Times of need - times of grace....

Times of adversity are also times of grace, for God in His love constantly endeavours to bring salvation to people and uses all means to make Himself known to them so that they will find Him and be saved from death and ruin........ every suffering is a mercy because it is a means God uses to change people's thinking. God knocks on people's hearts, He brings Himself close to them and waits for them to call upon Him, to let Him into their hearts so that He can then continue to work with His grace and love. For God's love never ceases, it is not limited like human love, it is without end and is eternally only for His living creations, which are of Him and shall return to Him for their own happiness. The fact that people do not recognize this love is only the result of their state of being far from God, which blinds them to the divine. God takes this state into account and considers people accordingly, but He never leaves them without help, and everything He sends over them in order to lead them towards Himself are favours offered to them by His love in order to win them back forever. And as long as the human being has not become completely hardened and loveless, these favours are not ineffective either. But they must always leave the human being's free will untouched, i.e., all coercion must be eliminated, the human being must be free to want to let the grace have an effect on him, his will must not be determined in any way to lead a different way of life, otherwise the being would be unfree and this would eliminate the soul's higher development. And this is why suffering is tremendously beneficial, because it often causes the human being to turn to God of his own accord and thus utilize a grace which God's love offers him....

고난의 때 - 은혜의 때

고난의 때는 또한 은혜의 때이다. 왜냐하면 하나님이 자신의 사랑으로 사람들을 구원하기 위해 쉬지않고 애쓰고 있기 때문이다. 그는 모든 수단을 사용하여 사람들에게 자신을 알린다. 이로써 그들이 자신을 찾고, 죽음과 멸망으로부터 구원 받게 하기 위해서이다. 모든 고통은 은혜이다. 왜냐하면 모든 고통은 하나님이 사람의 생각을 바꾸기 위해 사용하는 수단이기 때문이다. 하나님이 사람들의 심장을 두드리고, 자신이 그들에게 가까이 다가가고, 그들이 자신을 부르기를 기다린다. 이로써 자신이 그들의 심장으로 들어가, 그들이 자신의 은혜과 사랑으로 계속 역사할 수 있게 되기를 원한다.

왜냐면 하나님의 사랑은 절대로 끝이 없기 때문이다. 하나님의 사랑은 인간의 사랑처럼 제한되어 있지 않고, 영원히 단지 자신에 의해 생성된, 그들의 행복을 위해 자신에 돌아와야 할,자신의 피조물들에게 향한 다. 사람들이 이런 사랑을 깨닫지 못한다는 사실은 단지 그들이 하나님과 멀리 떨어져있는 상태의 결과이다. 하나님은 이런 상태를 고려하고, 이에 합당하게 사람들을 돕는다. 그러나 하나님은 절대을 주지 않으며 그들을 버려두지 않고, 하나님 자신이 그들을 자신에게 인도하기 위해 일어나게 하는 모든 일은, 그들을 영원히 되찾기 위해, 하나님의 사랑이 그들에게 제공되는 은혜이다.

사람이 완전히 강팍해지고, 사랑이 없게 되면, 이런 은혜도 효과가 없다. 이런 은혜들은 항상 단지 인간의 자유의지에 개입을 하지 말아야만 한다. 다시 말해 모든 강제를 행하지 말아야만 하고, 은혜가 자신에게 역사하기를 원할 자유가 사람에게 있어야만 한다. 그의 의지가 절대로 다른 삶을 살도록 정함을 받아서는 안 된다. 그렇지 않으면 혼이 자유롭지 못하고, 혼이 더 높이 성장하는 일은 불가능하게 될 것이다. 그러므로 고난이 엄청난 유익을 준다. 왜냐면 사람이 고난을 통해 자신의 의지로 하나님께 향하고, 이로써 하나님의 사랑이 그에게 제공하는 은혜를 사용하기 때문이다.
