The spirit of lies and its instruments....

The spirit of lies rules the world, and anyone who desires the world and its goods is enslaved by this spirit of lies. For only there can he assert himself, only there will homage be paid to him by being listened to and affirmed. In contrast, the spirit of truth will only find admission among people who try to detach themselves from the world and its goods, who have no desire for them whatsoever but turn themselves and their thoughts towards divine things, who consider their actual purpose and affirm a spiritual life. That is where the lying spirit is denied access. For God Himself will grant his protection to these people, and He wrests them from the one who brings lies into the world. People who hold on to the world thereby profess their affiliation to the one to whom the world is his power, for they desire that which is still his share.... unredeemed matter.... which still shelters much of the evil spirit within itself. And since he wants to win the world entirely for himself he uses every opportunity to increase people's greed for matter, hence he presents himself in a desirable way.... He uses lies to do so, for the truth would enlighten people and make them lose the longing for earthly possessions. And thus he aims to intersperse every truth with error, he tries to lead people into erroneous thinking, he seeks to obscure their spirit, that is, to entangle it in earthly passions and cravings, so that the spirit within themselves is surrounded by the most dense layers and unable to offer the soul the slightest clarification. And he aims to pull down everything divine, stifle everything noble, obscure the truth, eradicate love, spread hatred and strife and gradually shape people such that they become like him; that they will adopt all those qualities which characterise evil.

The love for truth dwells only in very few people, and they despise the world. However, their goal is God, Who is the Truth, and they seek to obtain spiritual values which last for eternity. And thus they lift themselves above the world and the prince of lies has no more influence on them. And yet he wants to oppress them and to this end uses those who, on the surface, also strive for the truth, that is, who appear to look for truth but inwardly are devoted to the price of lies.... who love themselves and their life and try to make it as comfortable as possible, who live in the midst of the world and yet try to deny their connection with it.... who, without the inner urge to renounce the world, pretend to live a life of self-denial before the eyes of their fellow human beings and thus are fond of lies. These are used by the opponent as his instruments, by letting them speak under the cover of truth, as the prince of lies wants. And thus lies are mixed with truth, and humanity accepts everything that is presented as truth and yet is the greatest untruth, for it cannot recognise it because it doesn't desire the truth, and since the lie corresponds to their desire more it is accepted without hesitation. Yet the spirit of truth will establish itself as soon as people willingly separate themselves from matter.... as soon as they desire spiritual wealth and strive towards God.... And he will defeat the spirit of lies, for anyone who recognises the truth will stand up for it and try to spread it, and the lie will be displaced and with it the one who came into the world through the lie will be overcome....

El espíritu de las mentiras y sus herramientas....

El espíritu mentiroso reina sobre el mundo, y quien mueve el mundo y sus bienes está sujeto este espíritu de mentiras. Porque solo allí puede imponerse, solo allí será honrado, donde es escuchado y respondido afirmativamente. El espíritu de verdad, por otro lado, solo encontrará su entrada en aquellos hombres que intentan librarse del mundo y sus bienes, quienes no lo desean, sino que se dirigen con sus pensamientos a las cosas divinas, que se interesan por su destino final y afirman una vida espiritual.

Allí se niega el acceso al espíritu de mentiras. Porque Dios concede protección a estas personas, y las arrebata de la violencia de quienes traen las mentiras al mundo. Los hombres que están unidos al mundo confiesan su pertenencia a quien, que tiene su poder en el mundo, porque desean lo que sigue siendo su parte.... Materia no redimida.... Que todavía contiene mucho espíritu maligno. Y dado que quiere ganarse el mundo para sí mismo, aprovecha cada oportunidad para aumentar la codicia por la materia, para presentársela a ellos como deseable....

Él usa mentiras para hacer esto porque la verdad iluminaria a los hombres y los haría perder sus deseos por los bienes terrenales. Y entonces trata de entremezclar cada verdad con error, trata de guiar los hombres a un pensamiento equivocado, trata de nublar sus mentes, es decir, enredarlos en pasiones y deseos terrenales, que el espíritu en ellos está rodeado por las envolturas más densas y que no puede dar ninguna explicación al alma.

E intenta derribar todo lo divino, sofocar todo lo noble, empañar la verdad, exterminar el amor, sembrar odio e inquietud y formar a los hombres de tal manera para que con el tiempo se parezcan a él, que toman todas las propiedades que caracterizan el mal.

El amor a la verdad es inherente a muy pocos hombres, y son los que desprecian al mundo. Pero su objetivo es Dios, Quien es la verdad, y buscan obtener el bien espiritual que dura para la eternidad. Y entonces ellos mismos se elevan más allá del mundo, y el príncipe de las mentiras ya no tiene influencia sobre ellos. Y, sin embargo, quiere presionarlos y se sirve de aquellos que buscan la verdad externamente, es decir, aquellos que también dan la apariencia de buscar la verdad, pero que están internamente sumisos al príncipe de las mentiras.... Que se aman a sí mismos y a sus vidas e intentan arreglarse la vida lo más cómoda posible, que se encuentran en medio del mundo y, sin embargo, intentan de negar la conexión Conmigo.... Quienes, sin impulso interior en renunciar al mundo, fingen una vida de renuncias a los demás, y por lo tanto, se dedican a las mentiras.

El adversario usa a estos como sus herramientas al dejarlos hablar bajo la apariencia de la verdad, como el príncipe de las mentiras lo quiere. Y entonces la mentira se mezcla con la verdad, y la humanidad acepta todo lo que se le presenta como verdad y, sin embargo, es la mayor mentira, que no puede reconocer porque no desea la verdad, y la mentira corresponde más a su deseo terrenal, y por lo tanto es aceptada sin duda alguna.

Pero el espíritu de verdad allanará el camino tan pronto como los hombres se separen voluntariamente de la materia.... Así como desean lo espiritual y se esfuerzan por Dios....

Y Él vencerá al espíritu de la mentira, porque quien reconoce la verdad la defenderá e intentará de difundirla, y la mentira será suprimida y superada y también él cual a través la mentira ha venido al mundo....
