Prayer in spirit and in truth....

Every petition reaches the ear of the heavenly father if it is sent to Him in spirit and in truth. In other words, every thought must be felt in the heart, the spirit must speak to the spirit.... the spiritual spark in man must rise up to God, to the father, from Whom it has taken its origin. Prayer must not just be a mumbling of lips, it must rise up from the heart to God in all truthfulness, without falsehood and without pretence, simply and humbly.... This is a prayer in spirit and in truth, which God will answer at any time. A prayer can consist of beautiful words, and yet it can go unheard by the ear of the father in heaven because it lacks any intimacy, because it is only an empty form without deep feeling of the heart. And such a prayer is worthless before God, just as everything is worthless before God that is merely form without inner life. As long as the heart is not involved, the spirit in man knows nothing of it and therefore also seeks no connection with the divine spirit, to whom the prayer should be directed, even though he tries to feign a connection with God through words. He thinks differently, as he speaks, and acts differently, as he thinks.... And that is why his prayer is not true, it is not what it should be before God.... a simple, deep, heartfelt plea that is assured of being heard. And that is why God demands that the human being should withdraw into his closet when he wants to pray.... that he should forget everything around him in order to dialogue only with the father in heaven. If no external impressions distract the human being he will be able to connect deeply with God, and then he will present his request to the father in heaven without inhibition and yet in all humility and confidence, he will ask Him in a simple way, he will speak to Him reverently and yet full of trust, he will pray to Him in spirit and in truth, just as the heavenly father wants to be worshipped in order to be able to fulfil all His children's requests, as He has promised....

Oração em espírito e em verdade....

Toda súplica chega aos ouvidos do Pai celestial, se for enviada a Ele em espírito e em verdade. Isto é, cada pensamento deve ser sentido no coração, o espírito deve falar com o espírito.... A centelha espiritual no ser humano deve elevar-se a Deus, ao Pai de Quem se originou. A oração não deve ser apenas um murmúrio dos lábios, ela deve subir do coração para Deus em toda a verdade, sem falsidade e sem fingimento, simples e humildemente.... Esta é uma oração em espírito e em verdade, que Deus ouvirá a qualquer momento. Uma oração pode consistir em belas palavras e, no entanto, não ser ouvida ao ouvido do Pai do Céu, porque lhe falta toda a intimidade, porque é apenas uma forma vazia, sem o sentimento profundo do coração. E tal oração é inútil diante de Deus, assim como tudo é inútil diante de Deus, que é apenas forma sem vida interior. Enquanto o coração não estiver envolvido, o espírito no ser humano nada sabe sobre isso e, portanto, não busca contato com o espírito divino a quem a oração deve se aplicar, ainda que tente fingir contato com Deus através de palavras. Ele pensa diferente quando fala e age de forma diferente quando pensa..... E, portanto, a sua oração não é verdadeira, não é o que deveria ser perante Deus.... uma súplica simples, sincera, íntima, que é assegurada de ser ouvida. E é por isso que Deus exige que o ser humano se retire para o seu pequeno quarto se quiser orar.... para que esqueça tudo à sua volta a fim de conversar apenas com o Pai que está nos céus. Se nenhuma impressão externa distrair o ser humano, ele será capaz de se unir profundamente a Deus, e então ele apresentará seu pedido ao Pai do céu sem inibição e ainda assim, com toda humildade e confiança, ele lhe pedirá de uma maneira simples, falará com Ele reverentemente e ainda cheio de confiança, orará a Ele em espírito e em verdade, assim como o Pai do céu quer ser adorado para poder atender a todos os pedidos dos Seus filhos, como Ele prometeu...._>Amém
