Intellectual research.... truth....

It will not be possible for anyone to get behind the pure truth in terms of research, for truth is something purely spiritual which cannot be fathomed intellectually. Truth is inseparable from the eternal deity, therefore it must also be something unfathomable in itself like the eternal deity itself. But something spiritual can never be fathomed through a purely physical function, and it is a purely physical function when the intellect alone wants to approach the solution of problematic questions which concern the great riddle of creation or everything that lies outside the earthly, when therefore man wants to eliminate God and solve such questions through sharp thinking. The result of such research cannot correspond to the truth, because the truth is God, without God there cannot be truth. And because truth is something divine, it can only be offered by God Himself, and only to those who approach God for it, who ask for His help, His spirit for every enquiry. God wants the truth to be spread, He also wants to send it to those who still err, but then they must be willing to accept it.... However, those who live without God, who do not recognize Him and consequently do not believe that they need a supply of strength, are still in league with the power which fights against the truth. This power will try to determine the human being's will to reject the pure truth, and the person who lives without God will give in to its insistence and stubbornly oppose the pure truth with evidence which betrays precisely this sinister influence. Without God, man cannot attain the truth because he is then subject to the prince of lies, whose endeavour is to undermine the truth. However, purely intellectual activity corresponds to the human being's free will, i.e. it will produce results that correspond to the human being's will. Therefore, if a person researches purely intellectually, i.e. without entering into contact with good knowing powers through prayer to God, then his own will is active but not the divine will.... However, one's own will is still opposed to God, it has more contact with the opposing power and is therefore also seized and directed by this power, namely towards that which is opposed to God. Man cannot walk the right path without God, he will always err because his guides want to lead him astray, but it is completely up to him which power he chooses to guide him. As such, man himself is incapable of walking the right path without any guidance; he is incapable of fathoming the truth on his own, i.e. without the support of spiritual power.... However, he has the right to request spiritual strength and he has the free will to decide in favour of good or evil strength. Even the belief that he does not need support is an influence of evil forces. It is the spiritual arrogance that is part of the evil power and through which he already grants this power the right over himself. Consequently, a person can only be guided into the truth when he consciously entrusts himself to the eternal deity and, in the awareness of his own spiritual poverty, requests the good spiritual power in order to be able to recognize the truth as such when it is offered to him....

Verstandsmatig onderzoeken – Waarheid

Via onderzoek achter de zuivere waarheid te komen, zal voor geen mens mogelijk zijn, want de waarheid is iets puur geestelijks, dat niet verstandsmatig te doorgronden is. De waarheid is niet van de eeuwige Godheid te scheiden. Het moet dus ook in zichzelf iets ondoorgrondelijks zijn, zoals de eeuwige Godheid Zelf.

Maar door een puur lichamelijke werking is nooit iets geestelijks te doorgronden en het is een puur lichamelijke werking wanneer alleen het verstand aan het oplossen van problematische vragen zou willen beginnen, die het raadsel van de schepping of alles wat buiten het aardse ligt, betreffen, wanneer de mens dus God uit wil schakelen en door een scherp nadenken zulke vragen op wil lossen.

Het resultaat van zulk onderzoekswerk kan niet met de waarheid overeenkomen, want de waarheid is God. Zonder God kan er geen waarheid zijn. En omdat de waarheid iets goddelijks is, kan ze alleen maar door God Zelf aangeboden worden en wel alleen aan degenen die God daarom vragen, die bij elk onderzoek vragen om Zijn hulp en Zijn geest. God wil dat de waarheid verspreid wordt. Hij wil haar ook toe laten komen aan degenen, die nog dwalen, maar dan moeten ze bereidwillig zijn om deze te accepteren.

Maar degenen die zonder God leven, die Hem niet erkennen en bijgevolg ook geloven geen toevoer van kracht nodig te hebben, staan nog in verbinding met de kracht, die tegen de waarheid strijdt. Deze macht zal de wil van de mens trachten over te halen om de zuivere waarheid af te wijzen en de mens die zonder God leeft, geeft ook aan diens aandringen toe en keert zich koppig tegen de zuivere waarheid met een bewijsvoering, die juist deze noodlottige invloed verraadt. Maar zonder God kan de mens niet bij de waarheid komen, omdat hij dan aan de vorst van de leugen onderworpen is, wiens streven het is om de waarheid te ondergraven.

De zuivere werkzaamheid van de gedachten komt met de vrije wil van de mens overeen. Dat wil zeggen dat deze zulke resultaten zal behalen, die met de wil van de mens overeenkomen. Als de mens puur verstandsmatig onderzoekt, dat wil zeggen zonder door het gebed tot God in verbinding te treden met goed wetende krachten, dan is zijn eigen wil actief, maar niet de goddelijke wil. Maar de eigen wil is nog steeds vijandig aan God. Hij heeft meer contact met de vijandige macht en wordt dus ook door deze kracht gegrepen en geleid en wel naar degene, die zich tegen God gekeerd heeft. De mens kan zonder God de juiste weg niet nemen. Hij zal steeds dwalen, omdat degenen die hem leiden hem immers op een dwaalspoor willen brengen. Maar het staat hem volledig vrij, welke macht hij kiest om hem te leiden.

De mens zelf is als zodanig niet in staat om zonder deze leiding de juiste weg te gaan. Hij is niet in staat om vanuit zichzelf de waarheid te doorgronden, dat wil zeggen zonder hulp van geestelijke kracht. Maar hij heeft het recht om geestelijke kracht voor zichzelf te vragen en hij heeft de vrije wil om voor de goede of voor de boze macht te kiezen.

Al het geloof geen hulp nodig te hebben, is de invloed van de boze krachten. Het is de geestelijke arrogantie, die deel is van de boze macht en waardoor hij deze macht al het recht op hem geeft. Derhalve kan de mens pas dan de waarheid binnen geleid worden, wanneer hij zich bewust aan de eeuwige Godheid toevertrouwt en in het bewustzijn van zijn eigen geestelijke armoede de goede geestelijke kracht vraagt om de waarheid als zodanig te kunnen herkennen, als ze hem geboden wordt.
