Passing on the spiritual food.... charity....

Spiritual nourishment gives the human being the necessary strength to resist evil and to work on his soul. And therefore he need not fear that he might ever lack strength if he needs it, that is, if he has the will for spiritual ascent. The will will always also earn him the strength which can be supplied to the human being through the reception of the divine word. His spiritual hunger will be satisfied at all times and he will no longer want to miss the nourishment of the soul once he has been fed with it. For it is a divine gift, it is the expression of His love, it is the supply of strength and vigour which, once he has received it, the human being will be deprived of. Yet God does not arbitrarily withdraw this divine gift from him, and thus the soul's nourishment remains constant as long as the human being himself does not disregard the gift of grace. Now, however, love dictates that he should also offer his fellow human being spiritual nourishment, to feed him likewise, so to speak, so that he can cover the earthly path in accordance with God's will. Only then will the human being prove himself worthy of God's love. love should impel the human being to give to his fellow human being what has become indispensable to him; he should pass on the strength and grace in the realization that without spiritual nourishment his fellow human being will have to starve and that God allows the gift of grace to reach earth for all people.... For people must constantly wrestle with evil forces and need strengthening in order to be able to fight through their battle. The spiritual food has been offered to man by God out of love, and it should be passed on to fellow human beings with the same love, only then will the recipient of God's divine gift of grace make himself worthy and fulfil the first commandment to love his neighbour as himself....

영의 양식을 전하는 일. 이웃사랑.

영의 양식은 인간에게 악에 대항하고, 자신의 혼에 대한 작업을 하는 데 필요한 힘을 준다. 그러므로 그는 힘이 필요한 경우, 다시 말해 영적으로 성장하려는 의지가 있다면, 힘이 부족할 수 있게 될까 봐 두려워할 필요가 없다. 의지가 항상 하나님의 말씀을 영접함으로 사람에게 공급될 수 있는 힘을 그에게 줄 것이다. 그는 언제든지 영적인 굶주림을 해결할 수 있게 될 것이다. 그가 한번 영식을 섭취하면, 그는 더 이상 혼의 양식을 놓치기를 원하지 않게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 이런 양식은 하나님의 선물이고, 하나님의 사랑의 표현이고, 힘과 강함을 주고, 양식을 받지 못하는 사람에게 혼의 가난함을 의미하기 때문이다. 그러나 하나님은 임의로 사람에게서 신적인 선물을 주는 일을 거부하지 않는다. 따라서 사람 자신이 은혜의 선물을 무시하지 않는 한, 혼의 양식은 끊임없이 제공된다.

그러나 사랑이 이제 이웃 사람에게 영의 양식을 제공하고, 이웃사람도 마찬가지로 먹게 해서, 이웃사람이 하나님의 뜻대로 이 땅의 길을 갈 수 있게 하도록 명한다. 그러면 사람이 비로소 하나님의 사랑을 받기에 합당함이 증명이 된다. 사랑이 사람이 자신에게 없어서는 안되는 것이 되어버린 같은 것을 이웃사람에게 주도록 인도해야 한다. 그는 영의 양식이 없이는 이웃 사람이 고통을 겪어야만 하고, 하나님이 모든 사람을 위해 은혜의 선물을 이 땅에 주신다는 깨달음 가운데 힘과 은혜를 전해야 한다.

왜냐면 사람들은 끊임없이 악한 세력들과 싸워야만 하고, 자신들의 싸움을 끝까지 싸우기 위해 강하게 되는 일이 필요하기 때문이다. 영의 양식이 하나님의 사랑으로 인간에게 제공이 된다. 영의 양식을 같은 사랑으로 이웃 사람에게 전해줘야 한다. 그러면 비로소 받는 사람이 자신을 하나님의 선물을 받기에 합당하게 만들고, 그가 자신처럼 이웃을 사랑하라는 첫 번째 계명을 성취시킨다.
