Relationship of man to God as of child to father....

The relationship between man and God should be the same as the relationship between a child and its father. Then the child's love is the driving force to do what the father asks, and then the father can also consider his child as a loving father does. The child should come to the father in the most faithful trust and present his needs to him in the firm confidence that he will be helped, because a good father does not leave his child in need and misery and is always ready to help. This intimate relationship with God presupposes faith in a loving being, in Whose power it lies to avert all evil from man, and God blesses such faith by not leaving unfulfilled the prayer that is sent to Him in such faith. The more heartfelt the child's devotion to His father is, the more lovingly the father will take care of the child, for the human being has now established the original relationship of his own accord, of his own free will; he has fulfilled the purpose of earthly life by bridging the separation from God, as the original spirit from which he emerged, and by God's grace he has placed himself into a state which will result in his union with God as soon as he leaves earthly life. And this can only be achieved by consciously recognizing and voluntarily submitting to a power Which inclines Itself towards earthly people in fatherly love. The relationship between child and father must be established because this was the original relationship in which the being that emerged from God was free and unimaginably happy....

Verhältnis vom Menschen zu Gott wie vom Kind zum Vater....

Das Verhältnis vom Menschen zu Gott soll gleich sein dem Verhältnis des Kindes zum Vater. Dann ist die kindliche Liebe Triebkraft, das zu tun, was der Vater verlangt, und dann kann der Vater Sein Kind auch so bedenken, wie es ein liebender Vater tut. Im gläubigsten Vertrauen soll das Kind zum Vater kommen und Ihm seine Nöte vortragen in der festen Zuversicht, daß ihm geholfen werde, weil ein guter Vater sein Kind nicht in Not und Elend läßt und immer zur Hilfe bereit ist. Dieses innige Verhältnis zu Gott setzt den Glauben an ein liebevolles Wesen voraus, in Dessen Macht es liegt, alles Üble vom Menschen abzuwenden, und einen solchen Glauben segnet Gott, indem Er das Gebet nicht unerfüllt läßt, das in solchem Glauben zu Ihm gesandt wird. Je inniger die Hingabe des Kindes an Seinen Vater ist, desto liebevoller nimmt Sich der Vater des Kindes an, denn es hat der Mensch nun aus eigenem Antrieb, aus freiem Willen, das Urverhältnis hergestellt; er hat den Erdenlebenszweck erfüllt, indem er die Trennung von Gott, als dem Urgeist, aus dem er hervorgegangen ist, überbrückt hat und sich selbst durch die Gnade Gottes in einen Zustand versetzt, der ihm den Zusammenschluß mit Gott einträgt, sowie er das Erdenleben verläßt. Und es ist dies nur zu erreichen durch bewußtes Anerkennen und freiwilliges Unterwerfen einer Macht, die Sich in väterlicher Liebe den Erdenmenschen zuneigt. Es muß das Verhältnis vom Kind zum Vater hergestellt werden, weil dies das Urverhältnis war, in welchem das aus Gott hervorgegangene Wesen frei und unvorstellbar glücklich war....
