Recognition - faith - knowledge - love....

The individual's life on earth is decisive for life in eternity. This realization also allows people to live consciously, i.e. they will make an effort to live according to God's will in order to gain eternal life. Yet most people lack this realization because they can only attain true knowledge through love and lack the will to believe in life after death, otherwise they would also strive for eternal life without knowledge. The believing human being does not doubt this, even though it cannot be proven to him what he is taught about life in eternity; nevertheless, he adjusts his earthly life according to his faith.... But the human being who has become knowledgeable through love needs no proof, for the knowledge gained through the working of love is proof enough for him. And thus he now consciously strives for eternal life.... He seeks to shape himself according to divine will in order to be able to be close to God after his death, which means life for the being. But if the human being lacks all faith in a continuation of life he will only live on earth for this world, he will not respect divine will, he will not work on himself, that is, on his soul, he will only love himself and disregard the commandment of neighbourly love, therefore he will never attain spiritual brightness, he will remain without knowledge and therefore not use earthly life for the salvation of his soul. And at the end of his life he will recognize his idleness and pass spiritually dead into the kingdom of the beyond, for he has only used earthly life for his physical well-being. But the body will pass away and with it everything he strives for.... earthly goods and pleasures.... The human being takes nothing into the spiritual kingdom which was dear to him on earth, only his soul, and this is in an extremely poor state, weak and without life. For no other fate can blossom for the soul than the one the human being has prepared for it on earth.... And therefore the human being has to believe, i.e. he has to receive instructions about his earthly task and about the consequences of fulfilling or not fulfilling this task. And accordingly he must shape his earthly life. If he makes an effort then he will be active in love in accordance with the instructions, and then he will also receive the knowledge which will give him the inner conviction that his faith is not without reason.... And as soon as he is convinced of this, it will be easy for him to live according to God's will, for then he will know that life does not end with the death of the body, and this certainty will let him live and strive consciously, this certainty will fill him with strength and joy.... He does not fear death, he does not fear responsibility, for his thoughts and aspirations are always turned towards God and full of hope that one day his soul will attain the vision of God, that it will live in unlimited bliss and will no longer be eternally separated from the one Whom it recognizes and to Whom it has united itself through loving activity....

Reconnaître – la foi – le savoir – l'amour

La vie terrestre de l'individu est déterminante pour la Vie dans l'Éternité. Cette connaissance fait aussi vivre l'homme en connaissance de cause, il s’efforcera de mener un chemin de vie selon la Volonté de Dieu pour conquérir la Vie éternelle. Mais cette connaissance manque à la majorité des hommes, parce qu'ils peuvent arriver au juste savoir seulement à travers l'amour et à eux il manque la volonté pour la foi dans une vie après la mort, autrement même sans savoir ils tendraient à la Vie éternelle. L'homme croyant n'en doute pas, bien que ne puisse pas lui être démontré ce qui est enseigné sur la Vie dans l'Éternité ; mais il dispose de toute façon sa vie terrestre selon sa foi. L'homme qui est arrivé à la connaissance à travers l'amour n'a pas besoin de preuve, parce que le savoir conquis à travers une activité d'amour est pour lui une preuve suffisante. Et donc maintenant il tend consciemment à la Vie éternelle. Il cherche à se former selon la Volonté divine, pour pouvoir être près de Dieu après sa mort, ce qui signifie la Vie pour l'être. Mais si à l'homme il manque toute foi dans la continuité de la vie, alors il vit sur la Terre seulement pour ce monde, il ne s'occupe pas de la Volonté divine, il ne travaille pas sur lui, c'est-à-dire sur son âme, il s'aimera seulement lui-même et laissera inaperçu le Commandement de l'amour pour le prochain, il restera sans savoir et donc il n'exploitera pas la vie terrestre pour le salut de son âme. Et à la fin de sa vie il reconnaîtra sa course à vide et passera dans le Royaume de l'au-delà spirituellement mort, parce qu'il a employé la vie terrestre seulement pour son bien-être corporel. Le corps passe et avec lui aussi tout ce à quoi il tend, les biens et les joies terrestres. L'homme n’emporte avec lui dans le Royaume spirituel rien de ce qui lui est cher sur la Terre, seulement son âme et celle-ci est dans un état extrêmement insuffisant, sans force et sans vie, parce qu'à l'âme il ne peut fleurir aucune autre Vie que celle que l'homme lui a préparée sur la Terre. Et donc l'homme doit croire, c'est-à-dire qu’il doit lui arriver des enseignements sur sa tâche terrestre et sur les conséquences de l’accomplissement ou du non-accomplissement de cette tâche. Et selon celle-ci il doit former sa vie terrestre. S’il s’y efforce, alors par rapport aux enseignements il sera actif dans l'amour et alors il lui arrivera le savoir qui la procurera maintenant la conviction intérieure que sa foi n'est pas sans base. Et lorsqu’il en est convaincu, il lui sera facile vivre selon la Volonté de Dieu, parce qu'alors il sait que la vie n'est pas finie après la mort du corps, et cette certitude le fait vivre et tendre en connaissance de cause. Cette certitude lui apporte la Force et la joie. Il ne craint pas la mort, il ne craint pas la responsabilité, parce que ses pensées et sa tendance sont toujours tournées vers Dieu et il est rempli d'espoir que son âme arrivera un jour à la contemplation de Dieu, qu’il vivra dans une Béatitude illimitée et qu’il ne sera plus séparé dans l’éternité de Celui qu’il reconnaît et avec lequel il s'est uni par une activité dans l'amour.
