Opposing a strong will to the adversary of God....

Only a strong will is able to assert itself when it is necessary to carry out a mission for the kingdom of God and is opposed from all sides. Then the weak person will slacken in his activity, whereas a strong will does not let itself be deterred and pursues and achieves its aim straightforwardly. Every activity for the kingdom of God will incur the opposition of God's adversary, and his endeavour will constantly be to prevent the activity for God or make it impossible. And thus a servant of God will constantly be confronted by opponents amongst his fellow human beings who try to convince him of the uselessness of his work for the kingdom of God in order to stifle the impulse for eager activity in him. These are the people who are strongly influenced by God's adversary and listen to his mental whisperings. But God's adversary is an enemy of truth, and therefore he will always fight the truth, he will ensure that God's servants are constantly harassed by fellow human beings, that they portray spiritual work as unimportant and also cast doubts into the hearts of those representatives of divine teaching. He will be at work wherever there is the possibility of winning souls for the kingdom of God, and only where the servant of God has a strong will to oppose him, where he does not allow himself to be distracted by opposition of any kind, that is where success will also be recorded. Then he will not let up, and his bond with God will also strengthen his will to work for Him. God's adversary works with cunning and force, and where he does not achieve anything with God's representative due to doubts he tries to prevent people from accepting the divine word, he tries to steer them into a different channel so that they ignore the precious gift or turn away from Him. But he constantly scatters weeds among the divine seeds, he tries to undermine and suppress the truth through false teachings. And again, the servant of God must offer him resistance by virtue of his will, he must use his spiritual knowledge and refute every objection if it is possible for him. He must not grow weary but keep the great spiritual adversity in mind which has moved God to obviously come to people's aid and now be a faithful servant to Him who eagerly works for his lord in order to fulfil His will. For the adversity is great, and a good labourer in the vineyard of the lord can accomplish much work, and he will also become victorious over the enemy of souls if only he appeals to God for strong will and for help in his own spiritual adversity....

Contrapporre una forte volontà all’avversario di Dio

Soltanto una forte volontà può affermarsi, quando si tratta di eseguire una missione per il Regno di Dio e le viene opposta la resistenza da tutte le parti. Allora l’uomo debole cederà nella sua attività, mentre una forte volontà non si lascia irretire e persegue e raggiunge per via diretta la sua meta.

Ogni attività per il Regno di Dio si attirerà la persecuzione dell’avversario di Dio, ed il suo tendere sarà sempre di ostacolare l’agire per Dio oppure renderlo impossibile. E così ad un servitore di Dio sorgeranno sempre degli avversari fra i prossimi, che cercheranno di convincerlo dell’inutilità del suo lavoro per il Regno di Dio, per soffocare in lui la spinta per la fervente attività. Questi sono degli uomini che vengono fortemente influenzati dall’avversario di Dio e danno ascolto ai suoi sussurri mentali.

L’avversario di Dio però è il nemico della Verità e perciò combatterà sempre la Verità, avrà cura affinché i servitori di Dio vengano costantemente oppressi dai prossimi, che costoro rappresentano il lavoro spirituale come insignificante e spargono anche dei dubbi nei cuori di quei rappresentanti della Dottrina divina. Egli sarà all’opera ovunque esiste la possibilità di conquistare delle anime per il Regno di Dio, e soltanto dove i servitori di Dio gli oppongono una forte volontà, dove non si lasciano irretire da resistenze di ogni genere, anche là si potrà registrare il successo. Allora non cederà e l’unificazione con Dio rafforza anche la sua volontà all’attività per Lui.

L’avversario di Dio lavora con astuzia e violenza, e dove non riesce ad ottenere nulla tramite il dubbio presso gli incaricati di Dio, là cerca di ostacolare gli uomini nell’accettazione della Parola divina, egli cerca di guidarli in un’altra scia d’acqua, affinché lascino inosservato il prezioso Dono oppure si distolgano da Lui. Ma egli sparge costantemente dell’erbaccia fra le semenze divine, cerca di minare la Verità tramite insegnamenti errati e di respingerla.

Ed il servitore di Dio deve nuovamente offrirgli la resistenza, deve impiegare il suo sapere spirituale e confutare ogni obiezione, quando gli è possibile. Non deve stancarsi, ma deve tenersi davanti agli occhi la grande miseria che ha mosso Dio di venire in evidente Aiuto agli uomini ed esserGli ora un fedele servitore, che lavora con fervore per il suo Signore, per compiere la Sua Volontà. Perché la miseria è grande ed un buon operaio nella Vigna del Signore può prestare molto lavoro, e diventerà anche vincitore sul nemico delle anime, se soltanto chiede a Dio una forte volontà e l’Aiuto nella propria miseria spirituale.
