Prayer for poor souls....

Do not forget those who have crossed over into the beyond in distress of soul. For they need your help. They are too weak to be able to help themselves and are eternally grateful to you if you assist them and give them strength through your prayer. Love must be the reason for this prayer, love for the weak, the unredeemed, which you do not want to let suffer, for which you want to reduce suffering as far as it is within your power. If you could take a look into the kingdom of the unredeemed souls on earth, deep compassion would fill your heart and your will to help would be stimulated if only a spark of love glows within you. For their fate is an unspeakably sad one which, even if self-inflicted, impels every compassionate soul to help. In frightening darkness they dwell, according to the degree of their imperfection, and their surroundings, if they are dimly able to recognize them, are barren and unfriendly, and yet they themselves are too weak to leave the place where they dwell and create a better state for themselves, and therefore their hardship is excessive because everything causes them agony. And you can reduce their torment by taking care of the poor souls in prayer, by trying to imagine their great hardship with compassion and remembering them in heartfelt prayer.... by further reciting the gospel to them in spirit, i.e. by trying to make the blessing of love clear to them and presenting love as the only means of solution. As soon as you succeed in igniting the spark of love in a poor soul it will be saved for eternity, for then it will be able to receive strength directly from the kingdom of light, the inhabitants of which are likewise busy working on those souls but can only take action when a small desire for light and a spark of love can be recognized in the soul and when love is expressed in such a way that it wants to help the suffering souls. Then strength will be supplied to it in increased measure and now the ascent in the spiritual kingdom will begin. But never ever should you leave the souls to their fate, for only love redeems, and only a loving attitude towards them can provide them with relief from their suffering. And therefore your prayer must come from the heart, it must not just be a lip prayer, but love for the weak, helpless must impel you to sincerely appeal to God for mercy and help for these souls, you yourselves must be driven by the feeling to ease their fate and you must often turn your thoughts towards them, who already feel this as a relief and sense every loving prayer as a grant of strength. Do not forget these souls, for they need you and will be eternally grateful to you if you have helped them from the depths to the heights, from the night of their surroundings into the light....

불쌍한 혼을 위한 기도.

혼이 고난 가운데 저세상으로 들어간 사람들을 잊지 말라. 왜냐면 그들에게 너희의 도움이 필요하기 때문이다. 그들은 너무 연약해서 자신을 도울 수 없고, 너희가 그들을 돕고, 그들에게 너희의 기도를 통해 힘을 주면, 그들은 영원히 너희에게 감사할 것이다. 사랑이, 너희가 고통 가운데 놔두기를 원하지 않는 연약한 사람과 구원받지 못한 사람을 향한 사랑이, 너희의 힘이 닿는 대로 고통을 줄여주기 원하는 사랑이 이런 기도의 원인이 되야만 한다. 너희가 이 땅에서 구원받지 못한 혼이 거하는 나라를 볼 수 있게 된다면, 단지 하나의 사랑의 불씨가 너희 안에 타오른다면, 깊은 긍휼이 너희 심장을 채울 것이고, 너희의 도움을 주려는 의지는 자극을 받게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 그들의 운명은, 비록 그들 자신의 잘못이라고 할지라도, 말할 수 없게 슬픈 운명이고, 모든 연민의 정을 가진 혼들이 돕도록 만들기 때문이다.

그들은 온전하지 못한 정도에 따라 끔찍한 어두움 속에 거하고, 그들의 주변 환경은, 그들이 미약하게라도 깨달을 수 있다면, 황량하고 비우호적이다. 그러나 그들이 자신의 거주지를 떠나 더 나은 상태를 만들기에는 너무 연약하다. 그러므로 그들의 고난이 아주 크다. 왜냐면 모든 것이 그들을 괴롭히기 때문이다. 너희는 기도로 불쌍한 혼들을 돌보면서, 너희가 모든 연민으로 그들의 큰 고통을 생각하려고 시도하고, 그들을 위해 긴밀하게 기도하면서, 더 나아가 영으로 그들에게 복음을 전하면서, 즉 그들에게 사랑의 축복을 분명하게 해주려고 시도하고, 그들에게 사랑을 유일한 구원의 수단으로 그들에게 소개하면서 그들의 고통을 줄여줄 수 있다.

너희가 불쌍한 혼 안의 사랑의 불씨가 타오르게 하는 일에 성공한다면, 혼은 영원히 구원을 받는다. 왜냐면 그러면 혼이 빛의 나라에서 직접 힘을 받을 수 있기 때문이고, 빛의 나라의 거주자들도 마찬가지로 열심히 그런 혼들을 위해 일하기 때문이다. 그러나 단지 혼 안에 빛을 향한 작은 갈망이 있고, 작은 불씨만큼의 사랑이라도 있고, 이런 사랑이 함께 고통을 당하는 혼을 돕기 원하는 방식으로 표현될 때, 비로소 빛의 나라의 거주자들이 역사하기 시작한다. 그러면 혼에게 힘이 더 많이 공급이 되고, 혼은 이제 영의 나라로 올라가는 일이 시작이 된다.

그러나 너희는 혼들을 그들의 운명에 맡겨둘 수 없다. 왜냐면 단지 사랑이 구원하고, 단지 사랑으로 그들에게 향한 생각이 그들의 고통을 완화시킬 수 있기 때문이다. 그러므로 너희의 기도는 심장에서 나와야만 하고, 기도가 단지 입술의 기도가 되어서는 안되고, 연약하고 무기력한 혼에 대한 사랑이 너희가 이런 혼을 위해 긍휼과 도움을 구하게 해야만 한다. 너희 스스로가 혼의 운명을 쉽게 해주려는 느낌에 의해 인도를 받아야만 한다. 너희는 너희 생각을 더 자주 혼에게 향하게 해야 한다. 이런 생각이 이미 혼이 수월해지는 것으로 느끼고, 모든 사랑의 기도를 힘의 선물로 느끼게 된다. 이런 혼을 잊지 말라. 왜냐면 혼이 너희를 필요로 하고, 너희가 혼이 깊은 곳에서 위를 향하도록, 그들 주변의 밤에서 빛에 도달하도록 돕는다면, 혼이 그에 대해 영원히 너희에게 감사할 것이기 때문이다.
