Spiritual communion....

There is no more significant process than the spiritual union of the human being with God, and the human being will derive the greatest benefit for his soul from this union; thus this process is, as it were, necessary for the soul's shaping according to divine will. The human being consciously unites with God, i.e. he strives for God's presence and fulfils the conditions which are a prerequisite for God to approach the human being.... Then the union with God must take place and thus the spiritual communion takes place. The eternal deity Himself takes up residence in the heart of the person who longs for this communion.... But what does it mean to fulfil the preconditions that are a prerequisite for intimate union with God?.... Only one thing can bring about union with God.... love in the heart of man. For love is the original substance of the eternal deity, and when a person's heart is filled with love, the same is in him that is the essence of the eternal deity. People who are far from love are also far from God, because love and God are the same thing. But in order for people to become love, i.e., in order for a being distant from God to experience the divine feeling of love, the human being's thoughts must be directed towards an object.... to an object.... that is lovable and thus kindles the feeling of love in him. The eternal deity Itself has to make the human being aware of Itself, It has to initiate him into the mystery of love, It has to make the human being aware of Its strength and power and of Its relationship with creation and the creatures. And this prompts God to reveal Himself to people in the word.... But now it is up to the human being to accept this word, i.e. to heed and obey it or to reject it. But the word is the outwardly recognizable divine activity, it is God's strength which has become form, it is outwardly audible and yet inwardly effective, it is the outwardly perceptible.... the flesh.... the inwardly effective, the blood.... which signifies true life....

God now constantly brings His word close to people and wants to awaken love in people through the word. He wants man to accept the word and endeavour to live accordingly.... But living according to it means: giving love to all creatures that are around him. He wants people to eat His flesh with a hungry heart.... that they eagerly receive the divine word.... and have an ardent desire to fulfil the divine will.... that they drink the blood, the power that flows to them, as they hunger for the word. He wants to give them true life through His flesh and His blood.... For if they obey His word they are active in love, and as soon as they give love they also receive love, for now eternal love Itself draws near to them and fills their hearts with Its presence.... And then the union takes place, the communion.... "He who abides in love abides in Me and I in him...." And he who opens his heart when I desire entrance will be able to shelter Me in all fullness.... My spirit, My strength flows through him and he is intimately united with Me, so intimately that he can speak of My presence, that he has received Me completely within himself because he has fulfilled the prerequisites which earn him My presence.... Thus says the lord and wants to enlighten people truthfully....

how He wants His word "Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood...." to be understood. He wants to point people to spiritual communion, which alone signifies union with God and which can never be replaced by an outward act. Giving oneself to God in deepest love and proving this love for God to Him through active neighbourly love will inevitably result in God Himself turning towards man full of love, that a blissful union takes place and divine power flows through man. For love seeks to unite.... the love of God and the love of man press together. However, this process does not require any external actions, for these only give rise to misconceptions insofar as the human being makes the personal presence of the supreme being, the eternal deity, dependent on immensely misleading external actions, which, however, can be completely devoid of the inner spirit of love and then completely exclude the presence of the lord. God only sees the degree of love of the human heart, but not humanly added forms, which only have the consequence that the form is respected more, and are often even carried out completely without love, and the union with God, the communion, can then never take place. Being united with the lord is the most precious thing a person can achieve on earth, and this is truly only striven for very little.... However, people often think they are united with Him and are still very far away from Him because they still lack the love that alone brings about union with God. Yet anyone who offers his heart to God with the most heartfelt love, who is constantly active in love, will inevitably draw the eternal deity to himself and is most intimately united with Him through love, even if he ignores the external form of a spiritual connection.... For God looks at people's hearts and pays no attention to form....

Geistige Kommunion....

Es gibt keinen bedeutsameren Vorgang als die geistige Vereinigung des Menschen mit Gott, und es wird der Mensch aus dieser Vereinigung den größten Nutzen ziehen für seine Seele; also ist dieser Vorgang gleichsam nötig zur Gestaltung der Seele nach göttlichem Willen. Es verbindet sich der Mensch mit Gott bewußt, d.h., er strebt die Gegenwart Gottes an und erfüllt die Bedingungen, die Voraussetzung sind, daß Gott Sich dem Menschen nähert.... Dann muß die Vereinigung mit Gott erfolgen und also die geistige Kommunion stattfinden. Es nimmt die ewige Gottheit Selbst Aufenthalt im Herzen des Menschen, der diese Kommunion ersehnt.... Was aber heißt, die Vorbedingungen erfüllen, die Voraussetzung sind zur innigen Verbindung mit Gott?.... Nur eins kann den Zusammenschluß mit Gott bewirken.... die Liebe im Herzen des Menschen. Denn die Liebe ist ja die Ursubstanz der ewigen Gottheit, und so des Menschen Herz von Liebe erfüllt ist, ist das gleiche in ihm, was das Wesen der ewigen Gottheit ist. Menschen, die fern der Liebe sind, sind auch Gott fern, weil Liebe und Gott das gleiche ist. Um aber die Menschen zur Liebe werden zu lassen, d.h., um als Gott-fernes Wesen das göttliche Gefühl der Liebe zu empfinden, muß das Denken des Menschen gelenkt werden auf einen Gegenstand.... auf ein Objekt.... das liebenswert ist und also das Gefühl der Liebe in ihm entfacht. Es muß Sich die ewige Gottheit Selbst dem Menschen zum Bewußtsein bringen, Sie muß ihn einweihen in das Mysterium der Liebe, Sie muß dem Menschen das Wissen nahebringen um Ihre Kraft und Macht und um das Verhältnis von Ihr zu der Schöpfung und den Geschöpfen. Und dies veranlaßt Gott, Sich den Menschen zu offenbaren im Wort.... Nun aber steht es dem Menschen frei, dieses Wort anzunehmen, also es zu beachten und zu befolgen oder auch abzulehnen. Das Wort aber ist das äußerlich erkennbare göttliche Wirken, es ist Form gewordene Kraft Gottes, es ist äußerlich vernehmbar und doch innerlich wirkend, es ist das äußerlich Wahrnehmbare.... das Fleisch.... das innerlich Wirksame, das Blut.... das wahres Leben bedeutet....

Gott bringt nun den Menschen unausgesetzt Sein Wort nahe und will durch das Wort die Liebe im Menschen erwecken zur Tätigkeit. Er will, daß der Mensch das Wort annehme und sich bemühe, danach zu leben.... Danach leben aber heißt: Liebe geben allen Geschöpfen, die um ihn sind. Er will, daß die Menschen mit hungrigem Herzen Sein Fleisch essen.... daß sie begierig das göttliche Wort entgegennehmen.... und ein heißes Verlangen danach haben, den göttlichen Willen zu erfüllen.... daß sie trinken das Blut, die Kraft, die ihnen zuströmt, sowie sie hungern nach dem Wort. Er will ihnen wahres Leben geben durch Sein Fleisch und Sein Blut.... Denn so sie Sein Wort befolgen, sind sie in der Liebe tätig, und sowie sie Liebe geben, empfangen sie auch Liebe, denn nun naht Sich ihnen die ewige Liebe Selbst und erfüllt ihre Herzen mit Ihrer Gegenwart.... Und dann findet die Vereinigung statt, die Kommunion.... "Wer in der Liebe bleibt, der bleibt in Mir und Ich in ihm...." Und wer sein Herz öffnet, so Ich Einlaß begehre, der wird Mich bergen können in aller Fülle.... Mein Geist, Meine Kraft durchströmet ihn, und innig ist er mit Mir verbunden, so innig, daß er von Meiner Gegenwart sprechen kann, daß er Mich ganz in sich aufgenommen hat, weil er die Voraussetzungen erfüllt hat, die ihm Meine Gegenwart eintragen.... Also spricht der Herr und will den Menschen wahrheitsgemäß Aufklärung geben....

wie Er Sein Wort "Wer Mein Fleisch ißt und Mein Blut trinkt...." verstanden haben will. Er will die Menschen hinweisen auf die geistige Kommunion, die allein den Zusammenschluß mit Gott bedeutet und die nimmermehr durch einen äußerlichen Akt ersetzt werden kann. In tiefster Liebe sich Gott zu eigen geben und diese Liebe zu Gott Ihm beweisen durch werktätige Nächstenliebe wird unweigerlich zur Folge haben, daß Gott Selbst Sich voller Liebe dem Menschen zuneigt, daß eine selige Vereinigung stattfindet und göttliche Kraft den Menschen durchströmt. Denn die Liebe sucht den Zusammenschluß.... die Liebe Gottes und die Liebe des Menschen drängt zusammen. Doch es bedarf dieser Vorgang keine äußeren Handlungen, denn diese sind nur Anlaß zu falschen Vorstellungen insofern, als der Mensch die persönliche Anwesenheit der höchsten Wesenheit, der ewigen Gottheit, abhängig macht von ungemein irreführenden äußeren Handlungen, die jedoch des inneren Liebegeistes völlig entbehren können und dann die Anwesenheit des Herrn gänzlich ausschließen. Gott sieht nur den Liebesgrad des menschlichen Herzens, nicht aber menschlich hinzugefügte Formen, die nur zur Folge haben, daß der Form mehr geachtet wird, und des öfteren sogar gänzlich ohne Liebe ausgeführt werden, und der Zusammenschluß mit Gott, die Kommunion, dann niemals stattfinden kann. Verbunden sein mit dem Herrn ist das Köstlichste, was der Mensch auf Erden erreichen kann, und es wird dies wahrlich nur sehr wenig angestrebt.... Oft aber wähnen sich die Menschen verbunden mit Ihm und sind Ihm noch sehr weit entfernt, weil ihnen noch die Liebe mangelt, die allein den Zusammenschluß mit Gott bewirkt. Doch wer in innigster Liebe Gott sein Herz entgegenbringt, wer ständig liebetätig ist, der zieht unweigerlich die ewige Gottheit zu sich heran und ist aufs innigste mit Ihr verbunden durch die Liebe, auch wenn er die äußere Form einer geistigen Verbindung unbeachtet läßt.... Denn Gott sieht auf die Herzen der Menschen und achtet nicht der Form....
