Childhood of God.... Jesus Christ becoming one with God....

The human being's spiritual aim should be the attainment of childship to God, for he is given the opportunity to develop into a brightest being of light during his life on earth and to depart from earth in complete union with God. This is the becoming one with God, which Jesus Christ also achieved on earth and which all people can attain if they strive for it in all seriousness. It is not beyond a person's strength, it only requires the strong will to live as Jesus Christ lived on earth, in unselfish love for one's neighbour. Unselfish neighbourly love is what Jesus preached to people, and it is and remains the core of Christian teaching, it is the content of the gospel which His disciples were to spread in the world. But the effect of a Christian life of love is something incomparably glorious.... the human being has become a child of God, His heir, and he enters into all the rights of the father.... it can create and shape like Him and use its strength in supreme bliss, which it fulfils through the intimate union with God. There are certainly innumerable degrees of bliss, of light and strength; depending on the degree of maturity the souls are in a blissful state if they are only recipients of light and strength, thus once they have found entrance into the kingdom of light. But a child of God is infinitely more blissful, for it has reached the degree of perfection which allows closest proximity and connection with God. It no longer feels separated from Him, it feels one with Him and yet is aware of its individual existence, it still possesses its free will which, however, has completely aligned itself with God's will, it is a blissful state of togetherness, a constant desire for and granting of God's love, it is blissful harmony, unceasing blissful activity and perpetual striving upwards, for perfection has no limit, and constant striving also belongs to bliss because it is never unsuccessful. And the human being can already reach this highest degree of happiness on earth if he has the serious will. But only a few strive for it, only a few humbly accept the fate which is imposed on them in order to be able to mature in a short time. For despite eager activity of love the soul has to be purified through suffering if it wants to be able to receive the light in all its fullness.... It must struggle on earth and endure much suffering and deprivation, it must walk the path Jesus walked on earth, love and suffer, it must carry the cross until the end.... Then the soul will merge with God, it will become one with Him, it will be His child and remain so for all eternity....

하나님의 자녀권. 예수 그리스도는 하나님과 하나가 되심.

인간의 영적인 목표는 하나님의 자녀권이어야 한다. 왜냐면 이를 위해 인간은 그의 이 땅의 삶 동안 가장 밝은 빛의 존재로 성장할 수 있고, 하나님과 완전히 연합이 되어 이 땅을 떠날 수 있는 가능성이 인간에게 주어졌기 때문이다. 이는 바로 예수 그리스도가 이 땅에서 이룬 하나님과의 하나가 된 일이고, 모든 사람이 진지하게 하나님과의 하나가 되기 위해 추구하면, 모든 사람이 이룰 수 있는 일이다. 이일은 인간의 힘을 통해서가 아니라, 단지 예수 그리스도께서 이 땅에서 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 자신의 이웃을 향한 사랑을 행하는 삶을 사신 것처럼 살려는 강한 의지를 필요로 한다.

예수님은 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 이웃사랑을 설교하셨고, 이 가르침은 기독교의 가르침의 핵심이고, 제자들이 세상에 전해야 할 복음의 내용이다. 그러나 기독교적인 사랑의 삶은 어떤 비교할 수 없게 영광스러운 삶이고, 사람은 하나님의 자녀가 되고, 하나님의 상속자가 되고, 아버지의 모든 권리를 갖게 한다. 자녀는 아버지처럼 창조하고 형성하는 일을 하고, 가장 큰 축복 가운데 하나님과의 긴밀한 관계를 통해 채워진 자신의 힘을 사용하고, 셀 수 없이 많은 축복과 빛과 힘이 있다. 혼이 단지 빛과 힘을 받게 되면, 즉 언젠가 빛의 나라에 들어가는 문을 찾게 되면, 혼은 성숙한 정도에 따라 혼은 축복된 상태가 된다.

그러나 하나님의 자녀는 훨씬 더 많은 축복을 받는다. 왜냐면 자녀는 하나님 가장 가까이로 갈 수 있게 하고, 하나님과의 연결을 허용하는 온전함에 도달했기 때문이다. 자녀는 더 이상 하나님과 분리된 것으로 느끼지 않고, 하나님과 하나된 느낌을 갖지만, 개인으로써 자신의 존재에 대한 의식을 가지고 있고, 그는 자신의 자유의지를 가지고 있다. 그러나 그의 자유의지는 하나님의 의지와 완전히 같아지게 되었고, 이는 둘이 함께 하는 축복된 상태이고, 하나님의 사랑을 항상 갈망하고 받는 상태이고, 축복된 조화이고, 끊임없는 행복하게 하는 일을 하고, 항상 높은 곳을 추구하는 상태이다. 왜냐면 온전함에는 한계가 없고, 끊임없이 추구하는 일이 축복에 속해있고 때문이다. 왜냐면 그런 추구가 절대로 실패하지 않기 때문이다.

인간이 진지한 의지를 가지고 있다면, 인간은 이 땅에서 이미 가장 높은 수준의 행복을 얻을 수 있다. 그러나 단지 소수의 사람들이 이런 행복을 추구하고, 짧은 시간 내에 성숙하게 될 수 있기 위해 단지 소수의 사람들이 그들에게 주어진 운명을 순복하며 받아들인다. 왜냐면 열심히 사랑을 행하는 일에도 불구하고 혼이 모든 충만한 빛을 받을 수 있게 되려면, 고난을 통해 정화가 되야만 하기 때문이다. 혼은 이 땅에서 싸워야만 하고, 많은 고난과 궁핍을 견뎌야만 하고, 예수님이 이 땅에서 걸은 사랑과 고난의 길을 걸어야만 하고, 끝까지 십자가를 져야만 한다. 그러면 혼은 하나님과 융합이 되어, 하나님과 하나가 될 것이고, 그의 자녀가 될 것이고 모든 영원에 영원까지 자녀로 머물게 될 것이다.
