And lead us through the temptation....
You should always pray.... And lead us through the temptation.... when the world tries to discourage you from your spiritual striving and you are at risk of succumbing to its attractions. Since this temptation comes upon you in order to strengthen your will, you will always be subject to this temptation in order to demonstrate your will and you will always be successful if you take refuge in God’s protection, if you call upon Him for the strength to resist. Time and again the opponent will attempt to alienate you from God, and his ways of doing so are dangerous, because they appeal to people’s senses and therefore the soul will always have to fight in order to resist him. Nevertheless, God’s help is assured to you if you confide in Him and appeal for His guidance....

Und führe uns {nicht} in (der) Versuchung....
Und führe uns {nicht} in (der) Versuchung.... so sollt ihr immer beten, wenn euch die Welt von eurem geistigen Streben abzubringen droht und ihr in Gefahr seid, ihren Reizen zu verfallen. Denn es ist dies eine Versuchung, die über euch kommt, um euren Willen zu stärken, es ist eine Versuchung, der ihr immer ausgesetzt seid, weil euer Widerstand erprobt werden soll, und die ihr aber stets bestehen werdet, so ihr euch unter Gottes Schutz flüchtet, so ihr Ihn anrufet um Kraft zum Widerstand. Es suchet der Widersacher, euch immer wieder Gott zu entfremden, und seine Mittel sind gefährlich, denn sie sind den Sinnen des Menschen zusagend, und darum erfordert es immer einen Kampf der Seele, ihm zu widerstehen. Doch Gottes Hilfe ist euch gewiß, so ihr euch Ihm anvertraut und um Seine Führung bittet....
