Many are called, few are chosen.... labourers in the vineyard....

Many people are indeed called to serve God, yet only a few people respond to God's call, and these few are therefore the chosen ones to whom God gives a task which is tremendously important and who are therefore showered with divine grace. For they consciously give themselves to God and are therefore easily guided by Him because they offer no resistance to His divine guidance. For they believe in God and eagerly endeavour to fulfil His will. But God's will is to proclaim the truths of faith to people.... It is God's will that a link should agree to receive His word, to build the bridge from earth to the beyond, and as such He would accept every person who would like to offer himself to Him out of love for his fellow human beings. For He needs many labourers for His vineyard. However, the will of man usually strives against the divine will and so only a few will agree to work for Him.... So only a few are chosen, i.e. only a few receive God's grace so obviously that it is recognized as grace. And this explains why people cannot really imagine which forces are at work in the creation of these writings, i.e. why they express themselves in such a way that the result can be visible to all people. Whatever God gives and in whatever form, it will always remain incomprehensible to people as long as they do not fulfil such a task, which is a conscious service in love, but which can never be expected of a person who is in the midst of earthly life. Even if God calls him to spiritual activity.... he will not hear the call.... And if he hears it, he will not want to give up the earthly world and therefore will not be able to answer the call. Only someone who surrenders everything will be chosen to work for the lord, for he must listen within and can only do so if nothing ties him to the earthly world anymore, if he fully surrenders his will and submits himself to God for constant guidance. He is now constantly looked after by the beings who take care of him on God's behalf, and his unrestricted devotion to God now earns him a gift of grace of incomprehensible value.... He is taught without interruption, he is given a light so that it shall shine far and wide. Thus he has now become a mediator between God and people who, in their blindness and stubbornness, are no longer able to hear the voice of God within themselves and who nevertheless need active help, whose soul also sighs for redemption.... A single person who offers himself to God for service can have a tremendously beneficial effect for humanity, for whom the lord chooses He also provides with His grace and strength to a great extent, so that he may be an efficient labourer in His vineyard, so that he may provide help in love where it is needed....

Viele sind berufen, wenige auserwählt.... Arbeiter im Weinberg....

Es sind wohl viele Menschen berufen, Gott zu dienen, doch nur wenige Menschen kommen dem Ruf Gottes nach, und diese wenigen sind also die Auserwählten, denen Gott eine Aufgabe stellt, die ungeheuer wichtig ist, und die deshalb überschüttet werden mit der göttlichen Gnade. Denn sie geben sich Gott bewußt zu eigen und sind daher von Ihm leicht zu lenken, weil sie Seiner göttlichen Führung keinen Widerstand entgegensetzen. Denn sie glauben an Gott und sind eifrigst bestrebt, Seinen Willen zu erfüllen. Gottes Wille aber ist, die Glaubenswahrheiten den Menschen zu künden.... Gottes Wille ist, daß sich ein Bindeglied zur Aufnahme Seines Wortes bereit erklärt, die Brücke zu schlagen von der Erde zum Jenseits, und Er würde als solches einen jeden Menschen annehmen, der aus Liebe zu den Mitmenschen sich Ihm anbieten möchte. Denn Er benötigt viele Arbeiter für Seinen Weinberg. Des Menschen Wille aber strebt zumeist dem göttlichen Willen entgegen, und so werden sich nur wenige bereit erklären, für Ihn zu wirken.... Es sind also nur wenige auserwählt, d.h., nur wenigen strömt die Gnade Gottes so offensichtlich zu, daß sie als Gnade erkannt wird. Und so ist es zu erklären, warum der Mensch sich keine rechte Vorstellung machen kann, welche Kräfte bei der Entstehung dieser Schriften wirksam sind, sich also so äußern, daß das Ergebnis allen Menschen sichtbar sein kann. Was Gott auch gibt und in welcher Form, es wird den Menschen immer unbegreiflich bleiben, solange sie nicht eine solche Aufgabe erfüllen, die ein bewußtes Dienen in Liebe ist, was aber niemals erwartet werden kann von einem Menschen, der mitten im irdischen Leben steht. So Gott ihn auch berufet zu geistiger Tätigkeit.... er wird den Ruf nicht vernehmen.... Und so er ihn vernimmt, wird er nicht die irdische Welt aufgeben wollen und also dem Ruf nicht Folge leisten können. Nur wer alles hingibt, wird auserwählt zum Wirken für den Herrn, denn er muß horchen nach innen und kann dies nur, wenn nichts mehr ihn an die irdische Welt fesselt, wenn er voll und ganz seinen Willen hingibt und sich Gott unterstellt zur ständigen Führung. Er wird nun unausgesetzt betreut von den Wesen, die im Auftrag Gottes sich seiner annehmen, und es trägt die schrankenlose Hingabe an Gott ihm nun ein Gnadengeschenk ein von unfaßbarem Wert.... Er wird belehrt ohne Unterbrechung, ihm wird ein Licht gegeben, auf daß es weithin leuchten soll. Er ist also nun ein Mittler geworden zwischen Gott und den Menschen, die in ihrer Blindheit und Verstocktheit nicht mehr fähig sind, die Stimme Gottes in sich zu vernehmen, und die dennoch eine tatkräftige Hilfe benötigen, deren Seele auch nach Erlösung seufzt.... Es kann ein einziger Mensch, der sich Gott zum Dienst anbietet, ungeheuer segensreich für die Menschheit wirken, denn wen der Herr erwählet, den bedenkt Er auch mit Seiner Gnade und Kraft in hohem Maß, auf daß er Ihm ein tüchtiger Arbeiter im Weinberg abgebe, auf daß er Hilfe leiste in Liebe, wo solche benötigt wird....
