Overcoming mistakes and shortcomings.... struggle and victory....

No spiritual progress can be made if a person does not consciously work on himself, i.e. strive with all his strength to become perfect. He is indeed weak and will not be able to rid himself of his shortcomings and faults by his own efforts. However, he must first recognize himself and then, recognizing his faults and weaknesses, request the necessary strength from God to overcome them. He must not allow himself to be driven without will, he must not remain inactive where he is to muster the strength of resistance that will make him victorious over his weaknesses and shortcomings. This is the battle without which no human being can reach the heights, this is spiritual progress, that the human being conquers himself, that he successfully works on himself, that he changes and discards the faults which stamp him as an imperfect being. For for this purpose he goes his last earthly life path in free will, that he fights against all bad instincts which he has brought with him into his last embodiment, that he strives upwards, towards Godlikeness. And for this purpose he was given the intellect, the gift of cognition, so that he can account to himself to what extent his nature, his actions and thoughts correspond to God's will. He should criticize himself strictly and without embellishment, he should do everything that is beneficial to his soul, and this includes inner reflection on his worth and unworthiness; he must try to shape himself with his eyes turned towards God in order to become an image of God, and he must know that a person's faults and shortcomings are obstacles to coming close to God. Consequently, if he aspires to God, he must first eliminate these faults.... and, recognizing his weakness, he must sincerely call upon God for help, he must request strength for his work of transformation, and he must want to become like God, to discard everything ungodly and gain victory over all weaknesses and faults. God respects his sincere will and He will also give him the necessary strength and enlighten him as to how he should use this strength in order to achieve success, to progress in his development, to mature his soul and to emerge victorious over himself....

Superando los errores y carencias... Lucha y victoria...

No se puede notar ningún progreso espiritual si el ser humano no trabaja conscientemente sobre sí mismo, es decir, esforzarse con todas las fuerzas para llegar a ser perfecto. Es cierto que es débil y por su propia fuerza no es capaz de deshacerse de sus defectos. Sin embargo, primero debe conocerse a sí mismo y luego, al reconocer sus errores y debilidades, pedir a Dios la fuerza necesaria para superarlos. No debe dejar llevarse sin voluntad, no debe permanecer inactivo donde debe reunir la fuerza de resistencia que le permita triunfar sobre sus debilidades y defectos.

Esta es la lucha sin la cual ningún ser humano llega a la cima, es esto progreso espiritual que el hombre se venza a sí mismo, que trabaje sobre sí mismo con éxito, que cambie y descarte los errores que lo marcan como un ser imperfecto. Por ello, recorre su último camino de vida en la tierra por su propia voluntad, para que luche contra todos los malos impulsos, que trajo consigo en su última encarnación, que se esfuerza hacia arriba, hacia la semejanza de Dios. Y para esto le fue dado el intelecto, el don discernimiento, para que pueda darse cuenta el mismo hasta qué punto su naturaleza, sus pensamientos y sus acciones corresponden a la voluntad de Dios.

Debe criticarse a sí mismo estrictamente y sin eufemismos, debe hacer todo lo que traiga salvación a su alma, y esto incluye la contemplación interior sobre su valor o falta de valor; debe buscar de formarse a sí mismo con la mirada dirigida hacia Dios para llegar a ser una imagen de Dios, y debe saber que los errores y las carencias de una persona son obstáculos para acercarse a Dios. En consecuencia, si se esfuerza por Dios, primero debe eliminar estos errores... y, reconociendo su debilidad, debe apelar sinceramente a Dios en busca de ayuda, debe pedir fuerza para su obra de transformación, y debe querer llegar a ser como Dios, que deje a un lado todo lo impío y obtenga la victoria sobre todas las debilidades y errores.

Dios respeta esta ferviente voluntad suya, y también le da la fuerza necesaria y le da la explicación, de cómo debe usar esta fuerza para lograr el éxito, para seguir progresando en el desarrollo, para madurar en su alma y salir como vencedor sobre sí mismo...
