Truth - Desire for God....

The inner urge for truth is the sign that the human being feels that he belongs to God, for as soon as he longs for the truth his spirit is active in him and the human being recognizes his origin, he feels himself to be a spirit of God's spirit, he feels himself to be His created being and longs to return to his creator and father of eternity. He who longs for the truth has already detached himself from the hostile power whose endeavours are directed against the truth. Truth is of divine origin, and he who desires to stand in truth seeks to establish a connection with God, Who is Truth Himself. He will detest everything that does not correspond to the truth and will only be anxious not to fall prey to error; he will also avoid appearances and everything that could conceal the truth. For the desire for God in him will not allow him to make concessions to the prince of lies. Once someone desires God, God's love will not let him fall, and therefore it will not tolerate that God's adversary takes possession of people's will and thoughts and thus spreads untruth in the world through them. And so anyone who strives to come closer to God will inevitably stand in the truth and also recognize the truth as such, for this is the gift God offers to anyone who desires Him. No wrong thought can arise in a person if he gives himself to God intimately because he has a desire for God. His thinking will be directed towards the right realization, he can never err, for it is God Himself Who conveys the truth to him, Who in a manner of speaking offers Himself to the earthly child in the form of knowledge which desires Him and the truth. And as soon as the human being stands in the truth he also begins to become like God. A person who denies God will never strive for truth, he will not harbour a desire for knowledge and light, nor will he ever occupy himself with thoughts which are related to God.... He is not thirsty for knowledge and therefore no enlightenment can be given to him. Truth is like a drink of fresh water, clear and refreshing, for truth is a gift from God, and what is from God must be delicious and also have a beneficial and refreshing effect on people. But the truth also unites the human being with God, for being instructed in the truth also means coming ever closer to God, because God and the truth are one. And thus the human being need never fear that he will walk in error as long as his endeavours are directed towards God, for God knows the heart's desire and will not grant error access where truth is striven for and where the human being's will is turned towards God....

Waarheid – Verlangen naar God

De innerlijke drang naar de waarheid is het teken, dat de mens voelt dat het tot God behoort, want zodra hij naar de waarheid verlangt, is zijn geest in hem actief en de mens herkent zijn oorsprong. Hij voelt zich als een geest van de geest van God. Hij voelt zich als Zijn schepsel en verlangt terug naar zijn Schepper en Vader van eeuwigheid af.

Wie naar de waarheid verlangt, die heeft zich al bevrijd van de vijandelijke macht, wiens streven tegen de waarheid gericht is. De waarheid is van goddelijke oorsprong en wie ernaar verlangt in de waarheid te staan, die probeert de verbinding met God tot stand te brengen, Die de waarheid Zelf is. Hij zal alles verafschuwen, wat niet met de waarheid overeenstemt en er alleen maar angstig op bedacht zijn om niet aan dwaling ten prooi te vallen. Hij zal ook de schijn en alles wat de waarheid zou kunnen bedekken, mijden. Want het verlangen naar God in hem laat niet toe, dat hij concessies doet aan de vorst van de leugen.

Wie eenmaal naar God verlangt, die laat de liefde van God niet vallen en zodoende duldt ze ook niet, dat de tegenstander van God zich van de wil en de gedachten van de mens meester maakt en er hierdoor dus onwaarheid in de wereld verspreid wordt. En zo zal degene, die ernaar streeft om dichter bij God te komen, onvermijdelijk in de waarheid staan en de waarheid ook als zodanig herkennen, want dat is het geschenk, dat God aan iedereen biedt, die naar Hem verlangt.

Er kan geen verkeerde gedachte in de mens opduiken, als hij zich innig aan God overgeeft, omdat hij naar God verlangt. Diens denken zal naar de juiste kennis geleid worden. Hij kan nooit dwalen, want het is God Zelf, Die hem de waarheid toe laat komen. Die Zichzelf in zekere zin in de vorm van kennis aan het mensenkind aanbiedt, dat naar Hem en de waarheid verlangt.

En zodra de mens in de waarheid staat, begint hij ook net als God te worden. Nooit zal een mens die God ontkent, naar de waarheid streven. Hij zal geen verlangen naar kennis en licht in zich hebben. Hij zal zich ook nooit met gedachten bezighouden, die in verband staan met God. Hij is niet weetgierig en zodoende kan hem ook geen opheldering gegeven worden.

De waarheid is als een slok fris water, helder en verfrissend, want de waarheid is een geschenk van God en wat van God komt, moet heerlijk zijn en ook een zegen brengend en verkwikkend effect op de mens hebben. De waarheid verenigt de mens ook met God, want in de waarheid onderwezen te worden, betekent ook steeds dichter bij God te komen, omdat God en de waarheid één zijn. En derhalve hoeft de mens nooit te vrezen dat hij dwaalt, zolang zijn streven God betreft, want God kent het verlangen van het hart en zal daar de dwaling geen toegang verlenen als de waarheid nagestreefd wordt en waar de wil van de mens op God gericht is.
