Activity of the individual....

The individual being covers the earthly path according to its destiny, i.e., one being cannot arbitrarily fulfil the activity or task of another being, since precisely these tasks of the beings in the different embodiments are also different. This is an order in creation which cannot be overturned, that every single creature is destined to an activity which again contributes to the preservation of the whole work of creation. Nothing is without purpose and meaning, so the task of every being must also correspond to this purpose and meaning. Whether it is recognized as such by people is sometimes questionable, for the human being does not possess the knowledge of the correlations in the work of creation, but if he acknowledges God as an extremely wise creator he should not be in any doubt, for nothing in creation can be without purpose which the wisest creator has created. Every individual being is destined to walk its earthly path in isolation for a certain time and then to mature through the fulfilment of the task assigned to it. In the higher development of the beings also lies the possibility of uniting with other, equally mature beings, which now again receive a new shell in order to enliven the earth again as individual beings. And this process of development continues until finally the outer form of innumerable spiritual beings, which were allowed to unite, has become the human body of flesh and now the whole is faced with the greatest and last task on earth to shape itself in such a way that it can leave the earth once without any outer form. Again the being.... the human being.... must now carry out an activity which can bring him the state of maturity, and this activity, which can bring him final liberation, is a conscious activity in love.... Admittedly, the human being also has to fulfil his earthly task independently of the spiritual task of shaping himself into perfection, and earthly activity also contributes towards the preservation of what God has created. But it is only ever the means to an end, for the first and most important purpose of earthly life is the shaping of the soul, which has to be carried out separately from earthly activity. And this always requires the being's connection with God, for without this it can certainly fulfil all earthly duties and carry out its activity as intended; but the soul can never shape itself according to God's will, for this requires extraordinary strength which is indeed unmeasured at the being's disposal but which has to be requested by God, thus the connection with Him has to be established first, which is the first and last goal of all beingness in creation. For the former separation from God was the cause of the emergence of the work of creation, therefore the union with God must be the goal and purpose of everything that God allowed to come into being. The being's course on earth must ultimately lead to unification with Him, provided the being in the final stage as a human being does not once again misuse its free will and distance itself from God again of its own accord....

Tätigkeit des Einzelwesens....

Das Einzelwesen legt den Erdenweg zurück seiner Bestimmung gemäß, d.h., es kann nicht willkürlich ein Wesen die Tätigkeit oder Aufgabe eines anderen Wesens erfüllen, da eben diese Aufgaben der Wesen in den verschiedenen Verkörperungen auch verschieden sind. Es ist dies eine Ordnung in der Schöpfung, die nicht umgestoßen werden kann, daß jedes einzelne Geschöpf bestimmt ist zu einer Tätigkeit, die wieder beiträgt zur Erhaltung des gesamten Schöpfungswerkes. Nichts ist ohne Zweck und Sinn, also muß auch die Aufgabe eines jeden Wesens diesem Sinn und Zweck entsprechen. Ob sie von den Menschen erkannt wird als solche, ist zwar mitunter fraglich, denn es besitzt der Mensch nicht das Wissen um die Zusammenhänge im Schöpfungswerk, doch so er Gott als einen überaus weisen Schöpfer anerkennt, darf ihn kein Zweifel befallen, denn es kann nichts zwecklos sein in der Schöpfung, was der weiseste Schöpfer geschaffen hat. Es ist ein jedes Einzelwesen bestimmt, eine gewisse Zeit isoliert seinen Erdenweg zu gehen und nun auszureifen durch das Erfüllen der ihm gestellten Aufgabe. In der Höherentwicklung der Wesen liegt auch die Möglichkeit des Zusammenschlusses mit anderen, gleich reifen Wesen, die nun wieder eine neue Hülle bekommen, um wieder als Einzelwesen die Erde zu beleben. Und es geht dieser Entwicklungsgang immer so fort, bis endlich die Außenform von unzähligen geistigen Wesenheiten, die sich zusammenschließen durften, der menschliche Fleischleib {geworden} ist und nun das Ganze vor die größte und letzte Aufgabe auf Erden gestellt wird, sich so zu gestalten, daß es ledig jeder Außenform einmal die Erde verlassen kann. Wieder muß nun das Wesen.... der Mensch.... eine Tätigkeit verrichten, die ihm den Reifezustand eintragen kann, und zwar ist diese Tätigkeit, die ihm endgültige Befreiung bringen kann, ein bewußtes Tätigsein in Liebe.... Es hat zwar der Mensch auch seine irdische Aufgabe zu erfüllen, unabhängig von der geistigen Aufgabe, sich zur Vollkommenheit zu gestalten, und auch die irdische Tätigkeit trägt wieder zur Erhaltung dessen bei, was Gott geschaffen hat. Sie ist aber immer nur das Mittel zum Zweck, denn der erste und wichtigste Zweck des Erdenlebens ist die Gestaltung der Seele, die gesondert von der irdischen Tätigkeit durchgeführt werden muß. Und das bedingt immer die Verbindung des Wesens mit Gott, denn ohne diese kann es wohl alle irdischen Pflichten erfüllen und seine Tätigkeit bestimmungsgemäß ausführen; es kann aber niemals die Seele sich gestalten nach Gottes Willen, denn dazu ist außergewöhnliche Kraft erforderlich, die dem Wesen zwar ungemessen zur Verfügung steht, aber von Gott erbeten werden muß, also zuvor die Verbindung mit Ihm hergestellt werden muß, was erstes und letztes Ziel alles Wesenhaften in der Schöpfung ist. Denn die einstmalige Trennung von Gott war Anlaß zum Entstehen des Schöpfungswerkes, also muß die Vereinigung mit Gott Ziel und Zweck alles dessen sein, was Gott entstehen ließ. Es muß der Gang des Wesens auf Erden letzten Endes zur Vereinigung mit Ihm führen, sofern das Wesen im letzten Stadium als Mensch nicht erneut seinen freien Willen mißbraucht und sich wieder von Gott entfernt aus eigenem Antrieb....
