 왜냐면 모든 하나님의 계시는 그 자체에 힘을 가지고 있고 즉 아직 심장에 영향을 미칠 수 있고, 사람이 하나님의 계시를 가까이하는 일이 그에게 주는 행복과 하나님의 계시가 진리임을 느끼고, 이제 항상 또 다시 하나님의 계시를 갈망하고, 이런 일이 또한 영을 깨어나게 할 수 있기 때문이다.

하나님으로부터 오는 것은 절대로 유익한 효력이 없지 않을 것이다. 이런 효력을 위해 단지 하나님을 향한 특정한 자세가 필요하다. 사람은 하나님을 인정해야만 하고, 의지가 하나님께 향해야만 한다. 그러면 그는 또한 하나님의 말씀과 하나님의 계시를 유익으로 느끼고, 하나님의 말씀에서 흘러나오는 힘을 느낀다. 그러면 그는 더 자주 이런 행복을 구하고 하나님의 말씀을 갈망하고 감사하게 받아들이고 이로써 자신이 하나님 자신에게 다가가고 있음을 의식한다. 왜냐면 하나님이 자신을 향한 인간의 욕망과 의지를 알게 되면, 하나님이 그에게 임재하기 때문이다. 그러므로 하나님의 계시가 비록 직접 전달되지 않고 사람의 입을 통해 전달될지라도 항상 하나님의 계시는 하나님이 임재한다는 증거이다.

듣는 사람은 항상 하나님의 선물을 향한 갈망이 증가하는 형태로 말씀의 힘을 느낄 수 있게 될 것이다. 많은 사람들이 하나님의 계시의 축복 안으로 들어갈 수 있다. 그러나 그들 대부분에게 깨달음이 부족하다. 그러므로 사람들은 하나님을 알기 원하는 사람들에게 계시를 통해 알려주는 특별한 은혜의 선물과 사랑을 알지 못한다. 깨달음이 없는 사람은 은혜의 선물을 추구하지 않고, 사람이 추구하고 갈망하지 않으면, 은혜의 선물을 그에게 줄 수 없다. 왜냐면 사람이 은혜의 선물에 전혀 주의를 기울이지 않기 때문이다. 하나님이 자신을 계시해주는 일이 자신의 피조물들이 자신의 사랑의 발산을 받기를 원하고, 그들에게 빛과 힘을 주기를 원하는 영원한 창조주와 자신의 피조물들 과의 긴밀한 관계를 증명한다.

(1949년 7월 2일) 하나님은 영원으로부터 실제 자신의 피조물들이지만 그들의 잘못된 의지로 인해 하나님으로부터 멀어진 영적인 존재로서 이 땅의 삶을 시작했고 자유의지로 다시 하나님께 돌아가야 할 사람들의 연약하고 도움이 필요한 상태를 안다. 그러나 그들은 도움 없이는 하나님께 다시 돌아갈 수 없다. 그러므로 하나님의 사랑이 그들에게 다가가고, 그들을 강하게 하여 그들이 의지를 바꾸기를 원한다. 그들이 하나님을 깨달을 수 있도록 하나님은 가장 다양한 방법으로 그들에게 자신을 나타내, 그들이 단지 원한다면, 자신을 원래 초기의 빛이 충만한 상태가 되는 일이 가능하게 한다.

그러므로 하나님의 계시는 헤아릴 수 없는 가치가 있어 영적인 존재의 운명을 모든 영원에 영원을 위해 축복되게 만들 수 있다. 그럴지라도 이런 일은 항상 이 땅에서 존재하는 동안에 갖는 인간의 자유의지에 달려 있다. 하나님은 창조한 후로부터 계속하여 자신을 계시했고, 하나님과 인간과의 연결을 한번도 중단하지 않았다. 그의 계시는 항상 빛이었고, 어두운 밤과 타락한 피조물들의 무지를 물리쳤다. 이를 통해 피조물에게 항상 원래의 빛의 근원인 하나님께 도달할 가능성이 주어졌다. 그러나 이 빛이 계속해서 어두워졌다. 다시 말해 하나님으로부터 발산된 밝게 빛나는 빛이 인간의 의지에 의해 어두워지거나 완전히 꺼졌다.

순수한 진리가 오류에 의해 물러나게 되거나 거짓으로 대체되었다. 하나님의 계시가 훼손되었고, 이런 상태에 있는 하나님의 계시가 사람들에게 여전히 하나님의 계시로 제시되었다. 이를 통해 인류는 점점 더 어두움 속으로 떨어졌고, 단지 몇몇의 사람들이 자유의지로 하나님의 계시에 자신을 열고, 이제 다시 빛나는 빛을 받을 수 있게 되었다. 밤의 어두움 한가운데 빛의 광선이 간헐적으로 비추었고, 이런 빛은 성장과정 중에 있고 하나님의 도움이 필요한 혼들이 온전하게 되는 일을 표현할 수 없게 돕는 효력을 발휘했다. 이와 다르게 훼손된 계시는 성장과정을 불리하게 하는 영향을 미쳤다. 즉 대부분 성장과정을 방해했다.

그러므로 하나님은 선한 의지가 있고, 자신을 직접적으로 또는 간접적으로 계시를 받을 수 있게 하는 상태로 만드는 사람들에게 항상 또 다시 자신을 계시할 것이다. 하나님은 영원한 진리이고 사람들을 진리로 인도하기를 원한다. 왜냐면 진리가 유일한 빛이고 사람들을 사랑과 전능함과 지혜인 하나님의 본질에 대한 올바른 지식을 주고, 그들 안에서 하나님을 향한 올바른 사랑이 깨어나게 하기 때문이다.
