Will – Grace .... (Objection Philippians 2 – 13)

Spiritual standstill sets in when the human being’s will is too weak to overcome obstacles. No further progress can be made anymore. Although everything depends on God’s grace, the human being must participate in order to become richly blessed, he must use his will and appeal for strength, then he will strive towards ascent. No way exists which excludes the human being’s will, and thus he must activate his will first. No person can be released from this. Were God’s grace designated to come first, the human being would be released from actively using his will. And this is an error which, in turn, results in further errors. God’s grace and mercy certainly take hold of a person by providing him with every opportunity for his final deliverance. For it is an inconceivable grace on the part of God that the human being may travel the path of earthly life in order to return to Him again .... But in the stage of free will, only free will is decisive as to whether or not he will receive further blessings; otherwise life on earth would not be a probationary period which the human being has to pass. God wants to convey the pure truth to earth. Thus He must clarify where people are mistaken or have erred. He must rectify that which hitherto has been misunderstood, for He wants to separate the truth from the untruth. If the human being resists God’s effort to guide him into truth he also actively uses his will but in a God-opposing way and he can never become enlightened. God gave the human being the ability to think things through and to make a free decision. This is God’s grace again, nevertheless, the free decision depends on the human being’s will in turn, thus a person must want God’s grace to take effect in him .... His will opens the heart to become receptive for God’s grace, and his will must also make use of God’s grace .... It is this clear realisation which lets a person develop a sense of responsibility in the first place, whereas the hitherto wrong attitude that the human being is incapable of doing anything without divine grace .... that this motivates the human will in the first place .... weakens his urge to be active. In that case one could not speak of a person’s free will, if God Himself were to influence this will by conveying His grace. Unlimited means of help are certainly at a person’s disposal, thus it is made easy for him to let his will become active, yet the latter must be done by the person himself of his own accord. The actual purpose of life is for a human being to make a decision for or against God of his own free will .... Consequently, God will never precipitate this decision by determining the human being’s will, for this would truly defeat the purpose of life on earth. This is why people are repeatedly informed so that they will pay attention and release themselves from that which is mistaken, and from those human ideas and human interpretations which became erroneous without consciously intending to spread error. Yet precisely this interpretation, that God Himself determines the human being’s will, carries much weight for it leads to wrong thinking. Neither the Deity can be properly recognised nor does it strengthen the human being’s sense of responsibility .... He will ultimately only rely on divine grace, which seizes the person depending on divine will .... which flows to him, providing that God has intended to bestow grace upon him. But in that case he could not be held accountable if he does not reach the goal given to him at the beginning of his embodiment. The crucial point can only be found in free will; however, anyone who argues the human being’s free will regards himself as a puppet which is always and forever guided by a higher Power without taking any kind of active part in it. God’s wisdom and love prevents a restriction of will, otherwise higher development would be impossible for the human soul and the long process on earth would be unnecessary if God’s will were to select the aspirants for God’s kingdom by conveying His grace to them, which people would subsequently seize and thus be safely guided by it into the kingdom of heaven.

La volonté – la Grâce - (lettre aux Philippiens 2 – 13.)

Le point d'arrêt surgit lorsque la volonté de l'homme est trop faible pour dépasser les obstacles. Aucun succès ne peut plus être enregistré. Tout dépend certes de la Grâce de Dieu, mais l'homme doit faire sa part pour recevoir justement abondamment la Grâce, il doit la vouloir et demander la Force, alors il tend vers le Haut. Il n'existe aucune voie qui exclut la volonté de l'homme, mais d'abord la volonté doit être active. De cela l'homme ne peut pas être exempté. Si maintenant la Grâce de Dieu était offerte en Premier, l'homme serait dispensé de faire devenir active sa volonté. Et cela serait une erreur qui aurait de nouveau pour conséquence d'autres erreurs. La Grâce et la Miséricorde de Dieu saisissent certes l'homme pour lui donner toutes les possibilités pour obtenir l’ultime salut. Parce que c’est une Grâce de Dieu insaisissable qui a permis à l'homme de parcourir le chemin terrestre, pour arriver de nouveau à Dieu. Mais c’est durant le stade de la libre volonté que seulement celle-ci est déterminante, si la Grâce lui arrive ou bien non, autrement la vie terrestre ne serait pas un temps d'épreuve que l'homme doit soutenir. Dieu veut guider la Vérité sur la Terre. Donc Il doit donner l'éclaircissement là où les hommes errent ou bien ont erré. Il doit corriger ce qui jusqu'à présent avait été compris d’une manière erronée, parce qu'Il veut séparer la Vérité du mensonge. Si l'homme oppose résistance à l’Effort divin de guider à lui la Vérité, alors sa volonté est certes active, mais d’une manière contraire à Dieu et il ne peut jamais y avoir la moindre clarté. Dieu a donné à l'homme la faculté de pouvoir réfléchir et de prendre une libre décision. Cela est de nouveau une Grâce de Dieu, cependant la libre décision dépend de la volonté de l'homme, donc l'homme doit vouloir que la Grâce de Dieu devienne efficace en lui. Sa volonté doit ouvrir le cœur pour qu’il soit réceptif pour la Grâce de Dieu et sa volonté doit aussi utiliser la Grâce de Dieu. Seulement la claire connaissance de cela rend l’homme responsable, tandis que jusqu'à présent l’opinion erronée qui était que l'homme ne puisse rien sans la Grâce de Dieu, que seulement celle-ci poussait la volonté de l'homme, paralysait la poussée en lui à l'activité. On ne pouvait alors pas parler de la libre volonté de l'homme si Dieu Lui-Même influençait cette volonté au moyen de la transmission de Sa Grâce. Les moyens auxiliaires sont certes sans limite à disposition de l'homme, donc il lui est rendu facile de laisser devenir active sa volonté, mais l'homme doit le faire par sa propre poussée. Le vrai but de la vie est que l’homme se décide dans la libre volonté pour ou contre Dieu. Par conséquent Dieu ne forcera jamais cette décision en déterminant la volonté de l'homme, parce qu'alors le but de la vie terrestre serait vraiment manqué. Et donc aux hommes il arrive toujours de nouveau l’annonce qu’ils doivent être attentifs et se libérer de ce qui est faux, de ce que l'imagination et l'interprétation humaine erronée a fait devenir une erreur, sans qu'il y eut l'intention de répandre consciemment l'erreur. Mais il est compréhensible que cette interprétation engendre un grave poids, c’est comme si Dieu Lui-Même avait déterminé la volonté de l'homme en la poussant à une pensée erronée. La Divinité ne peut pas être bien reconnue ni la conscience de la responsabilité de l'homme en sortir fortifiée. A la fin l'homme comptera seulement sur la Grâce divine qui saisit l’être selon la Volonté divine et l'influence si Dieu a accordé à l'homme Sa Grâce. Mais dans ce cas il ne pourrait alors pas être tenu pour responsable s'il n’atteint pas le but qui lui est imposé au début de son incarnation. Le point crucial se trouve seulement dans la libre volonté ; mais celui qui ne reconnait pas à l'homme la libre volonté se considère comme une marionnette qui toujours et continuellement est guidée par un Pouvoir supérieur, sans être lui-même de quelque façon actif. La Sagesse et l'Amour de Dieu excluent une non-liberté de la volonté, parce qu'autrement le développement vers le Haut de l'âme humaine serait impossible et il ne faudrait pas le long parcours sur la Terre si la Volonté de Dieu choisissait les aspirants au Royaume de Dieu en les guidant au moyen de Sa Grâce pour les mener ensuite à coup sûr dans le Royaume des Cieux si celle-ci est saisie par les hommes.
