Without grace no working in love....

The human being's conscientious observance of My word is only possible if he appeals to Me for My grace, if he is aware of his weakness and appeals to Me for strength. The human being is unable to do anything on his own, for as an imperfect being he is deprived of his strength, i.e. he has rendered himself powerless through his past apostasy from Me. And he can only regain possession of strength once he has become perfect, that is, once he is in closest union with Me. Earthly life is certainly the means of maturing, however, the human being is still without the supply of strength as long as he is still in a state of imperfection, and he is imperfect until he has united with Me again through loving activity and prayer. For I also impart strength and grace to the imperfect as soon as it concerns Me. However, if a person believes that he can live or act well without acknowledging Me and appealing to Me for help, he will be in error, for even the seemingly good deeds he carries out will then be rooted more in self-love than in the right love for his neighbour, which I demand as a confession of love for Me. Anyone who is capable of love and performs good deeds with a feeling of love for his neighbour will not reject Me in his heart either, for then he will already have become similar to My nature and wisdom and the power of realization will be inherent in him.... He will already possess a degree of perfection which will secure him My supply of strength. And in thought he will also be united with Me, acknowledging Me as the most perfect being and as the creator to Whom he owes his existence and Who guides his destiny. For the loving human being carries knowledge within himself which My spirit imparts to him in the form of thoughts.... Yet the unloving person who only persists in self-love will hardly fulfil My commandments, even if he wants to appear to do so. He lacks strength and what he does are works of self-interest but not works of love for his neighbour. Every person needs grace and strength as long as he stays on earth and has not yet changed to love. He cannot ascend without help, for he has forfeited the state of strength himself as a being which believed it could distance itself from Me. And it must now inevitably return to Me voluntarily in order to be able to receive strength again through which it can work in love. The human being must turn to Me in prayer and thus bend his will to approach Me again, then I will send him strength by means of which he will be able to carry out the works so that they will excite My pleasure.... that he will be able to carry out these works with love.... For love alone makes them valuable and pleasing to Me. Every person has to make use of My grace or he will remain on the same level of development he entered at the beginning of his embodiment as a human being. Graces will also be offered to him but he will never be forced to accept or make use of them. The greatest grace, however, is prayer.... the opportunity to contact Me in order to request what he lacks. However, anyone who does not acknowledge Me and consequently does not pray to Me, who does not ask Me for help and strength, does not possess the necessary strength for ascent development either. He will neither be able to be lovingly active nor attain the right knowledge, and the maturing of his soul will not be possible on earth, for where I cannot work with My grace there is imperfection, and the being remains powerless and cannot accomplish anything of its own strength....

은혜 없이는 사랑으로 일할 수 없다.

사람이 나의 말씀을 양심적으로 지키는 일은 그가 단지 나에게 나의 은혜를 구할 때, 그가 자신의 연약함을 의식하고 나에게 힘을 구할 때 가능하다. 인간은 스스로 어떤 일도 할 수 없다. 왜냐면 사람은 온전하지 못한 존재로서 자신의 힘을 빼앗겼기 때문이다. 즉 그는 한때 타락함으로 말미암아 스스로 자신을 무기력하게 만들었다. 그가 다시 온전하게 되면, 즉 나와 가장 긴밀하게 연결이 되면, 그는 비로소 힘을 다시 소유할 수 있게 된다.

이 땅의 삶은 실제 성장하기 위한 수단이다. 그러나 인간이 아직 온전하지 못한 동안에는 그는 힘을 얻지 못한다. 인간이 사랑을 행하고 기도하는 일을 통해 나와 다시 연결될 때까지 그는 아직 온전하지 못한 상태에 있다. 그러나 온전하지 못한 사람들이 나에게 힘과 은혜를 구하면, 내가 또한 온전하지 못한 사람들에게 능력과 은혜를 베푼다. 하지만 사람이 나를 인정하고 도움을 청하지 않고, 잘 살고, 잘 행할 수 있다고 믿는다면, 그는 오류 가운데 있다. 왜냐면 그가 행하는 명백한 선행조차도 내가 나를 향한 사랑의 고백으로 요구하는 진정한 이웃을 향한 사랑이기 보다 자기 사랑에 더 뿌리를 두고 있기 때문이다.

사랑할 수 있고, 이웃을 향한 사랑으로 선한 일을 하는 사람은 심장으로 나를 거부하지 않을 것이다. 왜냐면 그가 이미 나의 성품을 닮았고, 그 안에 지혜와 깨달음의 힘이 있게 될 것이기 때문이다. 그는 이미 자신이 나의 힘의 공급을 보장해주는 정도의 온전함을 가질 것이다. 그는 또한 그의 생각으로 나와 연결이 되어 있게 될 것이고, 나를 가장 온전한 존재이자, 그를 존재하게 한 창조주요, 자신의 운명을 인도하는 분으로 깨닫게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 사랑을 행하는 사람은 내 영이 생각의 형태로 그에게 전하는 지식을 자신 안에 가지고 있기 때문이다. 그러나 단지 자기 사랑에 머무는 사랑이 없는 사람은 비록 그가 외적으로 나의 계명을 지키기는 것처럼 보이기를 원할지라도, 나의 계명을 성취시키는 일이 힘들 것이다. 그에게 힘이 부족하고, 그가 하는 일은 자신의 유익을 위한 일이고, 이웃을 향한 사랑의 역사가 아니다.

사람이 이 땅에 거하고, 아직 자신을 사랑으로 변화시키지 못한 동안에는 모든 사람에게 은혜와 힘이 필요하다. 그는 도움이 없이는 위로 성장할 수 없다. 왜냐면 그가 자신이 나에게서 멀어질 수 있다고 믿었던 존재로써 힘을 가진 상태를 잘못 활용했기 때문이다. 존재가 다시 힘을 활용하여 역사할 수 있기 위한 힘을 받을 수 있기 위해, 그는 이제 필연적으로 자발적으로 나에게 돌아와야만 한다. 그는 기도로 나에게 도움을 청해야만 하고, 다시 나에게 다가가려는 그의 의지에 순종해야만 한다. 그러면 내가 그에게 힘을 주고, 그는 이제 이 힘으로 나에게 기쁨을 불러 일으키는 일을, 사랑을 행하는 일을 할 수 있게 된다. 왜냐면 사랑이 유일하게 그의 이런 일들이 비로소 가치가 있게 하고, 나를 기쁘게 하기 때문이다.

모든 사람은 내 은혜를 활용해야만 한다. 그렇지 않으면 그는 인간으로 육신을 입기 시작했을 때의 성장 단계에 머물게 된다. 그에게 은혜가 제공이 된다. 그러나 그는 절대로 은혜를 받아들이거나 활용하도록 강요받지 않는다. 하지만 가장 큰 은혜는 기도이고, 그가 부족한 것을 요청하기 위해 나와 연락할 수 있는 가능성이다. 그러나 나를 인정하지 않고, 결과적으로 나에게 기도하지 않고, 나에게 지원과 힘을 요청하지 않는 사람은 또한 위로 성장하기 위해 필요한 힘을 가지고 있지 않다. 그는 사랑을 행할 수도 없고, 올바른 지식도 얻지도 못할 것이고, 그의 혼이 이 땅에서 성숙하게 되는 일은 불가능하게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 내가 내 은혜로 역사할 수 없는 존재는 온전하지 못하고, 무기력한 가운데 머물고, 자신의 힘으로는 어떤 일도 성취시킬 수 없기 때문이다.
