Pre-humans.... creation illustrated....

You must visualize the development of every work of creation in order to gain the conviction that the human being also had to cover an infinitely long period of development before he reached the stage where he could think, speak and act in free will. To a certain extent, an outer form had to be formed which was suitable for any kind of activity; furthermore, an organic activity had to be possible for this outer form which served the preservation of the body. But this outer form first had to come into being in the most primitive way and in the course of a long time had to refine itself, that is, it took a long time for this outer form to develop in such a way that intellect and free will were added to it and it could now carry out any activity rationally. From this it follows that there was no sudden creation of the human being by God, although this was certainly easily possible for Him but did not correspond to His wisdom and love, but that a slowly ascending development preceded, the product of which is the human being who is capable of thinking, wanting freely and carrying out deeds, who could now also be held responsible for his thinking, wanting and doing. Therefore, before the fully developed human being there were already human-like living beings on earth on different levels of development, but temporally there was no great difference, so that at the same time the whole earth was (not) animated. (not animated).... (crossed out and changed in brackets in the handwriting) by the living being that could lay claim to the name man, that was therefore in possession of free will and a well-developed intellect and thus capable of acquiring a certain degree of knowledge.

And this being multiplied according to divine will and divine order, for every work of creation, including the human being, is subject to divine natural law, and it is guided and determined to act in accordance with nature, on which its existence also depends. He can certainly also violate this natural law, but this also endangers his physical life as a human being on earth as well as his soul life, for whose (the soul's) further development the external form was given to him (the soul).

(8.5.1948) For the sake of the high aim man also had to be given abilities by God which can let him reach this aim if free will is seriously directed towards it. The human being must acquire abilities himself, he must develop his talents and strive to attain the highest maturity of soul. Thus, even as a human being he must continue to develop, and no longer according to his external form, but his thinking, willing and acting must be directed towards his inner form, so that at the end of his earthly career a being will enter the spiritual kingdom which resembles the originally created being, just as it came from God's source.... The act of creation is therefore a process which extended over a long period of time but which was presented to people as it was comprehensible to them, for the creature's state of imperfection results in ignorance, in the inability to understand the deepest motives of creation, its meaning and purpose and its final aim, and the final aim of the creatures placed on earth by God, for which reason knowledge had to be offered to the latter in a form that gave a rough outline of God's rule and activity, in order to make the creation of the earth and all living creatures understandable to men in a pictorial way. But as soon as the human being achieves the shaping into love in free will, as soon as he develops the ability within himself to receive spiritual instructions, as soon as he is mentally in contact with the spiritual kingdom, he will also know about the pure truth, about the slow upward development of all creation and thus also of the human being, who, as the crown of creation, is the only living being which can change ignorance into a high degree of knowledge, to whom therefore also the ability was given to recognize God and His working, which reveals love, wisdom and omnipotence. Once a person has acquired this knowledge he will also be able to explain the figurative comparison which was once given to the ancients who, if they were pious and God-fearing, understood its true meaning. Faithless people, on the other hand, regard every depiction of creation as untrue or unacceptable, and they reject it without knowing the truth or being able to oppose it with better knowledge. But even if the truth could be offered to them clearly and comprehensibly, they would reject it because their intellect cannot grasp it, since their hearts are without love....

Hommes antérieurs - la Création présentée figurativement

Vous devez tenir compte du chemin de devenir de toutes des Œuvres de Création pour conquérir la conviction que même l'homme a dû parcourir pendant un temps infiniment long la voie du développement, avant avoir atteint le stade dans lequel il pouvait penser, parler et agir dans la libre volonté. Il devait pour ainsi dire se constituer une forme extérieure qui était apte pour chaque évolution, en outre une activité organique qui servait à la conservation du corps devait être possible à cette forme extérieure. Mais cette forme extérieure devait d'abord se lever depuis l’état primitif et s’affiner au cours d'un temps très long, donc il lui a fallu longtemps pour se lever jusqu'à ce que cette forme extérieure se constitue de sorte qu’il puisse lui être ajouté l'entendement et la libre volonté et maintenant elle pouvait exécuter raisonnablement n'importe quelle activité. De cela résulte qu’il n’a pas existé une Création soudaine de l’homme par Dieu, bien que cela lui soit facilement possible, mais cela ne correspondait pas à Sa Sagesse et à Son Amour, mais un lent développement ascendant a dû précéder dont le produit est l'homme capable de penser, de vouloir librement et exécuter des actions, et qui maintenant pouvait aussi être appelé à répondre de ses pensées, de sa volonté et de ses actes. Donc avant l'homme pleinement développé il existait déjà des êtres vivants semblables à l'homme sur la Terre bien qu’ils fussent sur une marche différente de développement, mais dans le temps il n'y avait pas une grande différence, de sorte qu’en même temps toute la Terre a été habitée par des êtres vivants qui pouvaient se servir du nom d’« homme », qui étaient donc en possession de la libre volonté et d'un esprit bien développé et donc capable de se procurer un certain degré de connaissance.

Et cet être s'est multiplié selon la Volonté divine dans l'Ordre divin, parce que chaque Œuvre de Création, y compris l'homme, est soumise à la divine Loi de la nature et est guidée et déterminée à agir conformément à la nature dont dépend aussi son existence. L’homme peut cependant transgresser cette Loi de la nature, mais il met en danger sa vie corporelle en tant qu’homme sur la Terre comme aussi la vie de son âme, dont le développement continue lui a été donné au travers de la forme extérieure. (08.05.1948) Pour ce haut but il devait aussi être donné à l'homme par Dieu des facultés qui peuvent lui faire atteindre ce but si la libre volonté est orientée sérieusement. L'homme lui-même doit s’approprier ces facultés, il doit faire se développer en lui des dispositions et chercher à atteindre avec cela la plus haute maturité de l'âme. Donc en tant qu’homme il doit encore continuer à se développer, c'est-à-dire non plus selon sa forme extérieure, mais ses pensées, sa volonté et ses actes doivent être tournés vers sa formation intérieure, pour qu'à la fin de sa carrière terrestre un être qui ressemble à l'être crée primordialement entre dans le Royaume spirituel, où il a eu son Origine en Dieu. L’Acte de Création est donc un processus qui s’est étalé sur un grand espace de temps mais qui a été présenté aux hommes de manière qu’il leur soit compréhensible, parce que leur état d'imperfection a aussi pour l'effet la non-connaissance de la créature et de son incapacité à reconnaître les plus profondes raisons de la Création, son sens et son but ainsi que le but final des créatures mises par Dieu sur la Terre, pour laquelle le savoir devait être offert à ces dernières sous une forme qui donnait à l’Action et au Règne de Dieu un contour approximatif, pour rendre compréhensible aux hommes la Création de la Terre d’une manière figurative. Mais dès que l'homme a été apte à se former dans l'amour dans la libre volonté, dès que s’est développé en lui la faculté de recevoir des enseignements spirituels, dès qu'il a été en liaison mentale avec le Royaume spirituel, il sait aussi la pure Vérité sur le lent développement vers le Haut de chaque Création et donc aussi de l'homme qui en tant que Couronne de la Création est l'unique être vivant qui peut changer la non-connaissance en un haut degré de connaissance, et auquel il a été donné aussi la faculté de reconnaître Dieu et Son Action qui révèle Amour, Sagesse et Omnipotence. Lorsque l'homme a conquis ce savoir, alors il peut aussi expliquer cette comparaison figurative qui autrefois avait été donné aux anciens, lesquels, s’ils étaient pieux et dans la crainte de Dieu, comprenaient aussi sa juste signification. Mais aux hommes sans foi par contre toute représentation de la Création semble irréelle ou inacceptable et ils la refusent sans cependant connaître la Vérité ou bien pouvoir y opposer un meilleur savoir. Même à ceux-ci la Vérité pourrait être offerte clairement et de façon compréhensible, mais ils la refuseraient, parce que leur entendement ne la saisit pas et parce que leur cœur est sans amour.
