Mediation of the divine word act of mercy....

God's extraordinary activity of imparting His word to people testifies to His infinite love for His living creations, for it is an act of greatest mercy since humanity is already in a state which excludes the direct attention of His word. As soon as people live according to His will and are therefore turned towards God they are also able to hear His word, for this is the prerequisite for receiving the divine word, that the human being consciously devotes himself to Him. However, humanity is currently so distant from God that it could never hear the voice of God. The distance from it to God is so great that such a connection can no longer be established which requires the ability to hear the divine word. The spiritual state has sunk so extraordinarily low that it would exclude such an extraordinary work if God's love did not want to have mercy in order to bring the last help to mankind. And for this purpose He uses a mediator whose will is turned towards Him and who likewise wants to help his fellow human beings.... For the will turned towards God also gives him the realization of the spiritual plight of his fellow human beings. And thus God is obviously at work and forcefully demonstrates to humanity what hardship awaits them if they do not change and endeavour to come closer to Him. For His love for His creatures is boundless.... He seeks to bring them salvation, He seeks to clearly and understandably reproach them with their purpose of life on earth and to determine them to avoid the illusory splendour of worldly life and to acquire the true light of the soul as long as they dwell on earth.... And thus He gives them His word against their will and therefore also has to leave people enough freedom of choice to be able to reject it, which is why the word has to be offered in a form which does not turn the acceptance of it into compulsion. His immense love would otherwise allow the word to reach every individual in order to save their soul, but this is impossible due to the human being's freedom of will, otherwise God would overturn His own laws and act against Himself.... A person's love, however, can build a bridge from humanity to God, and every person is free to enter this bridge and familiarize himself with the divine word. And on this bridge God Himself descends to earth and reveals Himself to humanity, i.e., He gives it knowledge of Himself, His reign and activity and the destiny of every individual person, his beginning and his goal. And the knowledge of this is such an incomprehensible grace, for it makes it unspeakably easier for people to work on themselves, which they should tackle of their own accord if they want to become perfect and enter the kingdom of peace.... divine love descends Itself and tries to bring Itself closer to humanity, It comes to meet it even though it has already decided in favour of God's adversary through its desire for the world and its goods and thereby makes itself unworthy of God's love.... Yet His love never ceases and remains eternally turned towards that which has emerged from Him....

Vermittlung des göttlichen Wortes Akt der Barmherzigkeit....

Das außergewöhnliche Wirken Gottes, den Menschen Sein Wort zu vermitteln, bezeugt Seine unendliche Liebe zu Seinen Geschöpfen, denn es ist ein Akt der größten Barmherzigkeit, da die Menschheit schon in einem Zustand ist, der die direkte Zuwendung Seines Wortes ausschließt. Sowie die Menschen leben nach Seinem Willen und also Gott zugewandt sind, sind sie auch fähig, Sein Wort zu vernehmen, denn dieses ist Voraussetzung zum Empfangen des göttlichen Wortes, daß der Mensch sich bewußt Ihm hingibt. Die Menschheit ist aber zur Zeit so gottfern, daß sie nimmermehr die Stimme Gottes vernehmen könnte. Der Abstand von ihr zu Gott ist so groß, daß eine solche Verbindung nicht mehr hergestellt werden kann, die das Vernehmenkönnen des göttlichen Wortes erfordert. Es ist der geistige Zustand so außerordentlich tief gesunken, daß er ein so außergewöhnliches Wirken ausschließen würde, wenn nicht die Liebe Gottes sich erbarmen möchte, um der Menschheit die letzte Hilfe zu bringen. Und Er bedient Sich dazu eines Mittlers, dessen Wille Ihm zugewandt ist und der gleichfalls hilfsbereit seinen Mitmenschen beistehen möchte.... Denn der Gott-zugewandte-Wille gibt auch ihm die Erkenntnis der geistigen Notlage seiner Mitmenschen. Und also wirket Gott offensichtlich und stellt der Menschheit eindringlich vor, welche Not sie erwartet, so sie sich nicht wandelt und Ihm näherzukommen trachtet. Denn Seine Liebe zu Seinen Geschöpfen ist grenzenlos.... Er suchet ihnen Rettung zu bringen, Er sucht ihnen klar und verständlich ihren Erdenlebenszweck vorzuhalten und sie zu bestimmen, den Scheinglanz des Weltlebens zu meiden und sich das wahre Licht der Seele zu erwerben, solange sie auf Erden weilen.... Und also gibt Er ihnen Sein Wort wider ihren Willen und muß daher auch den Menschen soviel Entscheidungsfreiheit lassen, es ablehnen zu können, weshalb das Wort in einer Form geboten werden muß, die das Annehmen dessen nicht zum Zwang werden läßt. Seine übergroße Liebe würde sonst das Wort jedem einzelnen zugehen lassen, um dessen Seele zu retten, doch der Willensfreiheit des Menschen wegen ist solches unmöglich, ansonsten Gott Seine eigenen Gesetze umstoßen und wider Sich Selbst handeln würde.... Die Liebe eines Menschen aber kann eine Brücke schlagen von der Menschheit zu Gott, und einem jeden Menschen steht es frei, diese Brücke zu betreten und sich mit dem göttlichen Wort vertraut zu machen. Und auf dieser Brücke steigt Gott Selbst zur Erde und offenbart Sich der Menschheit, d.h., Er gibt ihr Kenntnis von Sich Selbst, Seinem Walten und Wirken und der Bestimmung jedes einzelnen Menschen, seinem Anfang und seinem Ziel. Und das Wissen darum ist eine so unfaßbare Gnade, denn es erleichtert dem Menschen unsagbar die Arbeit an sich selbst, die er doch aus eigenem Antrieb in Angriff nehmen soll, will er vollkommen werden und in das Reich des Friedens eingehen.... Die göttliche Liebe steigt Selbst herab und sucht Sich der Menschheit näherzubringen, Sie kommt ihr entgegen, obgleich sie sich schon entschieden hat für den Gegner Gottes durch ihr Verlangen nach der Welt und deren Gütern und sich dadurch der Liebe Gottes unwürdig macht.... Doch Seine Liebe höret nimmer auf und bleibet ewig zugewandt dem, was aus Ihm hervorgegangen ist....
