"Fear not those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul...."

Do not be afraid of those who want to kill the body but cannot kill the soul, for they cannot harm you spiritually but only oppress the body. But the body passes away and if the soul in it belongs to God, it will awaken to eternal life after the death of the body, for only then will its actual life come. And if you bear this in mind, you will also be the right fighters for God, you will confess His name before all the world and not fearfully and despondently pronounce the name of the lord. If your soul is dedicated to God, the world can calmly take your body, it can threaten you with death, and this will not affect you, as the death of the body brings you closer to eternal bliss. But if you do not want to lose your earthly life, you must surrender your soul and betray the lord Jesus Christ.... But earthly power cannot prolong your life by one day if God's will has decided otherwise. For He is the lord over life and death, He is the one to Whom everything must be subject in heaven and on earth, and if it pleases Him, He will end life, but He will not let a hair of His head be touched by those who still need His will on earth. Earthly power can do nothing if the divine will does not allow it, but the divine will can accomplish everything, and thus He can also protect those people who surrender to Him. And let this comfort you and fill you with confidence that you are protected by the one Who needs you to work for Him, His will can prevent the earthly power from carrying out what it plans.... but the earthly power can never influence God's will, and thus it is powerless if God opposes it with His power.... Therefore do not fear but believe.... be fearless and determined when it comes to spreading the divine word, for the lord will protect your body as well as your soul until your mission on earth is fulfilled....

"Fürchtet nicht, die den Leib töten, aber die Seele nicht töten können...."

Fürchtet euch nicht vor denen, die den Leib töten wollen, doch die Seele nicht töten können, denn diese können euch keinen geistigen Schaden zufügen, sondern nur den Körper bedrängen. Der Körper aber vergeht, und so die Seele darin Gott angehört, wird sie nach des Leibes Tode zum ewigen Leben erwachen, denn dann kommt erst ihr eigentliches Leben. Und so ihr dies bedenket, werdet ihr auch die rechten Streiter sein für Gott, ihr werdet Seinen Namen bekennen vor aller Welt und nicht furchtsam und verzagt den Namen des Herrn aussprechen. Gebet eure Seele Gott zu eigen, so kann die Welt ruhig den Körper euch nehmen, sie kann euch mit dem Tode bedrohen, und es wird euch dies nicht berühren, bringt euch doch der Leibestod der ewigen Glückseligkeit näher. So ihr aber das irdische Leben nicht verlieren wollt, müsset ihr eure Seele hingeben und den Herrn Jesus Christus verraten.... Die irdische Macht aber kann euch nicht das Leben um einen Tag verlängern, so Gottes Wille es anders beschlossen hat. Denn Er ist der Herr über Leben und Tod, Er ist, Dem alles untertan sein muß im Himmel und auf Erden, und wenn es Ihm gefällt, so beendet Er das Leben, nicht aber, daß Er ein Haar krümmen läßt denen, die Sein Wille noch auf Erden benötigt. Nichts vermag die irdische Gewalt, wenn es der göttliche Wille nicht zuläßt, alles aber kann der göttliche Wille zuwege bringen, und also kann Er auch die Menschen schützen, die sich Ihm hingeben. Und dies sei euch Trost und erfülle euch mit Zuversicht, daß ihr im Schutze Dessen steht, Der euch benötigt zum Wirken für Ihn, Sein Wille kann die irdische Macht hindern, auszuführen, was sie plant.... die irdische Macht aber kann nimmermehr auf den Willen Gottes einwirken, und folglich ist sie machtlos, so Gott Seine Macht dagegensetzt.... Darum banget nicht, sondern glaubet.... seid furchtlos und entschlossen, wenn es gilt, das göttliche Wort zu verbreiten, denn euren Leib schützet der Herr zugleich mit der Seele, bis eure Mission erfüllt ist auf Erden....
