Hardness of the faith struggle....

During the last battle of faith there will be great confusion amongst people who do not have a living faith, who have only accepted a formal faith out of tradition and did not let it come alive through love and by using their intellect so that their faith would become a convinced one. Events will overtake each other and make many waver in their faith because they lack knowledge due to a lack of loving activity. For this results in wisdom, thus also recognition and knowledge of God's eternal plan of salvation, which underlies all events. People make too little use of the gifts of understanding by neglecting to think about teachings of faith which have been imparted to them from outside. And such doctrines of faith have not yet become mental property, they have not been seriously tested for their truthfulness and therefore cannot be convincingly defended either, rather, the human being will be severely shaken and himself will be in danger of throwing away his faith and that through his own fault. God has given the human being the gift of intellect so that he may use it, so that he may think through everything of spiritual good offered to him by his fellow human beings. Doctrines of faith which are accepted uncritically without having taken a stand on them themselves are not spiritual goods of their own, and they will not withstand the strong shaking of the mind which the coming battle of faith will bring. Then people will be seriously confronted with questions which they will have to answer for themselves and the world and whose answers will strongly contradict the teachings of faith and, since their faith is a dead one, they will drop it without hesitation. Even those who appear believing before the world do not stand firm, for they themselves lack conviction, being without any deeper knowledge, without insight. At a time when decision is demanded, spiritual poverty becomes particularly apparent.... For even those will fail who thought they were steadfast in the face of the threats from the world. For in this time only one thing gives strength.... the word guided to earth by God Himself, which flows to people from the intimate connection with Him as a result of living faith.... For this word gives people full knowledge and such convinced faith that they will stand firmly by God and not allow themselves to waver even in the face of the worst threats. And this word must be heard if the still dead faith is to become a convinced, living faith.... It is the source of strength from which the weak can strengthen themselves, from which they can constantly draw knowledge which gives them bright light and lets their faith grow to such strength that they will never ever give it up for the sake of earthly goods, that they resist the world's desire and faithfully persevere in their love for God, Whom they confess before all the world. The time of battle will be short but hard, yet no-one will remain without the strength to resist who hears the pure word of God and accepts it, for it will earn him the strength of faith which helps to overcome everything, and God Himself will be with him....

La durezza della lotta di fede

Regnerà una grande confusione durante l’ultima lotta di fede fra gli uomini che non stanno nella viva fede, che hanno assunto solo la fede formale per tradizione e non l’hanno fatta diventare viva attraverso l’amore e l’utilizzo del loro intelletto, affinché la fede in loro diventasse più convinta. Si accumuleranno gli avvenimenti e molti vacilleranno nella fede, perché a loro manca la conoscenza per la mancanza dell’agire nell’amore. Perché questo ha per conseguenza la Sapienza, quindi anche la conoscenza ed il sapere dell’eterno Piano di Salvezza di Dio che è alla base di ogni avvenimento. Gli uomini utilizzano troppo poco il Dono dell’intelletto, mentre mancano di riflettere sugli insegnamenti di fede che sono stati loro trasmessi dall’esterno. E tali insegnamenti di fede non sono ancora diventati proprietà mentale, non sono stati esaminati seriamente sulla loro veridicità e perciò non potranno nemmeno essere rappresentati con convinzione, l’uomo sarà piuttosto fortemente sconvolto e sarà in pericolo di rigettare la fede e questo per propria colpa. Dio ha dato all’uomo il Dono dell’intelletto affinché l’utilizzi, affinché rifletta fino in fondo su tutto ciò che gli viene offerto dai prossimi come patrimonio spirituale. Insegnamenti di fede che vengono accettati senza critica, senza aver preso lui stesso posizione, non sono un proprio patrimonio spirituale e non resisteranno al forte scuotimento del pensare che la lotta di fede in arrivo porterà con sé. Allora gli uomini verranno posti seriamente davanti a questioni che loro stessi devono rispondere nei confronti del mondo e le cui risposte stanno in forte contraddizione agli insegnamenti di fede e, dato che la loro fede è morta, la lasciano cadere senza pensarci. Persino coloro che sembrano credenti davanti al mondo non resisteranno, perché a loro stessi manca la convinzione, dato che sono senza qualsiasi sapere più profondo, sono senza conoscenza. In un tempo in cui viene richiesta la decisione, la povertà spirituale si manifesterà in modo particolare, perché falliranno persino coloro che si credevano saldi in vista delle minacce da parte del mondo. Poiché in quel tempo solo una cosa dà Forza: la Parola che Dio Stesso ha guidato sulla Terra, che giunge agli uomini dall’intimo collegamento con Lui come conseguenza della fede viva. Perché questa Parola dà agli uomini piena conoscenza ed una fede così convinta, che stanno saldi con Dio e non si lasciano nemmeno vacillare dalle minacce più gravi. E questa Parola dev’essere sentita, se la fede ancora morte deve diventare convinta, viva. E’ la Fonte di Forza nella quale si possono fortificare coloro che diventano deboli, dalla quale possono attingere assolutamente il sapere che dà loro la chiara Luce e fa crescere la loro fede ad un tale vigore, che non vi rinunciano mai più per via di beni terreni, che prestano resistenza alla pretesa del mondo ed attendono fedeli nel loro amore per Dio, il Quale dichiarano davanti a tutto il mondo. Il tempo della lotta sarà solo breve, ma duro, ma rimarrà senza Forza per la resistenza nessuno che sente la pura Parola di Dio e l’accetta, perché gli procurerà la Forza di fede che aiuta a vincere tutto e Dio Stesso Sarà con lui.
