God's will or permission.... free will....

God's will is decisive for every event in the world, even if it is caused by human will. Only what God wants or what He allows can happen or be carried out, and yet man is responsible for his will. God knows both about the will of man since eternity and also about the effect of it, and yet He does not prevent people from putting their will into action, but according to these deeds His will also intervenes so that the salvation of the soul can be promoted thereby. Earthly events usually also have an earthly effect, and the fact that God allows these earthly effects is often incomprehensible to people. But God's concern is for people's souls.... where these are in danger, He intervenes, but only in such a way that people's will nevertheless remains unaffected. He does not prevent them from carrying out their deeds, even if they are evil, i.e. only born out of unkindness. And this makes people doubt the existence of a God of love, wisdom and omnipotence. But a violent intervention will make them doubt this existence in exactly the same way, for as long as they do not realize that people's freedom of will may not be curtailed if they are to become what they are meant to be, they will not understand that God's intervention is only necessary for the sake of spiritual development, for once again they will only look at earthly events and their effect on earthly life.

(8.5.1942) But it is always divine will that everything that happens can somehow benefit the soul.... that therefore, although the body is in danger, the soul can remain unharmed or derive great spiritual advantages from it, depending on its will. God's love for His living creations is so great that He truly would not allow anything to happen which would hinder people's ascent upwards, which is the meaning and purpose of earthly life. But on the other hand He also allows the opposing power every opportunity to develop so that free will decides for itself. If this free will is turned towards evil, He will nevertheless not make the human being unfree because this would be contrary to divine order. However, in accordance with this will turned towards evil, He now allows what this will has caused to take effect. And the effects must indeed be extremely painful on earth if they are to result in spiritual progress, otherwise humanity would not learn to detest evil and would fall prey to this power more and more. The spiritual state of people is decisive as to whether and when God Himself intervenes and puts an end to the activity of the evil forces. If people's will turns to God, then the power of evil is broken and it finds no place where it can work successfully.... God does not hinder it, but people themselves can hinder it, and consequently they themselves, through their consent or rejection, promote or hinder what happens. Bad deeds can never be God's will, but they can only be carried out if His will does not oppose them.... And thus He allows that which is caused by people's own will so that they change their own will as a result and thus come closer to their actual goal, i.e. turn towards God. However, this does not exclude God Himself from intervening if He deems it necessary.... For even the activity of the evil power is subject to limits which it must not exceed.... But if the human will is still turned towards it, then the divine intervention will also have an extremely painful earthly effect on people, for once again it is the soul which is in danger and which is to be liberated by this intervention. Hence, if only world events and their effect on earthly life are taken into account, it will hardly be recognized by people that God's will is decisive, and consequently God will be rejected by those who do not grant earthly life a deeper meaning and purpose because they cannot recognize a wise and loving guidance which wants to achieve an approach to Himself through suffering and tribulation while respecting people's freedom of will....

La Volontà o la Concessione di Dio - La libera volontà

La Volontà di Dio è determinante per ogni avvenimento nel mondo, anche se ha per motivo la volontà umana. Solo ciò che Dio vuole e concede, può avvenire o essere eseguito e malgrado ciò l’uomo è responsabile per la sua volontà. Dio sà sia della volontà dell’uomo sin dall’Eternità ed anche dell’effetto della stessa e malgrado ciò, Egli non impedisce agli uomini di mettere in atto la loro volontà, ma rispetto a queste azioni interviene anche la Sua Volontà in modo che venga promossa la salvezza delle anime. L’avvenimento terreno ha quasi sempre anche un effetto terreno e che Dio permetta questi effetti terreni, non è ancora comprensibile agli uomini. Ma la Preoccupazione di Dio è rivolta alle anime degli uomini, Egli interviene dove queste sono in pericolo, ma anche sempre soltanto nel modo che la volontà rimanga comunque intoccata. Egli non impedisce loro di eseguire le loro azioni, benché siano cattive, cioè sono nate solo dal disamore. E questo fa dubitare gli uomini dell’Esistenza di un Dio dell’Amore, Sapienza ed Onnipotenza. Un Intervento violento però li fa dubitare proprio così di questa Esistenza, perché non riconoscono che la libertà della volontà non dev’essere tagliata agli uomini, che devono diventare ciò che è la loro destinazione, non comprenderanno nemmeno che l’Intervento di Dio è necessario solamente per lo sviluppo spirituale; perché nuovamente considereranno solamente l’avvenimento terreno ed il suo effetto sulla vita terrena. (08.05.1942) Ma è sempre la Volontà divina che tutto ciò che avviene può sempre essere in qualche modo di utilità per l’anima, che quindi, benché il corpo sia in pericolo, l’anima possa rimanere indenne oppure trarne grandi vantaggi spirituali, secondo la sua volontà. L’Amore di Dio per le Sue creature è così grande che Egli non lascerebbe avvenire davvero nulla che fosse d’impedimento per gli uomini nella risalita verso l’Alto, che è senso e scopo della vita terrena. Ma d’altra parte Egli lascia la possibilità di ogni sviluppo anche alla forza avversa, affinché la volontà stessa si decida. Se la libera volontà è rivolta al male, Egli non renderà l’uomo comunque non-libero, perché questo sarebbe contro l’Ordine divino. Ma rispetto a questa volontà rivolta al male. Egli concede ora ciò che ha indotto questa volontà di manifestarsi. E gli effetti terreni devono essere comunque estremamente di sofferenza, se devono avere per conseguenza un progresso spirituale, altrimenti l’umanità non impara ad aborrire il male e cadrebbe sempre di più a questo potere. Lo stato spirituale degli uomini è determinante, se e quando Dio Stesso interviene e mette fine all’agire delle forze cattive. Se la volontà degli uomini si rivolge a Dio, allora è spezzato il potere del maligno e non trova nessun luogo dove poter agire con successo. Dio non lo ostacola, ma gli uomini stessi lo possono ostacolare e di conseguenza loro stessi promuovono o impediscono ciò che avviene attraverso la loro approvazione o rifiuto. Le cattive azioni non possono mai essere la Volontà di Dio, ma possono essere eseguite solamente se la Sua Volontà non vi si oppone. E quindi Egli concede ciò che causa la volontà degli uomini stessi, affinché attraverso l’effetto loro stessi cambino la loro volontà e così si avvicinino alla loro vera meta, cioè rivolgersi a Dio. Ma questo non esclude che Dio Stesso intervenga quando lo ritiene necessario, perché anche all’agire del potere cattivo sono posti dei limiti che non deve oltrepassare. Ma se la volontà umana è ancora rivolta a lui, allora anche l’Intervento divino avrà terrenamente un effetto estremamente di sofferenza per gli uomini, perché è nuovamente l’anima che è in pericolo ed attraverso questo Intervento dev’essere liberata. Se viene considerato solo l’avvenimento mondiale ed il suo effetto sulla vita terrena, difficilmente verrà riconosciuto da parte degli uomini che la Volontà di Dio sia determinante e di conseguenza Dio verrà rifiutato da coloro che non ammettono alla vita terrena nessun senso e scopo più profondo, perché non possono riconoscere nessuna Guida saggia ed amorevole che vuole ottenere un avvicinamento a Sé attraverso la sofferenza e l’afflizione sotto l’osservanza della libertà della volontà degli uomini.
