Regression.... spiritual and earthly decay....

The fact that humanity has regressed is evident from the fact that it takes no offence at the extent of unkindness which characterizes the present time. Hardly that it even takes notice of it, because as long as people are not affected themselves they only take cursory notice, but never take an open stand against it. And this does not testify to love for fellow human beings, on the contrary, it is proof of a regression which needs no other evidence. Love should be striven for on earth and precisely the opposite is the case.... people outdo each other in cruelty, which can soon no longer be surpassed. And if this state is not to extend to the whole of humanity, then God Himself must put a stop to it before everything is destroyed by unkindness. And this period of time will soon come when the old will fall. The earthly destructions, i.e. the destructions caused by human will, bear witness to people's disinherited state, and it is difficult to believe that these people could still convert, for they have already fallen too deeply into the adversary's nets. Only deep prayer to God provides these souls with the necessary strength, and with good will they can still free themselves in the last hour. And in this time of need God sends out His messengers to strengthen the souls, who convey the word of God to people, admonish them time and again to love and show them the consequences of the right as well as the wrong way of life. As long as they have not yet completely fallen prey to the adversary, they will heed this word, which can also be conveyed to them mentally. They will learn to detest their fellow human beings' lack of love, they will endeavour to cultivate love themselves and thereby also be educated to become knowledgeable creatures.... for God needs servants on earth and the flock of His fighters is truly not large.... And yet God allows people's destructions, He allows them to suffer unspeakably, to have all possessions destroyed or taken away from them, because these destructions will have an indescribable effect and are a better means of education than the divine word is if it is not received with a heart willing to love. For man respects such destructions, but not always the divine word. For even the unkindness of people can still be used by God as a means of education, so that they abhor the behaviour of their fellow human beings and endeavour to live differently themselves, and this is already a step towards improvement. Only one thing can still save people from spiritual decline, that they recognize themselves in the mirror of humanity's great injustice, that they seriously strive for a change and direct their thoughts towards the actual purpose on earth and towards their end.... that they think of life after death and commend themselves to their creator by recognizing their own weakness.... Then God will have mercy on them and guide them through the confusion of time, He will give them all help and make them receptive for His word, which will be offered to them time and again during the last days so that they will gain realization. For there is only a short time of grace left which has to be utilized. Yet only a few will find the path to God, for heartlessness has taken over and this is the surest sign of the end, of spiritual and earthly decline....

Rückentwicklung.... Geistiger und irdischer Verfall....

Daß sich die Menschheit rückentwickelt hat, geht daraus hervor, daß sie keinen Anstoß nimmt an dem Ausmaß der Lieblosigkeit, die die jetzige Zeit kennzeichnet. Kaum, daß sie solche überhaupt beachtet, denn solange die Menschen nicht selbst betroffen sind, nehmen sie nur flüchtig Kenntnis, niemals aber offene Stellung dagegen. Und es zeugt dies nicht von Liebe zu den Mitmenschen, es ist dies im Gegenteil der Beweis einer Rückentwicklung, die keine anderen Beweise nötig hat. Die Liebe soll auf Erden angestrebt werden, und gerade das Gegenteil ist der Fall.... die Menschen überbieten sich an Grausamkeiten, die bald nicht mehr übertroffen werden können. Und soll dieser Zustand sich nicht auf die gesamte Menschheit erstrecken, dann muß Gott Selbst einen Riegel vorschieben, bevor durch die Lieblosigkeit alles zerstört wird. Und dieser Zeitabschnitt ist bald gekommen, wo das Alte stürzen wird. Die irdischen Zerstörungen, d.h. die durch menschlichen Willen hervorgerufenen Zerstörungen, geben Zeugnis von der entgeisteten Verfassung der Menschen, und es ist schwer zu glauben, daß jene Menschen sich noch bekehren könnten, denn sie sind schon zu tief in die Netze des Widersachers geraten. Nur tiefes Gebet zu Gott führt diesen Seelen die nötige Kraft zu, und sie können sich bei gutem Willen noch in letzter Stunde frei machen. Und in dieser Not sendet Gott zur Kräftigung der Seelen Seine Boten aus, die den Menschen das Wort Gottes vermitteln, sie immer wieder zur Liebe ermahnen und ihnen die Folgen des rechten wie auch des verkehrten Lebenswandels vor Augen halten. Sowie sie noch nicht gänzlich dem Widersacher verfallen sind, werden sie dieses Wortes achten, das ihnen auch gedanklich vermittelt werden kann. Sie werden die Lieblosigkeit der Mitmenschen verabscheuen lernen, sie werden sich bemühen, ihrerseits die Liebe zu pflegen, und sie werden dadurch auch zu wissenden Geschöpfen herangebildet werden.... denn Gott benötigt Diener auf Erden, und die Schar Seiner Streiter ist wahrlich nicht groß.... Und dennoch läßt Gott die Zerstörungen von seiten der Menschen zu, Er läßt es zu, daß sie unsäglich leiden müssen, daß ihnen jeglicher Besitz zerstört oder genommen wird, weil diese Zerstörungen sich unnennbar auswirken werden und ein besseres Erziehungsmittel sind, als das göttliche Wort ist, so es nicht mit liebebereitem Herzen aufgenommen wird. Denn solcher Zerstörungen achtet der Mensch, nicht immer aber des göttlichen Wortes. Denn selbst die Lieblosigkeit der Menschen kann Gott noch als ein Erziehungsmittel wirken lassen, auf daß sie das Gebaren der Mitmenschen verabscheuen und selbst bemüht sind, anders zu leben, und dies schon ein Schritt zur Besserung ist. Nur eins kann die Menschen noch retten vor dem geistigen Verfall, daß sie sich selbst erkennen im Spiegel der großen Ungerechtigkeit der Menschheit, daß sie eine Wandlung ernsthaft anstreben und ihre Gedanken auf den eigentlichen Erdenzweck lenken und auf ihr Ende.... daß sie des Lebens nach dem Tode gedenken und sich ihrem Schöpfer empfehlen im Erkennen ihrer eigenen Schwäche.... Dann wird Gott Sich erbarmen und sie durch die Wirrnisse der Zeit hindurchführen, Er wird ihnen jegliche Hilfe zuwenden und sie aufnahmefähig machen für Sein Wort, das ihnen in der letzten Zeit immer wieder geboten wird, auf daß sie zur Erkenntnis kommen. Denn es ist nur noch eine kurze Gnadenzeit, die ausgenützt werden muß. Doch wenige nur werden den Weg zu Gott finden, denn die Lieblosigkeit hat überhand genommen, und es ist dies das sicherste Zeichen des Endes, des geistigen und irdischen Verfalls....
