Test of the heart necessary to recognize the gifts.... free will....

Every spiritual gift triggers happiness as soon as it is recognized as such. And this judgement must be made by the heart, in association with the intellect, but not by the intellect alone. Consequently, the will to reject must not resist the heart and grant the intellect alone the right to judge. Then the effect of strength will never be felt, for it does not tolerate resistance, i.e. the strength becomes ineffective where it is opposed. God's love does not compel, and compulsion would be any proof. But it would be proof if the divine gift would always and in all cases trigger a feeling of happiness, even if the human being is not willing to acknowledge it. This feeling would then force him to accept the gifts from above, and thus no human being would then stand outside of their working, which would mean that a change in people's thinking would result in their higher development in a short time, yet always compulsorily, thus without their own will. Such higher development would not correspond to God's wisdom, and therefore the human being will not feel any effect in himself who only lets his intellect become active where his heart should carry out an examination. But he will lose a great grace, a grace which could promote him very quickly if he let it take effect in himself. Therefore it is very difficult to persuade people to accept the divine word as long as they do not have the will to believe that God is the giver of it, thus as long as they doubt such activity on God's part. The mere assumption that God could express Himself in an extraordinary way would weaken the will to reject, and he would examine it impartially and thus let his heart speak, which truly advises him correctly. For the strength from God would touch the heart so beneficently that it would recognize the divine origin by it and accept it unconditionally. The human being is completely free to decide how he will respond to the gift offered to him from the spiritual kingdom. All compulsion of will is eliminated, and therefore the gift of eloquence will also be reduced to an unwilling person so that the human being will not be influenced against his will, for God in His love certainly offers Himself but does not impose Himself. The conveyance of His word to earth is in any case an act of grace which humanity does not deserve, since only rarely does a person have the will to establish such an intimate connection with God that the strength from God can flow over to him and that.... the word of God.... can only be offered where it is desired. Yet God is satisfied with the will of one person who desires the truth in order to pass it on to those who are in need of it. And thus humanity is given a delicious gift and does not recognize it.... It does not make use of a gift which comes to it undeservedly, it does not take hold of the father's hand Who seeks to snatch it from darkness.... it hesitates where it should accept immediately in order to make use of every day, in order to mature in realization, in order to make the word of God its guiding principle for its earthly life. The gifts of grace will increase in the last days but the human being's freedom of will will always be respected, thus no gift will ever appear such that the human being will be determined to acknowledge it as divine. Anyone who opens himself to the gift of grace, who in profound faith in God does not deny its significance for spiritual development, will feel profound happiness, yet anyone who does not believe such an effect of God's love to be possible because he is unbelieving or only calls a dead faith his own will remain empty and unimpressed. And therefore only individuals will feel the effect of the gift of grace and mature in their soul because they are of good will....

Esaminare il cuore è necessario per riconoscere i Doni - La libera volontà

Ogni Dono spirituale fa scaturire la felicità, appena viene riconosciuto come tale. Ed il cuore deve emettere questo giudizio in unione con l’intelletto, ma non l’intelletto da solo. Di conseguenza la volontà di rifiuto non deve impedire il cuore ed assegnare solo all’intelletto il diritto di giudicare. Allora non si sentirà mai un effetto di Forza, perché questa non tollera nessuna resistenza, cioè la Forza diventa inefficace, dove le viene opposta resistenza. L’Amore di Dio non costringe ed ogni dimostrazione sarebbe costrizione. Ma è sempre ed in tutti i casi una costrizione, se il Dono di Dio facesse scaturire la sensazione di felicità, anche quando l’uomo non è volenteroso di riconoscerlo. Questa sensazione lo costringerebbe poi all’accettazione di Doni dall’Alto e quindi nessun uomo starebbe al di fuori del Suo Agire, che significherebbe che avrebbe per conseguenza in breve tempo un cambiamento del pensare degli uomini, ma sempre per costrizione, quindi senza propria volontà. Un tale sviluppo verso l’Alto non corrisponderebbe alla Sapienza di Dio e perciò l’uomo che fa diventare attivo solo il suo intelletto, non sentirebbe su di sé nessun effetto, dove il suo cuore dovrebbe eseguire un esame. Ma perde una grande Grazia, una Grazia che lo potrebbe promuovere rapidamente, se la lasciasse diventare attiva su di sé. Perciò è molto difficile muovere gli uomini all’accettazione della Parola divina, finché non hanno la volontà di considerare possibile Dio come il Donatore di questa, finché dubitano quindi di un tale Agire di Dio. Già l’accettazione che Dio Si potesse manifestare in modo straordinario, indebolirebbe la volontà di rifiuto ed esaminerebbe senza pregiudizio e quindi lascerebbe parlare il suo cuore che lo consiglia veramente bene. Perché la Forza di Dio toccherebbe benevolmente il cuore che in ciò riconoscerebbe l’Origine divina e l’accetterebbe incondizionatamente. All’uomo è lasciato del tutto libero come si predispone verso il Dono che gli viene offerto dal Regno spirituale. Viene esclusa ogni costrizione di volontà e perciò il Dono dell’eloquenza viene anche diminuita ad un uomo di malavoglia, affinché non sia influenzato contro la sua volontà, perché Dio nel Suo Amore Si offre bensì, ma non Si impone. L’apporto della Sua Parola sulla Terra è senz’altro un Atto di Grazia che l’umanità non merita, dato che solo raramente un uomo ha la volontà di stabilire il contatto con Dio così intimamente che la Forza da Dio possa affluire su di lui e questa Parola di Dio essere offerta solamente dov’è desiderata. Ma Dio Si accontenta della volontà di una persona che desidera la Verità per guidarla oltre a coloro che sono nella miseria dell’anima. E così l’umanità viene provveduta con un Dono delizioso e non lo riconosce. Non fa nessun uso di un Regalo che le giunge immeritatamente, non afferra la Mano del Padre il Quale cerca di strapparla dall’oscurità, indugia dove dovrebbe accettare subito per sfruttare ogni giorno per maturare nella conoscenza, per fare della Parola di Dio la linea di condotta per la sua vita terrena. Nel tempo della fine aumenteranno i Doni di Grazia, ma viene sempre preservata la libertà della volontà degli uomini, quindi un Dono non si manifesterà mai in modo che l’uomo ne venga determinato a riconoscerlo come divino. Sentirà una profonda felicità colui che si apre al Dono di Grazia, che nella profonda fede in Dio non gli nega l’importanza che ha per lo sviluppo spirituale, ma rimarrà vuoto e non impressionato colui che non considera possibile un tale Agire dell’Amore di Dio, perché è miscredente oppure chiama sua propria una fede morta. E perciò solo dei singoli percepiranno l’effetto del Dono di Grazia e maturano nella loro anima, perché sono di buona volontà.
