Material and spiritual creation.... activity of the residents....

The visible world contains the unredeemed spiritual and therefore has material creations in which the spiritual is to mature. The material world is therefore necessary as long as there has to be a form which serves the spiritual as an envelope, which it is to feel as a constraint, because the urge to get rid of this form is cause for an activity and this again necessary for maturing. The beingness in the form serves through this activity according to its destiny and through serving, even if in a state of compulsion, slowly develops upwards. If the beingness were not bound in a form, it would remain inactive because it is still in resistance to God and is therefore powerless, whereas as a living being, for which the outer form is necessary, it also receives the life force which enables it to be active. Therefore a constant change is noticeable in the material world, because activity always means a change of what is to be addressed as matter. This perception is obvious in the stage as a human being, where a perpetual activity is a condition if the physical life of a human being is to be maintained. A state without activity is already a state of death, although the body can still be called alive, but inactivity is a sign of unused strength, which is then completely withdrawn from the human being, because an inactive earthly life violates divine order and must have a corresponding effect. Upward development can only take place through activity, but this is the purpose and aim of earthly life, both for the human being as well as for the whole of earthly creation, in which the spiritual has to be active in a serving way....

(15.8.1948) And thus earthly creations will exist as long as spiritual things still have to be redeemed, which takes eternities. Every earthly creation is only the image of a spiritual work of creation, it is the form which the spiritual can see in its weak degree of realization, whereas the purely spiritual is only visible to the being which is mature, which is in realization, in light and can see everything spiritual as with bodily eyes. These creations are far more magnificent to behold, they are of a diversity and design that could find no comparison on earth. The one who sees can only enjoy constantly and is himself in a consciousness of power which drives him to creative and formative activity. Spiritual creations also require no space and are therefore also unlimited in their extension. "What no man's eye has ever seen and no man's ear has ever heard, I have prepared for those who love Me...." This promise is fulfilled when we look at those creations which testify to God's undreamt-of love and wisdom and are accessible to every being standing in the light. Since they are pure creations of light, they also radiate light in all directions and are therefore sources of light which illuminate the universe, even though the creations themselves are not visible. The light radiation, however, manifests itself and penetrates into the universe to take its path to lightless material creations, thus to become visible as 'spiritual' to beings which certainly need light but are not yet able to produce it themselves as light bearers or to receive direct light radiation from the spiritual kingdom. Creations which shine are to be regarded as spiritual creations, thus not consisting of earthly material substances but only visible to the spiritually able to see, whereas an imperfect being can only behold the light which these spiritual creations radiate. Spiritual creations can also become form as soon as they come into an area of directed matter, when therefore a new creation is to come into being through God's will, which again must hold directed spiritual, and these creations are placed into the universe by the light beings as their own idea, yet according to divine will. For matter is spiritual which has become form, which is always first condensed somewhere but is originally spiritual, thus strength from God. At which moment the spiritual takes on form, i.e. matter comes into being, is beyond the knowledge of the being which, embodied as a human being, lives in the midst of material creation and whose knowledge corresponds to its degree of maturity. Only as a being of light does it understand the process of the emergence of matter, so that at the same time it also possesses knowledge of the spiritual creations and can itself be active in creating and shaping. Then it will have solved and answered many questions which it could not solve as a human being, and there will be no end to its praise and glorification of the eternal creator....

물질적이고 영적인 창조물. 주민들의 활동.

보이는 세계는 구원받지 못한 영적인 존재를 담고 있다. 그러므로 보이는 세계는 물질적 창조물 안에 성장해야 할 영적인 존재가 있는 것을 나타낸다. 그러므로 물질 세계가 영적인 존재가 겉형체를 강요로 느껴야 할, 영적인 존재의 겉형체로써 섬기는 형체여야만 하는 동안에는, 물질 세계가 필요하다. 왜냐면 이런 형체를 벗어나려는 욕구가 활동하는 원인이고, 이런 활동이 성장을 위해 다시 필요하기 때문이다. 존재는 형체 안에서 자신이 정함받은대로 행하는 일을 통해 섬기고, 비록 의무의 상태에서 서서히 성장할지라도, 이런 섬기는 일을 통해 성장한다.

존재가 어떤 형체 안에 묶여 있지 않았다면, 존재는 활동하지 않는 상태로 머물게 되었을 것이다. 왜냐면 존재가 아직 하나님을 대적하는 가운데 있고, 이로써 무기력하기 때문이다. 반면에 존재는 생명체로서 겉형체가 필요하고, 또한 그가 일하는 일을 가능하게 하는 생명력을 제공받는다. 그러므로 물질 세계에 끊임없는 변화가 일어나는 것을 볼 수 있다. 왜냐면 활동하는 일이 물질이라고 할 수 있는 것의 변화를 의미하기 때문이다. 인간의 육체적인 생명이 보존되기 위해, 항상 계속되는 활동이 조건인 인간의 단계에서 이런 변화를 분명하게 알 수 있다.

활동이 없는 상태는 이미 죽음의 상태이다. 비록 육체가 아직 살아있다고 할 수 있지만, 그러나 활동하지 않는 일은 힘을 사용하지 않는다는 증거이다. 그러면 사람에게서 이 힘을 전적으로 빼앗게 된다. 왜냐면 활동하지 않는 이 땅의 삶은 하나님의 질서를 어기는 일이고 이에 합당하게 결과가 나타나야만 하기 때문이다. 단지 활동을 통해 높은 성장이 일어날 수 있다. 그러나 높이 성장하는 일이 인간과 창조물 안의 영적인 존재를 섬기는 일을 해야만 하는 이 땅의 창조물 모두를 위한 이 땅의 삶의 목적과 목표이다. (1948년 8월 15일) 그러므로 영적인 존재들이 아직 구속되어야 하는 동안에는, 이 땅의 창조물은 존재하게 될 것이다. 이일에 영원에 영원한 시간이 필요하다.

이 땅의 모든 창조물은 영적인 창조물의 모형이고, 영적인 존재가 자신의 연약한 깨달음의 정도를 가지고 볼 수 있는 형체이다. 반면에 순수한 영적인 존재는 단지 성숙하고, 깨달음에 도달하고, 빛 가운데 육체의 눈처럼 모든 영적인 존재를 볼 수 있는 존재가 볼 수 있다. 이런 영적인 창조물은 훨씬 더 영광스럽게 보이고, 이 땅과는 비교할 수 없는 다양성과 형상을 가지고 있다. 바라보는 사람이 단지 끊임없이 즐길 수 있고, 이 가운데 그는 그가 창조하고 조성하는 일을 하게 하는 힘을 의식한다. 영적 창조물은 또한 공간이 필요하지 않다. 그러므로 영적 창조물의 확장되는 일에 제한이 없다.

"사람의 눈으로 본 적이 없고 사람의 귀도 들은 적이 없는 것을 나는 나를 사랑하는 사람들을 위해 준비했다." 이 약속은 영적인 창조물을 바라볼 때 성취가 된다. 이런 창조물은 직잠할 수 없는 하나님의 사랑과 지혜를 증거하고, 빛 안에 거하는 모든 존재가 접근할 수 있는 창조물이다. 이런 창조물이 순수한 빛의 창조물이기 때문에 창조물은 모든 방향으로 빛을 발산하고 그러므로 창조물 자체는 보이지 않지만 우주를 비추는 빛의 출처이다. 그러나 빛이 발산되고 우주에 도달한다. 이로써 빛이 없는 물질적 창조물이 그들의 길을 가게 하고, 실제 빛이 필요하지만 그러나 빛의 전달자로써 아직 스스로 빛을 생산할 수 없는 존재들이, 다시 말해 영의 나라에서 직접 빛의 광선을 받을 수 없는 존재들이 영적인 존재를 볼수 있게 한다.

빛을 발산하는 창조물은 영적인 창조물로 여겨야 한다. 그러므로 이런 창조물은 이 땅의 입자들로 이루어진 것이 아니라 단지 영적으로 볼 수 있는 사람에게 보인다. 반면 온전하지 못한 존재는 단지 이런 영적 창조물이 발산하는 빛을 볼 수 있다. 영적인 창조물이 묶임을 받은 물질의 영역으로 들어가면, 하나님의 뜻에 의해 다시 묶임을 받은 영적인 존재를 담아야만 할 새로운 창조물이 생성되려면, 영적인 창조물이 형체가 될 수도 있다. 이런 창조물은 빛의 존재 자신의 생각으로 그러나 하나님의 뜻에 따라 우주 공간에 놓이게 된다. 왜냐면 물질은 형체가 된 영적인 존재이고, 이 물질은 항상 어딘 가에서 먼저 응축이 되기 때문이다. 그러나 물질은 원래는 영적인 존재이다. 즉 하나님으로부터 나온 힘이다.

영적인 존재가 어는 순간에 형체를 입는 지는, 즉 물질이 생겨나는 지는, 인간으로 육신을 입고 물질적 창조물 가운데 살고, 그의 깨달음이 그의 성장정도에 합당한 존재의 지식을 넘어서는 지식이다. 존재가 빛의 존재로서 동시에 영적 창조물에 관한 깨달음을 얻고, 스스로 창조하고 형성할 수 있게 되면, 그가 비로소 물질의 창조 과정을 이해하게 된다. 그러면 그가 인간으로서는 해결할 수 없었던 많은 질문들이 그에게 풀리고, 영원한 창조주를 향한 그의 찬양과 찬송은 끝이 없게 될 것이다.
