Opposing a strong will to the adversary of God....

Only a strong will is able to assert itself when it is necessary to carry out a mission for the kingdom of God and is opposed from all sides. Then the weak person will slacken in his activity, whereas a strong will does not let itself be deterred and pursues and achieves its aim straightforwardly. Every activity for the kingdom of God will incur the opposition of God's adversary, and his endeavour will constantly be to prevent the activity for God or make it impossible. And thus a servant of God will constantly be confronted by opponents amongst his fellow human beings who try to convince him of the uselessness of his work for the kingdom of God in order to stifle the impulse for eager activity in him. These are the people who are strongly influenced by God's adversary and listen to his mental whisperings. But God's adversary is an enemy of truth, and therefore he will always fight the truth, he will ensure that God's servants are constantly harassed by fellow human beings, that they portray spiritual work as unimportant and also cast doubts into the hearts of those representatives of divine teaching. He will be at work wherever there is the possibility of winning souls for the kingdom of God, and only where the servant of God has a strong will to oppose him, where he does not allow himself to be distracted by opposition of any kind, that is where success will also be recorded. Then he will not let up, and his bond with God will also strengthen his will to work for Him. God's adversary works with cunning and force, and where he does not achieve anything with God's representative due to doubts he tries to prevent people from accepting the divine word, he tries to steer them into a different channel so that they ignore the precious gift or turn away from Him. But he constantly scatters weeds among the divine seeds, he tries to undermine and suppress the truth through false teachings. And again, the servant of God must offer him resistance by virtue of his will, he must use his spiritual knowledge and refute every objection if it is possible for him. He must not grow weary but keep the great spiritual adversity in mind which has moved God to obviously come to people's aid and now be a faithful servant to Him who eagerly works for his lord in order to fulfil His will. For the adversity is great, and a good labourer in the vineyard of the lord can accomplish much work, and he will also become victorious over the enemy of souls if only he appeals to God for strong will and for help in his own spiritual adversity....

Oponiendo una fuerte voluntad al adversario de Dios....

Sólo una voluntad fuerte es capaz de imponerse cuando es necesario llevar a cabo una misión para el reino de Dios y recibe oposición por todos lados. Entonces, la persona débil aflojará en su actividad, mientras que una voluntad fuerte no se deja distraer y persigue y alcanza su objetivo directamente. Toda actividad en favor del reino de Dios suscitará la oposición del adversario de Dios, y su empeño será constantemente contrarrestar la actividad en favor de Dios o hacerla imposible. Y así, un siervo de Dios se verá constantemente confrontado con oponentes entre sus semejantes que intentan convencerle de la inutilidad de su trabajo por el reino de Dios para sofocar el impulso de una actividad entusiasta en él. Esos oponentes son las personas que están fuertemente influenciadas por el adversario de Dios y escuchan sus susurros mentales. Pero el adversario de Dios es un enemigo de la verdad, y por lo tanto siempre combatirá la verdad, se asegurará de que los siervos de Dios sean constantemente acosados por sus semejantes, de que presenten el trabajo espiritual como algo sin importancia y también de que siembren dudas en los corazones de los representantes de la enseñanza divina. Trabajará allí donde exista la posibilidad de ganar almas para el reino de Dios, y sólo allí donde el siervo de Dios tenga una fuerte voluntad de oposición, donde no se deje distraer por la oposición de cualquier tipo, allí también se registrará el éxito. Entonces no cejará, y su vínculo con Dios también fortalecerá su voluntad de trabajar para Él. El adversario de Dios trabaja con astucia y fuerza, y allí donde no consigue nada con el representante de Dios debido a las dudas, trata de impedir que la gente acepte la Palabra divina, trata de dirigirla por un cauce diferente para que ignore el precioso don o se aleje de Él. Constantemente esparce cizaña entre las semillas divinas, intenta socavar y suprimir la verdad mediante falsas enseñanzas. Y de nuevo, el siervo de Dios debe ofrecerle resistencia en virtud de su voluntad, debe usar su conocimiento espiritual y refutar toda objeción si le es posible. No debe cansarse, sino tener presente la gran adversidad espiritual que ha movido a Dios a acudir evidentemente en ayuda de las personas y ser ahora un siervo fiel a Él que trabaja con entusiasmo para su Señor a fin de cumplir su voluntad. Porque la adversidad es grande, y un buen trabajador en la viña del Señor puede realizar mucho trabajo, y también llegará a ser victorioso sobre el enemigo de las almas si sólo apela a Dios para que le dé una fuerte voluntad y le ayude en su propia adversidad espiritual....
