Inward prayer.... outside impressions.... God everywhere....

The world and its customs will never be completely changed. Everything that pleases the eyes or the senses is the weapon of the one who means the world, and he will fight with these weapons as long as the world exists. Only those who free themselves from his power will also free themselves from actions that are unimportant or hinder the moulding of the soul. This is the influence of evil, that it weakens the feeling for truth and lies and that even struggling people are subject to this influence as long as their will does not deny everything that bears witness to the opponent's activity. The teachings from above certainly give a clear picture and the human being could change accordingly, yet his senses demand impressions from outside until the truth offered from above fills all his thoughts and aspirations, only then will he have detached himself from the demands of the world and recognize them as extremely meaningless and insignificant. They are only a danger if a person neglects his inner organization for their sake, if he finds it difficult to detach himself mentally, if he attaches too much importance to the fulfilment of external actions and is then prevented from entering into intimate union with God, i.e. if he does not succeed in making himself completely insensitive to external impressions and entering into his innermost being and making contact with God. This is far more difficult in an environment that is intended for his senses than when a person withdraws into "his little chamber", i.e. to be alone with God uninfluenced by external impressions. The intimacy of prayer will undoubtedly be deeper where all external impressions are removed, so union with God will be easier to establish. Man must realize that God is everywhere where man wants to be with Him.... that no particular place or environment is needed to bring about union with God.... He must realize that it is more pleasing to God if He is remembered at every hour and in every place, for God will be wherever man's thoughts seek Him.... but He is most likely to be present when a person is closed off from the world, when he succeeds in forgetting everything around him. Then he easily finds the bridge that leads into the spiritual realm, into which nothing that belongs to the world can be carried.... Praying inwardly means detaching oneself from everything earthly and connecting with the purely spiritual.... And so it is understandable that heartfelt prayer is often called into question where the eye and the senses are offered too much that is worldly....

Oração interna.... Impressões externas.... Deus em todo o lado....

O mundo e os seus costumes nunca serão totalmente alterados. Tudo o que é bom para os olhos ou para os sentidos é a arma daquele que significa o mundo, e ele lutará com essas armas enquanto o mundo existir. Somente aquele que se libertar do seu poder também se libertará de ações que não sejam importantes ou obstrutivas para a formação da alma. Esta é a influência do mal, que enfraquece o sentimento de verdade e mentira e que mesmo as pessoas que lutam estão sujeitas a esta influência, desde que a sua vontade não negue tudo o que testemunha a actividade adversária. As instruções vindas de cima certamente dão uma imagem clara e o ser humano poderia mudar de acordo com isso, mas seus sentidos exigem impressões de fora até que a verdade oferecida de cima preencha todo o seu pensamento e esforço, só então ele terá se desligado das exigências do mundo e as reconhecerá como extremamente vazias e sem sentido. Só são um perigo se o ser humano negligencia a formação interior por causa deles, se tem dificuldade em desprender-se mentalmente, se dá demasiada importância ao cumprimento das ações externas e depois é impedido da união íntima com Deus, isto é, se não consegue fazer-se completamente insensível às impressões externas e entrar no seu íntimo e entrar em contato com Deus. Isto é muito mais difícil em um ambiente destinado aos sentidos do que se o ser humano se retirar para "sua pequena câmara", ou seja, para estar sozinho com Deus, não influenciado por impressões externas. A intimidade da oração será sem dúvida mais profunda onde todas as impressões externas estão ausentes, assim a união com Deus será mais fácil de estabelecer. O ser humano deve ser claro sobre o fato de que Deus está em toda parte onde o ser humano quer estar com Ele.... que nenhum lugar ou ambiente específico é necessário para realizar a união com Deus.... Ele deve ser claro sobre o fato de que é mais agradável para Deus se Ele for lembrado a cada hora e em cada lugar, pois Deus estará onde quer que os pensamentos do homem O busquem.... Mas Ele estará muito provavelmente presente quando o ser humano estiver fechado do mundo, quando ele conseguir esquecer tudo o que o rodeia. Então ele encontrará facilmente a ponte que conduz ao reino espiritual, no qual nada pertencente ao mundo pode ser transportado através de..... Orar interiormente significa desligar-se de tudo o que é terreno e conectar-se com a..... puro-espiritual. E assim é compreensível que a oração íntima seja muitas vezes posta em causa onde demasiadas coisas mundanas são oferecidas aos olhos e aos sentidos...._>Amém
