Following Jesus.... A life of love and self-denial....

Anyone who is not as gentle and patient as Me, who does not practise his discipleship by discarding all attributes which conform to My adversary, who does not persistently strive for virtues that are the hallmark of a divine being, will hardly reach the goal of finding unification with the eternal Father Who is pure love Himself and Who can only unite with living creations which, like Him, have become love. My life on earth should serve you as an example, for as a human being I was subject to the same temptations as you because I had to take the only path which could lead a soul into perfection....

Like you, I had to fight against all longings of the flesh as well as against all attributes of an ungodly being or My life could not have served you as an example if I had been born without all human flaws and able to bypass the test of My will. I had to experience the depths of earthly life, i.e. I had to have the opportunity to voluntarily refrain from the same physical sins and avoid all incentives for them.... I had to fight against carnal longings and thereby strengthen and prepare the soul in Me to unite with the spirit. The sinfulness in My surroundings often sorely tested My love and patience, yet I wanted to remain gentle and whole-heartedly humble without exalting Myself.... And I took pity on My fellow human beings' weakness for not resisting temptations, and My love intensified.... I wanted to help those on the ground unable to get up by themselves.... For being human Myself I knew a person's weakness, and this knowledge increased My kindness and patience.

Being human Myself I was at all times able to put Myself into the situation of a sinful person's soul even though I Myself was without sin, even though I Myself, by virtue of My will, had remained victorious over all temptations of body and soul. Yet I took the strength to do so from love, and every person practising love will also muster the strength and resolve to fight against his faults and weaknesses, and he will also be victorious, for love itself is strength.... And therefore, every actively loving person will also practise all virtues which denote a divine being: he will be gentle and patient, merciful, peaceable, humble and just.... For if he meets a fellow human being with love his thoughts are loving too, and he fights all weaknesses and faults with ease. Follow Me.... live a life of love and self-denial like Me and you will release yourselves from all sinful longings, you will not become subject to sin yourselves, you will bring yourselves into line with the nature of eternal love and already find union with it on earth, and the attainment of your goal will be certain for you. Hence, like Me, you too have to take the cross upon yourselves at all times, and you should not become impatient, for if you sincerely appeal for My help I will help you carry it, and the more willingly the soul carries the cross imposed on it by the Father's love for the sake of its full maturity, the sooner it will deliver itself from earthly longings.

Follow Me and take My life on earth as an example, and you will never become subject to sin again, you will release yourselves by virtue of your determination and love, you will become free and infinitely happy beings, equipped with all divine characteristics, you will be full of light and strength in the spiritual kingdom and live blissfully happy in eternity....

Nachfolge Jesu.... Lebensweg in Liebe und Selbstverleugnung....

Wer nicht gleich Mir sanftmütig und geduldig ist, wer sich nicht darin in der Nachfolge übet, daß er alle Eigenschaften ablegt, die sich dem Wesen Meines Gegners anpassen, wer nicht unausgesetzt die Tugenden anstrebt, die ihn zu einem göttlichen Wesen stempeln, der wird schwerlich das Ziel erreichen, den Zusammenschluß mit dem Vater von Ewigkeit zu finden, Der in Sich pur Liebe ist und Der nur mit den Geschöpfen sich zusammenschließen kann, die Ihm gleich zur Liebe geworden sind. Mein Wandel auf Erden sollte euch zum Beispiel dienen, denn als Mensch war Ich den gleichen Versuchungen ausgesetzt wie ihr, weil Ich den Weg gehen mußte, der allein eine Seele zur Vollendung führen konnte.... Ich mußte ankämpfen gleich euch gegen alle Begierden des Fleisches wie auch gegen alle Eigenschaften eines ungöttlichen Wesens, ansonsten Mein Lebenswandel euch nicht als Beispiel dienen konnte, so Ich frei von allen menschlichen Fehlern geboren die Erprobung Meines Willens hätte umgehen können. Ich mußte das Leben auf Erden in seiner Tiefe durchleben, d.h. zu den gleichen Sünden vom Körper aus die Möglichkeit haben, um sie aus freiem Willen zu unterlassen und allen Anreiz dazu zu meiden.... Ich mußte gegen fleischliche Begierden ankämpfen und dadurch die Seele in Mir stark machen und willig, sich mit dem Geist zu einen. Die Sündhaftigkeit der Umwelt setzte Meine Liebe und Geduld oft auf harte Proben, doch wollte Ich sanftmütig und von ganzem Herzen demütig bleiben, durfte Ich Mich auch nicht überheben.... Und Mich erbarmte die Schwäche der Mitmenschen, daß sie nicht Widerstand leisteten den Versuchungen, und Meine Liebe nahm zu.... Ich wollte denen helfen, die am Boden lagen und sich nicht von selbst erheben konnten.... Denn als Selbst Mensch wußte Ich um alle Schwächen eines Menschen, und diese Kenntnis verstärkte Meine Sanftmut und Geduld. Als Selbst Mensch konnte Ich Mich jederzeit in die Seele dessen versetzen, der sündigte, obgleich Ich Selbst ohne Sünde war, obgleich Ich Selbst kraft Meines Willens Sieger geblieben war in allen Versuchungen des Fleisches und der Seele. Doch Ich entnahm die Kraft dazu aus der Liebe, und jeder Mensch, der sich in der Liebe übet, wird auch die Kraft und den Willen aufbringen, anzukämpfen gegen seine Fehler und Schwächen, und auch er wird den Sieg davontragen, denn die Liebe selbst ist die Kraft.... Und wer also liebetätig ist, der wird auch alle Tugenden üben, die ein göttliches Wesen kennzeichnen: er wird sanftmütig und geduldig sein, barmherzig, friedfertig, demütig und gerecht.... Denn so er den Mitmenschen Liebe entgegenbringt, ist auch sein Denken voller Liebe, und er bekämpfet alle Schwächen und Fehler mit Leichtigkeit. Folget Mir nach.... führet einen Lebenswandel gleich Mir in Liebe und Selbstverleugnung und ihr werdet euch frei machen von allen sündhaften Begierden, ihr werdet selbst nicht in Sünde verfallen, ihr werdet euch dem Wesen der ewigen Liebe angleichen und den Zusammenschluß finden mit ihr schon auf Erden, und die Erreichung eures Zieles wird euch gewiß sein. Und also müsset ihr auch allzeit euer Kreuz auf euch nehmen, gleich Mir, und ihr dürfet nicht ungeduldig werden, denn so ihr ernstlich Mich bittet um Beistand, helfe Ich es euch tragen, und eure Seele wird sich desto eher frei machen von irdischen Begierden, je williger sie das Kreuz trägt, das des Vaters Liebe ihr auferlegt hat, auf daß sie ausreifet. Folget Mir nach, und nehmet euch Meinen Lebenswandel auf Erden zum Beispiel, und nimmermehr werdet ihr in Sünde verfallen, ihr werdet euch erlösen kraft eures Willens und der Liebe, ihr werdet frei werden, unendlich selige Wesen werden, mit allen göttlichen Eigenschaften versehen, ihr werdet voller Licht und Kraft sein im geistigen Reich und selig leben in Ewigkeit....
