Sounding word proof....

The most unmistakable proof of union with God is the resounding word. It is like heavenly music that sounds in the heart.... it is an incomparably beautiful state that triggers bliss in the human being, and it is the feeling of sweetest togetherness, for the human being senses the closeness of the lord. And nothing on earth can equal this blissful state, nothing else can give such bliss as the closeness of the divine lord and saviour. And yet only a few people are in such a state of love that they are worthy of the resounding word. God Himself offers the most marvellous things to man on earth, but only a few desire this exquisite gift, which can turn life on earth into a paradise. Only a few give their hearts completely to the saviour and desire nothing more of the world. Only a few are absorbed in love for their neighbour and share everything they possess with him.... few give everything in order to be able to receive everything again.... The more willing the earthly child is and the less it resists divine activity, the sooner it will be able to hear the voice of God within itself, for the subtlest spiritual vibrations must be heeded and the heart must long for God with all its intimacy. Man should only strive for this on earth, for once he has achieved this he is immune to all temptations of evil.... He demands nothing more from life than only divine love, which expresses itself audibly. All desires are silent when the lord Himself speaks in the human being's heart, and then He instructs the earthly child, and when the latter hears His voice audibly, all doubt falls silent.... But such an intimate connection can only be established in the deepest faith, for if a person does not believe that nothing is impossible with God, he will not listen into himself so persistently in order to hear the divine voice. And even if the knowledge of this is imparted to people, their faith is too small for them to make every effort to prove themselves worthy of such a gift. The resounding word brings an indescribable blessing to the human being, for through it he noticeably progresses upwards. By listening to the word the human being receives unimaginable strength and grace, and the intimate connection brings him an indescribable spiritual advantage, for being united with the lord already on earth requires a degree of maturity which, upon his earthly demise, will earn the human being entry into the spheres of light where he may behold God face to face....

Het klinkende woord is het bewijs

Het zekerste bewijs van de vereniging met God is het klinkende woord. Het is als hemelse muziek, die in het hart klinkt. Het is een onvergelijkbaar aangename toestand, die in de mens zaligheid teweegbrengt en het is het gevoel van de zoetste saamhorigheid, want de mens voelt de nabijheid van de Heer. En niets op aarde weegt tegen deze gelukkig makende toestand op. Niets anders kan zo’n zaligheid schenken dan de nabijheid van de goddelijke Heer en Heiland.

En toch staan maar weinig mensen in zo’n graad van liefde, dat ze het klinkende woord waardig zijn. God Zelf biedt de mensen op aarde het heerlijkste aan, maar slechts weinigen begeren dit kostbare geschenk, dat het leven op aarde tot een paradijs kan maken. Maar weinigen geven hun hart geheel aan de Heiland en verlangen naar niets meer van deze wereld. Maar weinigen gaan in de liefde voor de naaste op en delen alles wat ze zelf bezitten met hem. Weinigen geven alles weg om weer alles te kunnen ontvangen.

Hoe bereidwilliger het mensenkind is en hoe minder het aan het goddelijke werkzaam zijn tegenstand biedt, des te eerder zal het de stem van God in zich kunnen horen, want er moet aan de fijnste geestelijke roerselen aandacht geschonken worden en het hart moet met de volste tederheid naar God verlangen. De mens moet op aarde alleen daar maar naar streven, want als hij dit bereikt heeft, blijft hij gevrijwaard van alle verleidingen van het kwaad. Hij verlangt niets meer van het leven dan enkel de goddelijke liefde, die zich hoorbaar uit. Alle verlangens zwijgen als de Heer Zelf in het hart van de mens spreekt en dan onderwijst Hij het mensenkind en als deze Zijn stem hoort, verstomt elke twijfel.

Maar zo’n verbinding is ook alleen maar in het diepste geloof tot stand te brengen, want als de mens niet gelooft, dat bij God niets onmogelijk is, zal hij ook niet zo onvermoeibaar in zijn binnenste luisteren om de goddelijke stem te horen. En ofschoon de mensen de kennis daarover gegeven werd, is hun geloof te gering om alles in het werk te stellen om te bewijzen zo’n geschenk waardig te zijn.

Het klinkende woord levert de mens onnoemelijke zegen op, want hij gaat daardoor merkbaar opwaarts. Met het horen van het woord ontvangt de mens onvoorstelbare kracht en genade en de innige verbinding levert hem onnoemelijk geestelijk voordeel op, want al op aarde met de Heer verbonden te zijn, vereist een rijpheidsgraad, die de mens bij zijn heengaan van deze aarde een binnengaan in de lichtsferen oplevert, waarin hij God van aangezicht tot aangezicht mag zien.
