Heavenly bodies.... Spiritual and earthly substance....

There is nothing in the universe, that does not have its origin in God. Consequently everything must proclaim the divine wisdom, that’s to say, it must correspond to a plan, designed by God in His wisdom. So nothing is useless in space, though it may appear to man. Now the heavenly bodies correspond their purpose exactly like the earth, although they are designed differently. Everything in the universe gives the still unfree spiritual possibility, to develop to the height. That is the only purpose of any work of creation. But now there is by no means to accept, that therefore all works of creation exist from the same substance, so that only the earthly substance, the matter, can be the admission station of the undeveloped spiritual, because this assumption would imply, that everything in the universe is from the same earthly substance. It would also require, that all the stars were inhabited by the same beings, by people, but this always means a persistence in the same state, that’s to say in the undeveloped state lifelessness, meaning inaction. It would also mean constant darkness, and so should be all the stars lightless creations. But the higher developed beings would feel this creation as unbearable complusion, for they would find no receiving willing beings for their output of light, so the pursuit of God would never find fulfilment, if the being would not be released from his earthbound condition and would come into free regions, where an action without cover of complusion is possible. So also creations must exist, which mean no complusion for the being. But every earthly substance is a complusion for the spiritual therein, consequently (this must be eliminated), and there must be creations, that can only be explained purely spiritual, because they are only purely spiritual substance. They exist, but not visible to the human eye, but perceptible only with the spiritual eye. Therefore they are to be regarded as spiritual creations, which means, they can be beheld only after the earthly life, that they contain the spiritual beings, who have travelled the earthly life and should develop higher. But the state of ripeness of the beings is different, consequently the creations must be different, which now serve the beings to stay....

Hemellichamen - Geestelijke en aardse substantie

Er bestaat niets in het heelal wat zijn Oorsprong niet in GOD heeft. Bijgevolg moet alles de goddelijke Wijsheid verkondigen, d.w.z. het moet beantwoorden aan een plan dat GOD in Zijn Wijsheid heeft ontworpen. Dus niets is zinloos in het heelal al mag dit ook de mens zo voorkomen. De hemellichamen nu beantwoorden precies zo aan hun doel als de aarde, ofschoon ze anders gevormd zijn. Alles in het heelal biedt het nog onvrije geestelijke de mogelijkheid zich positief te ontwikkelen. Dat is het enige doel van elk scheppingswerk.

Het is nu echter geenszins aan te nemen dat daarom alle scheppingswerken uit dezelfde substantie bestaan, dat dus alleen maar de aardse substantie, de materie, de verblijfplaats kan zijn waar het onontwikkelde geestelijke wordt ondergebracht, want uit deze onderstelling zou volgen dat alles in het heelal uit dezelfde aardse substantie bestaat. Verder zou dit met zich mee brengen dat alle hemellichamen door dezelfde wezens, door mensen, bewoond zouden zijn, maar dit betekent een blijven stilstaan in steeds dezelfde toestand, dus in een toestand van levenloosheid die zich niet ontwikkelt, ofwel: niets doen. En verder zou dit betekenen een voortdurende duisternis en dat wil zeggen dat alle hemellichamen scheppingen zonder licht zouden moeten zijn. De hogerontwikkelde wezens zouden echter deze schepping als een onverdraaglijke dwang ervaren, want voor hun uitstraling van licht zouden ze geen wezens vinden die bereidwillig waren dit in ontvangst te nemen, dus zou het streven naar GOD te gaan nooit verwezenlijkt worden, wanneer het wezen niet, uit zijn toestand van gebonden zijn aan de aarde, verlost zou worden en in vrije regionen komen waar een werkzaam zijn zonder een omhulling als dwang mogelijk is. Dus moeten er ook scheppingen bestaan die geen dwang meer betekenen voor het wezen. Elke aardse substantie is echter een dwang voor het geestelijke dat zich daarin bevindt, bijgevolg moet deze wegvallen, en er moeten scheppingen bestaan die alleen zuiver geestelijk verklaard kunnen worden omdat ze alleen geestelijke substantie zijn. Ze bestaan, echter niet zichtbaar voor het menselijk oog, maar zijn alleen waarneembaar met het geestelijke oog.

Ze zijn dus als geestelijke scheppingen te bestempelen, wat zoveel wil zeggen als dat ze pas nà het aardse leven kunnen worden aanschouwd, dat ze geestelijke wezens bevatten die het aardse leven al hebben afgelegd en zich hoger moeten ontwikkelen. De staat van rijpheid van de wezens is echter verschillend, bijgevolg moeten ook de scheppingen die nu het wezenlijke tot verblijfplaats dienen, verschillend zijn.
