Request from power.... humility - grace....

Don't rely too much on your own strength but humbly pray for strength and grace from God so that you can fulfil your earthly task. Recognize the hardship of the time, recognize the low state of the souls and know that people lack strength and grace from above or they would never reach this deep degree of maturity of their souls. For with God's strength the human being inevitably progresses upwards. But anyone who trusts too much in his own strength does not notice that he is completely powerless to develop spiritually, for he only uses the vitality he constantly has at his disposal for as long as he lives on earth for his earthly life. But he lacks spiritual strength if he does not request it from God, which requires profound humility and realization of his weakness. God comes to the aid of the weak and humble, He strengthens him and lifts him up to Himself. But he who believes himself to be strong does not stretch out his hands in supplication, he does not see the father’s hand stretching out to him, but he goes his way alone, he believes to reach the aim alone and without help. But the aim is not God, the aim is not light, but his path leads into darkness, because the eternal light does not illuminate him, because the light cannot shine where it is not desired. Serious desire, however, is only expressed through humble prayer, and only when man recognizes his inadequacy does he become small and humble.... but if he feels great and strong he exalts himself, he does not recognize himself, he is unaware of his powerless state, which is the result of the former rebellion against God. The state of ignorance, however, is also a spiritual low, which requires great earthly hardship in order to be remedied. For through earthly adversity the human being often learns to recognize his lack of strength, through earthly adversity he becomes small and humble, and then he finds the path to God to Whom he humbly submits himself in prayer for help.... If earthly adversity achieves this, it will have been a blessing, and the human being will thank God in eternity that He so visibly made him aware of his own weakness in order to induce him to pray humbly. For only the grace flowing towards him brings about his ascent development, but this is only accessible to the one who humbly asks for it, thus opens himself up to it through prayer. For without the supply of spiritual strength the human being will never reach ascent, no matter how powerful he may be on earth.... The soul will remain weak and incapable of developing if it does not receive help from above. However, help can only be given to the person asking for help, otherwise he would be forced to develop upwards, which is against God's order and thus could never result in anything perfect. And until people recognize this, until they lie on the ground and stretch out their hands to God, to their father of eternity, the influx of divine strength and grace cannot touch them, and the earthly adversity cannot be alleviated either. People can be powerful if they avail themselves of the strength from God, which is at their unlimited disposal.... yet they prefer to go their own way; they believe to possess strength themselves and to be able to master all obstacles in life. And this is the inheritance of the one who thought he could defeat God, who also thought himself strong enough to deprive God of strength and overthrow Him. And as long as the human being still carries this inheritance within himself, as long as he does not recognize that all strength must first flow to him from the eternal source of strength, he will be weak despite his awareness of strength and will not be able to force anything. And only the state of complete helplessness must bring him to his senses so that he turns to the source of strength, the source of strength from eternity, requesting and expecting help from there. Only then will his path go upwards, only then will he distance himself from the one who believes himself to be powerful and yet is completely subject to the will of the one Who is strength in Himself and distributes it alone according to His discretion....

힘의 요구. 겸손-은혜.

자신의 힘에 너무 의지하지 말고, 겸손한 기도로 하나님께 힘과 은혜를 구해, 이 땅의 과제를 완수할 수 있게 하라. 시대의 위험을 깨달으라. 혼의 상태가 저조함을 깨달으라. 사람들에게 위로부터 오는 힘과 은혜가 부족함을 알라. 은혜가 부족하지 않았다면, 혼이 이런 낮은 성장 정도에 도달하지 않았을 것이다. 왜냐면 하나님의 힘으로 사람이 필연적으로 높이 성장하기 때문이다. 그러나 자신의 힘을 너무 신뢰하는 사람은 자신을 영적으로 성장시키기에는 자신이 완전히 무기력함을 알지 못한다. 왜냐면 그가 이 땅에 머무르는 동안에는 단지 이 땅의 삶을 위해 제공되고, 항상 사용할 수 있는 생명력을 사용하기 때문이다. 그러나 그가 하나님께 영적인 힘을 구하지 않으면, 그에게 영적인 힘이 부족하다. 영적인 힘을 받기 위해서는 가장 깊은 겸손과 자신의 연약함을 깨달아야만 한다.

하나님은 약하고 겸손한 사람을 돕고, 그를 강하게 하고, 그를 자신에게 들어 올린다. 그러나 자신이 강하다고 믿는 사람은 부탁하는 가운데 손을 내밀지 않고, 그는 또한 아버지의 손이 그에게 다가오는 것을 보지 못하고, 그는 자신의 길을 홀로 간다. 그는 혼자서 도움 없이 자신의 목표를 달성할 수 있다고 믿는다. 그러나 목표는 하나님이 아니고, 빛이 아니고, 그의 길은 어두움으로 인도한다. 왜냐면 영원한 빛이 그를 비춰주지 못하기 때문이다. 왜냐면 빛은 원하지 않는 곳에 빛을 비출 수 없기 때문이다.

진지한 갈망은 겸손한 기도를 통해 비로소 나타난다. 사람이 자신의 부족함을 깨닫게 되면, 그는 작아지고 겸손해진다. 그러나 그가 자신이 크고 강하다고 느끼면, 그가 자신을 높이는 것이고, 그는 자신을 깨닫지 못하고, 한때 하나님을 대적한 결과인 자신의 무기력한 상태에 대해 알지 못한다. 그러나 무지한 상태는 또한 영적으로 저조한 상태이고, 이를 해결하기 위해 세상에 큰 고난이 임한다. 인간은 이 땅의 고난을 통해 자주 자신의 무기력함을 깨닫는 법을 배우고, 이 땅의 고난을 통해 작아지고 겸손해지고, 그러면 그는 겸손하게 도움을 구하는 기도로 하나님께 나가는 길을 찾는다.

이 땅의 고난이 이런 일을 일으킨다면, 이 땅의 고난은 축복이고, 인간은 자신이 겸손한 기도를 드리도록 유도하기 위해 자신의 약점을 눈에 띄게 알려준 일에 대해 영원토록 하나님께 감사할 것이다. 왜냐면 그에게 흐르는 은혜가 비로소 그가 성장하게 하기 때문이다. 그러나 이런 은혜의 흐름은 이를 겸손하게 구하는 사람에게, 즉 기도를 통해 은혜의 흐름에 자신을 여는 사람들에게 흘러갈 수 있다. 왜냐면 사람이 이 땅에서 아주 권세 있고, 힘이 강할지라도, 영적인 힘의 공급이 없이는 그는 절대로 높은 곳에 도달하지 못하기 때문이다.

혼에게 위로부터 도움이 주어지지 않는다면, 혼은 연약한 가운데 머물고, 자신을 성장시킬 수 없다. 그러나 단지 도움을 원하는 사람이 도움을 받을 수 있다. 그렇지 않으면 그는 강제로 위로 성장하게 될 것이고, 그런 일은 하나님의 질서에 어긋나는 일이다. 즉 절대로 어떤 온전한 것이 나올 수 없다. 사람들이 이를 깨닫기 전에, 사람들이 땅에 주저 앉아 그들의 영원한 아버지 하나님께 그들의 손을 들기 전에는, 하나님의 힘과 은혜의 흐름이 그들에게 흘러갈 수 없고, 이 땅의 고난이 완화될 수 없다.

사람들에게 무한히 제공되는 하나님의 힘을 활용하면, 사람들은 힘이 충만하게 될 수 있다. 그러나 그들은 자기 뜻대로 자신의 길을 가기를 선호한다. 그들은 자신에게 힘이 있고, 인생의 모든 장애물을 극복할 수 있다고 믿는다. 이런 일은 자신이 하나님을 이길 수 있다고 믿고, 하나님의 힘이 필요하지 않고, 하나님을 전복시킬 만큼 강하다고 믿었던 자의 유산이다. 사람이 아직 이런 유산을 자신 안에 가지고 있는 동안에는, 사람이 모든 힘이 먼저 영원한 힘의 원천에서 그에게 흘러가야만 한다는 것을 깨닫지 못하는 동안에는, 그는 그의 힘을 의식하고 있음에도 불구하고 연약해지고, 아무 일도 할 수 없게 된다.

완전히 무기력한 상태가 먼저 생각을 하게 만들어, 그가 힘의 원천을, 영원한 힘의 원천을 향하고, 거기에서 도움을 요청하고 기대하게 해야만 한다. 그러면 비로소 그의 길이 위로 향하고, 자신에게 힘이 충만하다고 여기는 생각을 버리고, 자신이 힘이고, 이 힘을 자신의 판단에 따라 나눠주는 분의 의지 아래 전적으로 순복하게 된다.
