Carelessness - danger.... reflection - beginning of spiritual influence....

What is useful for earthly life is not always beneficial for the shaping of the soul, instead, human endeavours are often precisely suited to prevent or unfavourably influence the work on the soul. And therefore man should have understanding for the fact that failures are granted to him by fate, he should know that with a permanent favourable situation in life a certain carelessness takes possession of the soul, that the spiritual striving becomes less and conversely the desire for the world awakens again or increases. It is precisely carelessness that makes people strive for more.... for the fulfilment of the enjoyment of life.... while worries and hardships weaken the desire for it and man is absorbed in the spiritual. Man's constant struggle on earth stimulates him to reflect, and reflection is the beginning of spiritual connection and therefore also the beginning of spiritual influence. Through contemplation, man places himself in the power of otherworldly good or evil forces, depending on the object that prompts him to contemplate. If man reflects, this is already his will to receive enlightenment.... A carefree life, however, brings so many earthly things close to man, which then steer his train of thought in the wrong direction. Only when the human being has completely closed himself off from the world, when spiritual striving moves his whole thinking, can he be granted a life of carefree living, for then it will make little difference to his thinking and striving and his soul's work will not suffer any interruption or unfavourable influence.... What puts you humans in a bad mood is often unspeakably beneficial for the soul, as it gives the human being cause for introspection, especially when he himself suffers from his bad mood. Then he will try to give account to himself and, if he is honest with himself, will also look for the cause in himself and then make the best resolutions to change. The most important thing in life on earth is always to recognize oneself. To judge oneself mercilessly, to criticize oneself severely and not to stop asking God for strength to refine one's nature is absolutely necessary for conscious soul work. And when a person feels unburdened, he often slackens off; slacking off, however, is a stagnation that is far more likely to lead to regression than to progress. Human life must therefore bring disappointments, failures or more or less severe suffering and hardship for the sake of shaping the soul....

Despreocupación – peligro.... Pensar – comienzo de la influencia espiritual

Lo que es útil para la vida terrenal no siempre conduce a la formación del alma, sino a menudo los esfuerzos humanos son precisamente adecuados para prevenir o influir desfavorablemente en el trabajo sobre el alma. Y es por eso que el hombre debe comprender que los fracasos le son otorgados por el destino, debe saber que, con una situación de vida permanente favorable, se afianza una cierta despreocupación del alma, que el esfuerzo espiritual disminuye y, al revés, el deseo por el mundo despierta o aumenta.

Es precisamente la despreocupación lo que hace que los hombres se esfuerzan por más.... por el cumplimiento de los disfrutes de la vida.... mientras que las preocupaciones y las penurias debilitan el deseo por eso y el hombre se despierta en lo espiritual. La lucha constante del hombre en la tierra lo estimula a pensar, y pensar es el comienzo de la conexión espiritual y por lo tanto también de la influencia espiritual.

Al pensar, el hombre se pone a sí mismo bajo el poder de las fuerzas del bien o del mal del más allá, según el objeto que le impulse a pensar. Si una persona piensa, esta ya es su voluntad de recibir una aclaración.... pero una vida despreocupada acerca al hombre tantas cosas terrenales, que luego dirigen su línea de pensamiento en la dirección equivocada.

Solo cuando el hombre ha terminado por completo con el mundo, cuando el esfuerzo espiritual mueve todo su pensamiento, entonces puede vivir una vida sin preocupaciones, porque entonces esto cambiará poco en su pensamiento y esfuerzo, y el trabajo de su alma no sufrirá ninguna interrupción o influencia desfavorable....

Lo que vosotros os pone de mal humor, a vosotros los humanos, a menudo es indescriptiblemente beneficioso para el alma, ya que hay una razón para que el hombre se sumerja en sí mismo, especialmente cuando él mismo sufre de mal humor. Entonces luego tratará de ser responsable, y si es honesto consigo mismo, también buscará la causa en sí mismo y luego tomará las mejores resoluciones para cambiarse.

Lo más importante en la vida terrenal siempre es reconocerse a sí mismo. Entrar sin piedad en el juicio consigo mismo, ejercer la más estricta crítica y no dejar de pedir fuerza a Dios para ennoblecer su ser, esto es absolutamente necesario para el trabajo consciente del alma. Y cuando el hombre se siente libre de preocupaciones, a menudo se relaja; pero un aflojamiento es un estancamiento y conduce mucho más a la regresión que al progreso. La vida humana, por lo tanto, debe traer desilusiones, fracasos o sufrimientos y penurias más o menos severos para el hombre en aras de formar su alma.
